Neferox bites out as the whirlwind swoops in to attack Vin, who manages to duck out of the way of the strikes aimed at him.
Vin then fires off a couple of beams of crackling energy at the whirlwind, at least one from point blank range, trying to get it away from him.
If he is successful, Neferox will charge across and clamp down on the whirlwind with her jaws, not once but twice. Otherwise, she will manoeuvre around Vin into a flanking position first, then bite at it twice.
Seeing how fast these whirlwinds are, neither Vin nor Neferox bother to move.

Elthana smiles as her blade bursts into fae flame, but her joy is short lived as Hector is thrown across the cavern. Seeing the thumbs up, she turns back to the elemental and the others than are conforming as well. Focusing on the first one, but moving on if she takes it out, she continues her onslaught.

Then she throws out a fist, her magical punch freezing as she does, Attack 3: 26, Damage 10
As Muir hurls his fire bolt and watches it singe the air elemental he takes a second to analyze the situation. Air elementals swirling around a dead Djinn. They are not undead so that rules out Nivara....Then why are they here? Muir thinks on the story and the grief that it caused this Djinn. In nature when one dies it is replaced by something else....in this case these air elementals. Muir is so deep in thought standing so still that the air elemental that tried to attack him missed thinking he may be a statue.
Muir raises his hands and kneels "Wait! Stop! We are not enemies! They are the Djinn's spirit or soul. We can't destroy them. He is dead but it is possible to return his spirit and life to him"
Gewyn plunges his sword into the crack and releases his concentration on flight. Holding on to the pillar with quickly numbing fingertips, he whistles shrilly, and his sword vibrates in resonance. It starts to glow red hot, and water and steam begin to emerge from the ice pillar, followed by more cracking sounds. That's when the air elemental strikes.
With his fingers deadened from the cold, he loses his grip immediately and is flung from his flimsy purchase, plummeting toward the ground.
Nef reactively bites out but misses her first attack. Luckily once the thing gets to smacking vin around it stays still and her next two attacks find their place. Though the whirlwind is difficult to bite and even more difficult to move. (Immune to prone, auto succeeds saves) Vins blast however does hit with enough force to slam the whirlwind back, which unfortunately causes his second shot to go wide.
Gewyn sinks his blade in and steam erupts from the ice pillar, he watches the cracks grow but not just from the blade hole that he has now made which spills water out onto the floor, these other cracks are being effected by something else and he realises what that is as they accelerate the moment that Elthana dissipates the whirlwind that had attacked her and hector. It loses its form as her first blade swing slashes through it, then she quickly moves her other attacks onto the one making its way to Muir.
With Muir's warning ringing in their ears, the group, especially Gewyn who is so close, watch as the cracks in the pillar get deeper, one crack forms about a meter into the ice though it is too tight to reach into. The crack splits through Gojiin's arm severing it from his body.
Hector decides not to regain his footing, he instead inverts his gravity sliding along the floor and essentially diving at the same whirlwind that Elthana is attacking, "Right now it's them or us Muir, and Gojiin has been gone for a long time" he states over the wind as he strikes down twice. Both attacks sink into the whirlwind and begin smelling foul once more, the whirlwind flickers but remains (39 damage total, wind bloodied)
The now bloodied whirlwind continues it's path and descends upon Muir, (AoO for Elthana) it occupies the same space threatening to Muir lift him off the ground as it lashes him to and fro slamming into him with force, (26 to hit, 17 thunder.) as Muir takes damage Hector tells out "fly you fool!" (Reaction feature 'Run, my child' Muir is commanded to move without taking AoO after taking damage.)
Gewyn after watching things revealed to him is beset by the whirlwind that attacked him before. It slams out but cannot throw him around as it had done before at least not yet. (16 to hit, 8 thunder. 19 to hit, 18 thunder)
Vin has his own problems. The whirlwind having been blown back 10ft moves to Neferox and attacks. (11 + 12 to hit, both miss) It then moves into Vin's space (AoO for Nef, DC 13 str save for vin taking 11 Thunder on a fail and being thrown 20ft off his broom, or 5 thunder no movement on success)
Elthana reaches out to attack the whirlwind that bypasses her and heads towards Muir.

She follows the creature, continuing to slash at it as it is threatening her friends. She isn't sure what is going on with what Muir is saying and it sounds like Hector thinks it is too late. If she fells this one she'll continue to the next closest.

Muir runs 30 feet as commanded away from all the air spirits and then yells to the others “I don’t know…if they won’t stop attacking then we must defend ourselves” Muir says rather sadly unsure of the Djinn will be dead forever.
Vin holds strong onto his broom as the Whirlwind attempts to consume him and throw him around, Neferox clamps down as it passes and manages to dissipate a little more of the wind's form. Finding Vin no threat it turns it's attention back on Nef slamming at her twice from its position (25 to hit, 17 thunder dam. 27 to hit, 12 thunder dam)
Elthana swipes out at the whirlwind heading to muir damaging it further as it passes, when she approaches she takes one final swipe and fatally dissipates it, turning her attention to the one hounding Gewyn she moves over inverting her gravity to the spire but misses her attacks. As the second whirlwind disappears the cracks spread through the pillar with a thunderous crunch, gewyn still heating his blade and trying to get closer is able to nearly touch Gojiin as chunks of ice begin to peel away. Gojiins body becomes even more fragmented by the cracking ice indiscriminately breaking through both ice and body.
The final whirlwind that was hounding Gewyn turns it's attention onto Elthana as she approaches aggressively, it slams at her and then occupies her space. (13 & 15 to hit, both miss) as the whirlwind consumes elthana she tries to hold on to her footing upon the pillar, (DC 13 STR save, 19 thunder dam and moved 20ft away from the pillar on fail, 9 thunder no move on success)
Hector launches himself at the pillar now yelling out, "I've heard the history often enough and know the balance of the relams, this feels like his latent elemental power trapped here in his grief..." his claws slash out at the pillar, focussing on the cracks and tearing chunks from the ice helping Gewyn out, "I could be wrong, but he's dead Muir, we should release his elemental spirit into the realm once more, only then can he live on..."
Neferox takes the brunt of the whirlwinds ire as she and Vin try and figure out a plan that doesn't involve destroying Gojiin, however Vin does manage to use his link to Neferox to absorb some of the pain.
When Hector pipes up that they have to keep fighting, or words to that effect, both Vin and Neferox switch back to offence, with Vin sending a pair of force beams at the whirlwind attacking Neferox, and Neferox biting out at it as well.
If it gets destroyed before they are done, they will switch to the next closest target, with Neferox bounding across to it.

Seeing Muir's expression, "It's alright old man, Hector knows about this world a whole lot more than you do, and if this is what he deems necessary, then I hope you can find it in yourself to be ok with it."she shouts to her friend over the din and then turns back towards her foe.

Gewyn vanishes into mist as the whirlwind closes on him, reforming next to his sword. Desperately, he tries plunging his arm through the crack, not caring how the edges may slice at his clothes or skin. "Not... yet... just a little closer..."
Grunting in frustration, even as he reaches with possible life in one hand, he prepares death in the other.
Prepared action: Inflict Wounds, 17points of necrotic damage if the air elemental gets close again
Muir, even in his dissapointment manages to rend a chunk of ice loose from the pillar as his fire bolt melts enough to cause a glide. As Vin lashes out his eldritch power sends the whirlwind cascading away and then completely diperses the thing, this time when the pillar crashes and crunches the cracks rip completely through Gojiin's body dismebering it in several places, the pillar now a jenga tower of precarious car sized frozen boulders being hung onto on one side by Gewyn, Elthana, and Hector. Neferox speeds over to attack the final whirlwind, her teeth meeting nothing but air, which in this case is a good thing as the air she tears at is a whirlwind, That particular whirlwind gets ganged up on and takes a beating both from Elthana, Neferox and Hector (25 damage total from hector) The whirlwind just hanging on by a thread goes to attack the one person closest to the oillar, Gewyn who has his full arm and a blade buried in the precarious ice. as it goes to attack Gewyns readied action goes off and without even looking back he disperses the whirlwind.

The pillar falls apart, chunks and pieces of both ice and elemental body go flying as well as Gewyn, Elthana, and Hector, all of whom had their gravity diverted toward the now scattered pillar, (Dc12 dex or take 8 bludgeoning from the fall) Hector goes sprawling on the floor once more.
Suddenly like the pressure being let out of a room, the howling wind outside stops, the immediate absence of such a loud presence is deafening in itself as the brain substitutes what it has gotten used to with a high pitched ringing. you all watch as a light begins forming from the chunks of Gojiin and float upward, losing their shine and dimming into nothing like an ember in the breeze. "he's gone..." Hector mumbles from the floor.
Vin watches the Djinn disappear and frowns, focussing more on the mission than a passing of a life right now.
"So we get no help from Gojiin himself. But there are people on this isle, right? Might they be able to help us?", he asks Hector as he flies down on Bry'ze and offers him a hand up.
Elthana rights herself once the pillar falls apart, the change of gravity almost becoming second nature to her. The change of atmosphere is a bit more of a shock and she watches, expecting something else to happen and not letting her guard down.
Muir sighs sadly "There must have been a way to bring him back....This is unfortunate that his grief killed him. Perhaps there is something on his person that we could bring to his siblings. This part of the realm....what more is there Hector do you know?"
Flung back, Gewyn rolls along the floor before getting his feet under him and grinding to a halt. Sweat beads his face, but he looks almost... relieved.
"I don't know what to tell you" hector states frustratedly to Muir. "He wasn't born, he was created, and Vox is dead... If you tried to bring him back then there's no telling what would happen, he could have come back changed. But would it really be worth it for your own means? Wouldn't taking that risk be the same method of chaos that Nivara employs? Go ahead and search the bits of him if you like, there might be something to show or to help I suppose."
As vin flies down and asks, the old man thinks, "they've likely had no news on Vox, on the state of the realm. Those who were guards under gojiin stopped getting paid but liked their power and so from what I understand they kept his passing somewhat of an open secret and formed militias to keep their heads above the common person. This isle has fallen to destruction already... But one can try."
Vin frowns, "It sounds as if we better off heading back then, than risking coming across militias out for personal gain".
"After all, we are here because we were told the Djinn were stronger together, and that is no longer a possibility", he adds, eager to leave and be on their way before anything else goes wrong.
He looks around, "The next question is which is the best way out. The entrance to the tower was blocked by ice, so we might be better off walking down the outside. Or flying". He pats Bry'ze as he mentions flying.
