Durnir extends his hand to Ivy and says "Ivy, I don't think he's actually in the...... Well damn it." He watches as Adaban materializes. He hangs his head as Walf mocks him "You're never gonna let me live the berry thing down, are you? The damn monkey's were eating them, I figured a Dwarf could, too!"
He turns to Adaban "And you! You could have said you were poofing into the ring! Not a word, just that you could take the chest back! I thought you might have just ran off! Hang on, let me take a look at that chest before anyone opens it." Durnir will inspect the chest with detect magic, to see if there is anything magical about it or it's contents.
"Okay, I'm heading down for real now." He'll walk by Brynn, pat him on the shoulder and says "You get use to the weird stuff. Trust me." Then makes his way downstairs before his Detect Magic wares off.
Ahryman watches curiously as Ivy walks over to Durnir, leaning in to seemingly talk to the dwarf's ring. His golden eyes goes briefly wide as the pale man then suddenly appears in the room. "So, you are Abadan then I assume?"The blue-skinned cambion says after a moment, moving over to offer his clawed hand to the albino.
"Of course we should look inside the chest, perhaps I can be of assistance with any annoying locks it might have."Ahryman offers Durnir.
If allowed, Ahryman would hunch down to investigate the chest, without touching it at first. Investigation: 22
"Yes, quite correct to call one Ahryman." The blue-skinned cambion says with a friendly smile. "I'm a simple traveller who had the fortune of getting the company of your comapnions. Now, do you know anything about this chest and it's contents Abadan?"
Durnir laughs at Adaban's interactions. "Alright, lets open it, I suppose. Ahryman, you said you can open it. Put on some gloves. I'll tell you what's bad to touch."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Oh, apologies Adaban."The blue-skinned cambion says with a friendly smile, glancing up at the albino, then returning his focus to the chest. Assuming he doesn't notice any indication of a trap Ahryman then produces some slender tools from the back of his belt. "Just something I picked up during my travels." He casually explains as he gets to work on the lock.
Ivy bounces and claps their hands in excitement at Adaban's appearance. She then watches the interactions with glee, unable to contain soft giggles when Walf would remind them of Durnir's tummy troubles that one time.
While quite interested in the contents of the chest, and Ahryman's attempt at opening it, Durnir had health and safety covered through his supervision. Content with this, Ivy's attention wondered. She couldn't help but notice Brynn's discomfort with magic.
Ivy takes large wide side steps and saddles up beside Brynn, bumping into him. "So, magic makes you uncomfortable?" Blue hues blink at him in curiosity. She had remembered what Walf had told them earlier, that some may have their reasons to be afraid. "May I ask why?" Their head tilts.
" cause i dont understand it and i cant fight it. Father says the onlyest thing i am good at is fighting and if i cant fight it then im a burdon" Brynn looks at Uve sheepishly
Ivy’s face softens. She looks thoughtful as Brynn’s words fill their mind, even a bit sad from the tail end of his sentence. After a few moments of silence, Ivy then brings their hands together, cupping them in front of them. “Things can be scary when we don’t understand.” She starts softly, gently nodding. “Walf helps teach me to understand magic and better control the gifts I was born with.” The young half-elf whispers something in another language, cups their hands together and blows into their palms. “You don’t always have to fight it.” Then she opens them. A pink flower unravels itself, blooming in their palm, giving off a gentle fragrance from a land far from here. “Magic can be good.” Blue hues look to Brynn as she holds up the illusionary flower to him. She smiles a bit bashfully. “While I know there are baddies out there who abuse these elements, I also know others can do just as much good, if not more.” Their eyes look hopeful. “I believe there’s harmony in magic. A balance that even I can find…” Ivy feels their cheeks grow warm. “My vow has been to use what gifts I’ve been given to protect.” Whether that was their pack, their way of life, or the balance of nature itself, Ivy trusted their instincts and Walf’s teachings.
(Spell: Prestidigitation to conjure up a flower in a friendly display of magic.)
A tear forms and rolls down Walf's cheek. Understanding bits and pieces of Ivy's speech to Brynn, Walf can't help but feel a sense of pride and happiness that Ivy has become such a wonderful student of magic.
Overhearing the exchange, Adaban cocks his head for a moment, listening intently to Ivy's reasoning about magic. A smile comes across his face and he adds in a gentle tone, as if to educate a child, "Magic... good and bad? None. Magic... an ocean. Cold. Uncaring. Eternal. Like Adaban. One must journey Ocean. Many dangers. Never journey, never reach new places. Never see new things. Never gain new stories for Eternal Lover."
Brynn blushes at Ivy "That may be" looking around the group "and i doubt i would ever learn any of it. But this group looks a bit light if you understand what i am saying.. Well mostly." Looking at the Dwarf. "I guess im askin if you need a good sword arm?"
Walf looks at his arms "Walf have 2 arms. Walf use for eating, drinking, magics, oh oh" He takes out his staff excitedly and motions wildly with it showing off what he believes are, his skills, while saying "Bonk! Bonk!"

Unfortunately, the lock seems to be of decent quality and Ahryman is unable to work it open.
As he works on the lock, Ahryman pauses to look up with his golden eyes at Ivy, Brynn, Walf and Adaban being very sweet together, then smiling and returning his attention to his tools. "Hey, what do you mean light?" He says, looking up at Brynn with a wink. Somewhat distracted by the almost overwhelming sweetness in the room, the blue-skinned cambion fails to focus enough to defeat the mechanism of the lock. "No, sorry, can't do it." Ahryman says standing up with a sigh, frustration apparent over not getting to see the contents of chest. "Any other ideas or should we head downstairs?" He says, looking first at Durnir and then at the others.

As Adaban appears in the room with the chest, you sense two separate necromantic auras coming from within the chest.
Durnir blinks. "Huh..... Ummm, yea, there two more necromantic auras coming from the chest. Shit. Okay, do we still want to open it?"
((He isn't going downstairs for now, he's going to stay if the chest get's open, to make sure people don't touch the necrotic things..))
"I think i need a drink. I dont understand any of this" Brynns eyes never leave the pale figure

"...I am." He seems to struggle with the phrasing, but manages to respond to that part correctly. "Correct to call one Ahryman?"

"No Abadan... A-da-ban. Like so..." His tone turns friendly as he corrects Ahryman. "Chest with unopened secrets... I... do not know."
