Watching the last of the ghouls burn away, shakes off the memories of other funeral pyres. Looks at Lowclaw, Bombil, Tagreth, Thorin, Asserion, & Ratchet; not all hero’s are interred in mausoleums of stone. Saying a silent prayer for the individuals whose bodies were defiled, he falls into step with the rest of the party.
A somewhat mischievous expression crossed Victor's face as he noticed Bombil looking at him after having mentioned that someone that they'd already spoken to was in fact the dragon. "Obviously it's me." He said in an overly sarcastic tone before shaking his head slightly. "But in all honesty, it's actually Stoneclaw, he let it slip to me one evening before I went on my evening rounds back when I was still working as a guard for him."
"His behavior at dinner was a bit odd, for a nobleman," the half-elf opines. "It is a possibility. But at present, it doesn't seem a possibility that will find the man's son." It's as close to a prompt as he wishes to go, but he seems ready to advance.
"Well I dislike standing still. Shall we move on. I would like to explore more of the tunnels and perhaps find these elves Victor mentioned"Thorins waits for the others.
Victor nods slightly as he pulled his cloak closer to him. "The last time I saw them they had been headed towards the main chambers. If they are still down here then they might have suffered a similar fate to the poor souls that you just slayed. Although if the arm you found belonged to one of them they could have made their way out of the tunnels and back into the city."
Tagreth nods his head and turns to Thorins, "Yes, I was just going to suggest the same thing. Let's not waste any more time standing around here chatting. We need to press on through the tunnels."
"I am also ready for pressing on further if you are, good sirs." says Bombil, "Shall we head towards the main chambers of these tunnels? Or elsewhere?"

As soon as the party continues onward they hear a low rumble from the east followed by a smaller crashing sound not that far from where the party is. If you were to listen closely you could hear what sounds like metal dragging against stone, likely coming from inside the main chamber.
"If you do end up finding him, hopefully he's still in one piece. Although if he went missing down here that's probably the least likely outcome. And it's a damn shame to, because that kid was one of the kindest people I'd met."
"Yeah, I also hope to find him in one piece," Tagreth replies. "It would be a first for me to find someone I have been looking for in multiple pieces. I hope not to find a gruesome scene."
He then follows Thorin, before looking over his shoulder.
"Are you coming Assarion?"

The fighter draws at the noise, and moves closer to the front of the party. "Let us see, then, what thereat is, and this mystery explore," he quotes enigmatically.
Bombil lays down the broom once more. "Well, Broomhilda," he says to the broom of flying, "shall we have another jaunt?" He speaks the command word to activate it and continues after the others, hovering only a couple feet above the ground. Given the lighting of the torches, he also dismisses the Light he had cast on his lamp earlier and returns it to his bag.
As they continue down the tunnel the metallic sound seemed to move away slowly, a faint and somewhat pained cry following shortly afterwards. Whatever is making the sound doesn't seem hostile but it's possible that there's something else in there that caused the creature to react in such a way.

"Are you coming Assarion?"
Victor nodded slightly and glanced down as he thought about what could have possibly happened to Stoneclaw's son. "... Yeah, it's never pleasant to find someone in multiple pieces. Even though I've seen more than my share of gruesome scenes it never does get any easier." He admitted with a faint sigh.

Victor turned slightly and raised a brow as he watched Bombil's broom begin to hover off the ground. "I never expected to see a flying broom in person. Up until today I'd only heard about them in stories that my parents and partner would tell me. Have you ever forgotten..." he trailed off slightly and shook his head a little. When he heard the metallic sounds coming from ahead of them he reached into a small pouch that he had hidden under his cloak, pulled a small vial of liquid out of it and glanced at it for a moment debating on using it or not. "I've never heard anything like that down here before."
"Violence has been done. We should hasten," he advises. He quickens his pace, following the sound and still keeping his senses stretched. (Perception: 12, in game log)
Pained cry. Metallic sound. Could it be the person whose arm got severed? Could they perhaps have known some of Xavword's devices and be utilizing them? Bombil turns to the group, "If it's alright with you guys, I think I might like to call out. It could be that there's a person in need of aid ahead who could benefit from knowing our presence."
Tagreth turns to Bombil, "The only problem there is that it won't just be that one person who hears you. It will draw the attention of others as well."

As the party moves forwards the tunnel widens as it opens up into a massive chamber (or at least massive compared to the tunnel) in the middle of the chamber there is what looks to be a statue of a dragon and in the area surrounding the statue there seems to be several graves, one of which looks to have been recently messed with.
{With an 11 Thorin does notice some rather large claw marks near the end of the tunnel before the entrance of the main chamber almost as if something was either trying to escape into the tunnel to hide or something was trying to dig into the wall to make a hiding place to possibly ambush anything that passed by that specific spot.}

Victor glanced between Bombil, Kaliden and Tagreth for a moment before nodding slightly in response to what the latter two had said. He knew first hand how true that was but at the same time he was curious as to what had been making that sound. "It's always a good idea to be cautious when it comes to sounds that you are uncertain of. Even if it isn't something inherently dangerous it might attack us if it thinks we're going to hurt it. Out of curiosity... do any of you know elvish, just in case?"
{With a 15 Kaliden can hear the low whisper of something that seems to be trying to soothe the injured creature as well as the sound of the metal scraping against stone almost as if it was trying to get away from the whisperer. The scent of smoke and what could possibly be freshly scorched fur or maybe hair are drifting towards the entrance of the chamber.}
"Nevertheless, we should hasten," urges the fighter, "lest we find only pieces of the victim." With that, he matches his deeds to his words.
Victor took a breath before placing the vial back in the pouch. After a couple seconds he grabbed one of his daggers and glanced at Assarion for a moment. "I agree, we need to get in there and put an end to whatever is attacking that person or creature because honestly it could be either one but the outcome of finding them in pieces might still be high if whoever or whatever it is is the one that lost it's arm..."
{With a 12 Assarion can hear the sound of the crying and metal dragging louder than it was. The person or creature that is crying sounds scared and every so often he hears something said in what might be draconic. The metallic sound seems to be coming from some sort of chain. There is also a second much deeper voice that seems to be trying to comfort the crying being but he can't make out what they are saying.}
"Very well then. I shall trust your judgement." replies Bombil to Tagreth/Kaliden/Victor. He goes over to the dragon statue and checks it out. "Hello, my inert friend. Are you a Stoneclaw?" he quietly chuckles to himself in Draconic as he goes about looking around at it.
What kind of dragon is it? Does it look like there's any contraptions Xavword or someone else might've hidden on it?
When Victor asks if any of them knows Elvish he replies with a grin and in Elvish, "With as many elves as there are in this city, it's hard to not pick up the language."
