{With a 15 Eglar has a sense that the claw prints could possibly belong to a dragon wyrmling, although the likelihood of that actually being what had left the marks was low.}
Karrigg continues a cautious pursuit, trying to remain hidden. This looked to be the effect of a nasty beast, not a man. Best not to wind up food for whatever ripped the arm off
Ludolf continues forward, hoping to find the gate and the source of the sound. He quietly whispers “Everyone get ready, hurry up now…”. He keeps his other hand on the dagger at his side.
As the party continues forwards down the tunnel they reach the purple flamed torches and about halfway down on the right side one of the torches is positioned at a slightly peculiar angle. Underneath it there is something written on the wall in Infernal, it appears to be written in blood but it could just be thanks to the color of the light.
"Um, do you think Xavword could be in his true form? Those look like dragon tracks. I guess we should of asked Stoneclaw about that."
He wonders if any bastard siblings could be about, as he follows. He gives a questioning side glance to Andnon and also wonders if Xavword could be turning into a halfdragon.
Karrigg will keep his distance from the odd torch, casting a mage hand to attempt to turn the torch or settle into place... (Investigating by manipulating it if that makes sense, my brain thinks hidden lever )
"Andnon... Is that a message for you? Infernal isn't that common. Seems like if Xavword thought you'd find him, he might leave a message for you like this."
Andnon paused for a moment and glanced at the tracks with a curious expression, then he shook his head slightly. "I don't believe that he'd turn into his true form in such tight quarters. The only places down here he could do that are 'the main chamber' and his father's old lair. That being said, perhaps it could be his younger sister or maybe he had a child of his own and he's been forced to hide it from everyone by the other parent...?"
As the hand moves the torch back into place off in the distance there is a loud sound that almost sounds as though a heavy door of some sort has been opened or perhaps closed. When Andnon heard about the message written in Infernal a curious expression crossed his face and he quickly made his way over to where the message was written.
"It might be... although I don't recognize the hand writing." He said as he read the message with a raised brow. "I might not be alive by the time someone else reads this but whatever you do... don't move that torch until you're certain it's safe. There are only two ghasts at the moment but that doesn't mean that there aren't more somewhere deeper. -Victor...?"
“Andnon it sounds like you know where this leads… main chamber. Where does this go exactly? Are we walking into an ambush with ghasts? And why is Victor leaving this message? Who is reanimating these ghasts? Speak quickly!” Ludolf keeps his hand on the dagger of warning, watching down the passageway and listening for sounds.

"Well I've been down here a good handful of times and all of those times were with Xavword. If we keep moving forwards, about one hundred and fifty feet ahead of us there is a... I'm not entirely sure how to describe it but Xavword jokingly called it 'the main chamber' when we were younger so that's why I called it that. There are multiple tunnels like this one that converge into it, one of said tunnels leads to Sir Stoneclaw's lair although I'm not entirely sure which one it is, most of the other tunnels lead to areas nearby the estates of the nobles in the city." He said before taking a breath. He wasn't entirely sure why Victor would have left that message or who had reanimated the Ghasts. "I-I don't know... I wasn't aware that the city was having a ghast problem as well as the small infestation of ghouls. If I had to wager a guess whoever that message was for never made their way down here, or if they did they may have met their untimely demise. I wish I knew but I don't, well... unless it was done by one of the ghoul."
Ludolf keeps moving forward, one hand on the hilt of his dagger, the other with a fire bolt ready to cast in his hand. “Let’s keep moving and see what we can find…”

As Ludolf and the others continue moving forwards another loud crashing sound echoed down the tunnel towards them. It sounded a little bit closer now but not close enough to see what had caused it. Shortly after the sound of footsteps could be heard, whoever they belonged to seemed to be running away from something.
"Hopefully I lost them... I don't know how much longer I can keep running before they catch me again." A voice said as the footsteps stopped for a moment, almost as if the person had stopped to catch their breath or to check to see that they weren't being followed.
Ludolf continue as well, going forward, and he calls out “Wait, who is that? Xavword? Are you there?” He uses prestidigitation to create a shower of sparkles 10 feet ahead to hopefully surprise the person ahead of them and get them to stop.

The owner of the voice was surprised when he heard someone call out to him and after a couple of seconds he responded. "No, I'm not Xavword. I don't know where he is but hopefully he's not down here. My name is... Frederick Ravenblood." He replied, slowly approaching where he'd heard the voice. When he saw the sparkles ahead of him he raised a brow slightly and reluctantly stopped.
"Ravensblood, why are you down here may I ask. And Who were you talking too? It seems you're as quiet as a rolling boulder. We might be able to help defend you from, what you were running from."
