“a 'scrap' of parchment that initially doesn't look important although upon closer inspection it looks to be something along the lines an invitation or something akin to that and a handheld mirror that appears to have been broken. On the bookshelf near the door there's the 'private' journal which upon closer inspection has something written on the cover in draconic (it roughly translates into 'Xavword's Adventures' and looks to have been written by a child some time ago.), the ornate silver ring and the music box. If he was to move the music box he would find a small bag with 10 gold and 25 silver, an unopened letter from Andnon and an empty vial.”
Ludolf is listening, but looks on with interest as the secret passage is found and as these items are put on the bed. First he goes to the scrap of parchment and examines it, giving it a good sniff and then reading it. Then he opens up Xavword’s Adventures and gives it a read, curious to know how Xavword thinks. Lastly he comes to the letter from Andnon, opening it and reading it, scanning Andnon’s thoughts as he does. “Where is that passage leading, Eglar?”

"I'm surprised you didn't know about this one." Eglar says while tapping around with a small rod then using his hands. Checking for anymore secrets.
"I know, I should have been more aware of this but I didn't want to infringe on my son's privacy." Nikolas replied as he watched Eglar tapping around the room with a small rod.
{With a 24 Eglar doesn't really find anything that would stand out as something that could be used to open a secret passage or anything like that. The hidden room is slightly bigger than the bedroom. There are a few piles of books near the eastern wall of the room, a chest that's lid is cracked ever so slightly near the western wall, a comfortable looking chair was nestled between the piles of books along with a small table and on the southern wall just beside the secret door there was a small desk and stool that was used as a makeshift seat. On the desk there is a somewhat important looking book laying open on a half written on page.}

One of the slightly newer entries in 'Xavword's Adventures'- 'I found a kitten in the garden this morning and I snuck it into the house. I know mother and father would be cross with me for bringing the little one in with telling them about it first but I didn't think it was right to leave them out in the rain. Maybe I could convince them to let me keep the little one here until I can ask around to see if someone is missing a kitten.
Andnon's thoughts: 'Why did I have to give him that...? I should have just told him about the undead in the tunnels in person. Although he probably already knew about them before he met up with me that night...
Ludolf looks around the room then follows Eglar, in his mind accounting for everyone’s thoughts and tuning them out, one by one, making sure there is no one in the room or the small hidden room unaccounted for. He picks up and looks at the journal, casting light on the wall in the secret room. “What have we here…”

Moving forward and seeing the secret passageway was merely an alcove, Flutter sighs, then asks, "Eglar, Ludoff, please give us the summary of your investigations. As Ludolf listened for any unaccounted for thoughts he didn't pick up on any, the room was clear of any unseen spies. When he picks up the journal he feels as though something is watching him even though there was nothing there. Upon casting Light on the wall the strange feeling began to fade although it didn't fully vanish from him. The cover of the journal has something that appears to be a cloud scratched into it and underneath it there's something written on it, 'Dreams and thoughts of the future' written in a similar manner as what had been written on the journal in the bedroom.
Still looking with detect magic, Ludolf looks in the room for anything else of note. He picks up the journal and starts to read through it, wanting to know what Xavword is dreaming of. He says to everyone gathered, “I’m getting a strange feeling in this room, like I’m being watched…”. ((Anything of note in the journal?))

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Eglar takes his crowbar and pushes open the lid of the chest to see what's inside.
Inside the chest there's a deck of cards, an amulet, a cloak, a circlet that looks a little out of place, a pair of boots and several scrolls and books.

He says to everyone gathered, “I’m getting a strange feeling in this room, like I’m being watched…”. ((Anything of note in the journal?))
The journal doesn't have much of note in it although there is one particular entry that does stand out. 'I don't know why his words still echo in my mind but maybe he has a point. It would never work but there's a small part of me that wants to prove him wrong and show him that I can fix the mess that we unintentionally caused. It might be difficult but... but it's just a few ghouls so it shouldn't be all that bad.'
Several items in the chest seem to stand out with detect magic.
If Ludolf was to take a look other than the Deck of Illusions, the Clockwork Amulet and the Circlet of Blasting he'd find five Spell Scrolls. {One 1st level spell scroll (Sleep), two 2nd level spell scrolls (Invisibility, Shadow Blade) and two 3rd level spell scrolls (Haste, Life Transference).}
Ludolf looks and sees the magical items, in the background he hears but doesn’t really hear Eglar. His hands instantly go to the scrolls as he picks them up, handling them gently and examines them. “These will be most helpful. We can use this in finding your son. I can also add these to my book rather quickly…”. He holds up the circlet of blasting and the deck of illusions. “I can return these to him once we have found him. Anyone?” He says, holding up the deck and circlet.
As Ludolf is examining the journal and reads the passage note, he starts to read it aloud. “I don't know why his words still echo in my mind but maybe he has a point. It would never work but there's a small part of me that wants to prove him wrong and show him that I can fix the mess that we unintentionally caused. It might be difficult but... but it's just a few ghouls so it shouldn't be all that bad.'” He pauses there and turns to Stoneclaw if nearby, “Do you have any idea what he is talking about? Your son wouldn’t be getting into the dark art of necromancy, would he?” He focuses his helm on. Stoneclaw as he gives his reply.

He quietly watched as examined the scrolls and took out the deck and circlet. He didn't say anything although he did glance at the deck with a curious expression. 'Where did he get those?'He thought with a raised brow. Then he took a breath and listens as Ludolf reads from the journal. Upon hearing the mention of ghouls he started to go pale.
"A couple weeks back I had received information about a large increase in reports of undead. I don't believe that Xavword had any interest in necromancy, although I have heard rumors that the previous guard captain had been practicing in the dark art."
“Didn’t someone say that there were catacombs with undead nearby? Perhaps he went off to fight some ghouls there,” guesses Flutter.
"Yes I do believe that someone did happen to mention it, and it's not that far away. I don't know if that's what he went to do but if he did go off to fight the ghouls then..." He trailed off and shook his head slightly. "Hopefully he'll be okay if that's the case."
