Ludolf snaps his attention to the invisible lurker as he stands, saying “There is someone with us…” and concentrates the power of his helm, using it to cast suggestion on the invisible lurker, telling him to “End your invisibility, make yourself visible to us and lie down on the ground, with your hands behind your back!”
"I suggest you show yourself in peace. You are among the most capable warriors in the world!" Eglar moves to grapple Athletics 24
"Okay, I... I'll do it." The Invisible lurker's voice was a bit shaky as he hears what Eglar said. Once the spell had been dropped a young and somewhat frail looking Tiefling stood where there had once been just an outline. As Eglar approached him he looked down at the floor and he whispered, "I'm sorry." He doesn't resist the grapple knowing that it'd probably end badly for him if he did.
Ana whispered a prayer for guidance, then finally spoke up. She pitched her voice as persuasively as she could as she suggested, "There's no need to sneak around. Please, join us."
Persuasion 8 + 1
The Tiefling looks at Ana quietly and takes a breath. "... I didn't really intend to sneak around when I first got here. I had intended to ask Sir and Madam Stoneclaw if they had heard word from Xavword since he hadn't made it to Wintercall yet and my employer was starting to worry that he'd gotten lost or attacked while on the way there." He let out a soft sigh. "Join you? You're not asking me to join you all so you can kill me are you?"

Jilenyphe looks surprised and somewhat confused by the sudden appearance of the Tiefling, she glances at him with a raised brow almost as if trying to figure out if what he was saying was true or not. Nikolas who hadn't initially noticed the spy turned around when he heard the commotion behind him and a look of pure shock crossed his face, he hadn't expected anyone to actually be there but now that he saw the younger man he let out a faint curse under his breath before shaking his head ever so slightly almost as if he recognized the mysterious stranger.
"Why, he's just a young one." Eglars voice is tainted with sympathy "Help me search the young man. Anyone that can get past the senses of a dragon should be useful. If he can be trusted but if you can be trusted since we caught you you're ours." he laughs in his baratone voice then softens his voice "To keep and take care of if you join us" Ludolf?" Any thoughts?"He waits for the device and helps with the search. "First things first who's your employer?"
As the interaction occurs he keeps his mind focused on the Tiefling, listening to the thoughts in his mind as he is being questioned.
When Nikolas turns around and sees him, Ludolf shifts his focus to Nildorayth and scans his thoughts as he obviously recognizes the tiefling. He echoes out loud to Nildorayth “Yes, who is this, Nikolas?”and listens to the thoughts that bubble to the surface as Nikolas sees him.
Afterward, he switches his connection back to the Tiefling once again as he is asked about his employer.

Nikolas shifted his gaze from the Tiefling to Karrigg and then to Ludolf. His fingers gently tapped against his pants legs and shook his head ever so slightly before letting out a soft sigh. "I never did learn his name but I do recall having seen him running around with my son back when they were just children. At first I thought he might have been the child of one of the staff but I never saw him around except when him and Xavword were playing in the garden..." he trailed off slightly and glanced over at the Tiefling with a raised brow. "Young man, if you are to be trusted then perhaps it would be for the best if you told them who you are."
Nikolas' Thoughts-
'How did I not notice him in here sooner?'
'If he was able to sneak in without me noticing could it be that more have slipped past me...?'
The Tiefling's Thoughts-
'I... I'm probably going to die here, aren't I? I should have told my mother and father about my intentions before leaving and taking up this job for Ketmora and Vonrak...'
'Maybe I should have kept looking for him rather than finding my way here.'
The Tiefling shut his eyes and felt his tail slowly wrapping around his leg before slowly opening his eyes and looking over at the others with a very hesitant smile. "My name is Andnon..." he trailed off slightly and glanced down at the mention of being searched.
Upon searching Andnon you find a ring of necrotic resistance, a set of fine clothes, 2 daggers, a rapier, a set of leather armor, a viol, a 1 once bottle of ink, an ink pen, five sheets of paper, some sealing wax, a vial of perfume, a signet ring and a scroll of pedigree
"My employer is Ketmora Darkslayer, although my employment to her was rather recent.. she needed some to help look into a certain member of the ruling class over in Espar and while I was probably the last person she thought would be willing to help I chose to do it anyway."
Eglar hands the boy a pastry he took from the table but keeps a tight grip
"Eat up just,Andnon, I bet you're hungry watching all that food being ate I know I would be. No reason to be afraid I think Nikolas over there is rather proud of you or should be. Besides who better than his sons bestfriend to tell us everything he knows about him. To help us find the man. Heck Nikolas should treat you to a heroes feast if you lead us straight. Did he ever show you his journals?"
"Also you seem to know the woman we need to meet, your employer Darkslayer. Spill all the knowledge please."

Andnon looks at the pastry for a moment as it had been handed to him, giving it a quick sniff before biting into it. He stayed quiet as he ate the pastry but once it was finished he thought about what Eglar was saying for a moment.
"Thank you... it's been quite sometime since I've had something that actually tasted like decent food." He smiled ever so slightly before a surprised expression crossed his face and he glanced towards Stoneclaw for a moment. "You really think he might be proud of me? I mean... if there's any way I can help find him then you can bet your bottom that I'll do what I can. We've been pretty close since we were kids but he's about four years older than I am, that being said he was kinda like an older brother in a manner of speaking... although he was the one always getting into trouble." There was a couple seconds of silence when the journals were mentioned but shook his head ever so slightly. "I only ever got to read the one that he kept in his room but I doubt that it'll be much help to anyone here. It was mostly just random gossip and plans that he had for the future. I mean if you think it might shed some clues as to where he might have gone then maybe I could try recalling what was on the pages."
Nikolas stays quiet for a moment as he listens to those who are speaking before slowly turning away from the group for a second before nodding. "That is fine, it wouldn't be the first time I've shared a meal with a small group in there. Well... other than spying on us he didn't really do much wrong so I guess he can join us in there. He does look like he could use a couple good meals, good thing the cook tends to go all out when it comes to dinner so I can see to it that they bring him a decent amount of food when we get to the office."
{With a 15 as Ludolf reads the pedigree and looks over the signet ring it doesn't take him long to realize that it belongs to a certain ruling family from none other than Espar. As soon as he notices the name Crestheart he may also notice that Andnon seems to have gone significantly paler than he had been prior. The other ring looks to be rather new compared to everything else on him, it has a rather finely crafted band which is sporting a jet stone in it.}
Ludolf walks over to Sir Stoneclaw and shows him the pedigree and signet ring, points out the Espar and Crestheart connection to him. As he is doing so he says “Andnon, do you know a blue Dragonborn fellow by the name of Yostil Dakaryh? Seen him lately, have you?” As he does so, he keeps the focus from the helm on him, hearing his thoughts as he says the name, trying to piece together connections. He pauses to listen and hear his thoughts and says to Stoneclaw “The Captain of the Guard, what was his name again?”
