Leo stands up as the guards toss in another member of our team, looking intently at his chained wrists “Right, no picks, armed guards, need to escape but can’t kill anyone, limited resources and locked in a cage” Leo turns slowly looking at the cage and wagon in detail trying to form a plan. “Think, think” he mumbles.
preception looking for weaknesses in the cage or wagon 16
OOC hi AA can I get a description of the wagon and it’s dimensions to help with planning.
“I must have dropped them when I made that astonishing movement back there “ says Dekket obviously annoyed. “Why do you say can’t kill anyone?” He asks to Leo “ You still think this is a test? They can shove their test where the sun never shine” he says “ First they obligue us to kill ourselves, then they put us on chains... I thought they were a respetable and cunning organization, not a bunch of pyscopaths.” He curses in another language and says to the others.
“Other than trying to spook the horses and trample over the guards and try to break once we are out of sight, the only point I see that we can try to escape is when they transfer us to the prision, hit the guards, and make a run for it. I guess that only two or three will make it, perhaps one more if Coltra is still out there helping us... but look at the bright side... that coward and stupid captain had called half the guard of the city here just to aprehend us, the rest of the Order should been having a great time now that all are here. I think we’re screwed on porpuose guys.”
Coltra paces along keeping to himself for now and not attracting attention quite a way behind the cart but close enough to see if any of the other members of the crew try anything.

Vhon - Level 2 Warlock - What shall become of the Drunken Sailor?
OOC: No need, Dekket was beign sarcastic and trying to add some “fun” RP to the faliure on acrobatics. As I said on PM I didn’t think that he had thieve’s tools due to the pick of initial equipment as a fighter, I didn’t ask for them during character creation, and even the whole idea of the character beign a silver-tongued and fine swordman doesn’t seems likely that he had one set, at least not until he had seen that they could come handy from time to time.. :)
Seeing no other possibilities Coltra slips into the alleys and heads back to the silver sail looking for a way to get phaedra and Tyburn to help him rescue the others.

As Dekket is thrown in the back of the wagon with the other three Order initiates, Lucian gives the tiefling the slow-clap. "Well done. I haven't seen anything like that in...well, never, I suppose." He sinks back into a corner, and feeling defeated he offers to their failed rescuer, "Thanks for trying at least." He then watches as the "old man" who sent the captain off to help slinks off to the alley, knowing that they still may have a chance yet.
“Yeah... “ replies Dekket to Lucian “That was quite impressive right?.” He drops the sarcams for a moment and replies to Lucian in thieve’s cant hoping that Coltra can still hear them “I had to try. Didn’t felt right not to. We will find another moment.”
(Note: Dekket is speaking in Thieve’s cant all the time. I remember that in Dragonlance Tanis and Raistlin spoke on a kind of dialect “for mercenaries” and we do somehting like that for thieve’s cant in my RL group. Sorry not knowing enough english to do something like that now)
“We better wait were none of this can hear us, but I would like to open it against the head of two rats we know...”
“Thank for trying” says Leo to Dekket “we might have better luck at the other end of our journey” Leo settles in watching the guards at the front and looking for their destination.
Moving slowly the party witnesses the draw their captivity brings as more and more of the Dockland denizens are coming to observe thier trek to the garrison. It takes twenty minutes but they reach a stone outerwall of the garrison.
The driver calls out for the gates to open as the six guards move into a flanking position at the back if the cart.
"Seems you lot are on your own," the driver calls out snickering as the garrison gate opens wide allowing the cart to pass as the six guards disperse back to their watch rotation.
The party is surrounded on all sides with a bustling garrison. City Guard all around in stages of training, maintenance of weapons and armor as well as interacting with one another.
"Four to process Graves," the driver calls out as he reigns the horses towards a low building with a single floor and a stone facade. "Medusa's hard up if they're letting these rank amatures," he adds gesturing back towards the party. "I'm done for the day then. Fields is following up on a murder in the Middle Roads. He should be back soon enough to sign papers," he adds before walking away from the wagon.
Two guards come to the back of the wagon afterwards but before unlocking the door on the wagon he glares at each of you.
"No funny business and we'll remember to feed you," he says.
Its a older human man that looks haggard but harden by his years as a job. The other man doesn't say a word but is holding a whip loose at his side.
"Get out," the older human says after opening the door.
OOC: Y'all can choose how you enter this part of the story or I'll narrate. Let me know!
Coltra reaches the Silver Sail and finds the doors guarded by two familiar looking men from the night before rivalries.
"All right," calls out a half-elf with wide scars across a once handsome face.

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
Leo steps forward and hops down off the cart, landing just in front of the older guard, with a smile “good day sir, I believe you are holding a room for me and my companions” Leo steps to the left by one step to allow the others out as well.
"I've been better"says Coltra clearly seething with anger "Is Phaedra here, or that lump that follows her around everywhere? We have a situation to discuss"
OOC: Coltra'd say this in a low voice to avoid any passersby overhearing, or use thieves cant if that wasn't possible.
In terms of story progression, rather than the others being kept out of a possible lengthy discussion while Coltra finds out what the order is willing to do (if anything) about the prisoners I think it would be better if Coltra's part is narrated by the DM for a little bit.

Dekket jumps down at Leo’s side and looks at the whip in the man’s hip.
”Yeah, but I will pass on your massage option thank you. “ he says putting the hood of the cape but looking around to memorize the layout for future references.
What should Dekket roll, if anything at all? Perception? Investigation? .
Leo looks down at Ranlin as he speaks to the older guard, when he finishes Leo looks at the guard and adds “oh yeah, he’s definitely innocent, I can vouch for him”
Lucian stays quiet and just rolls his eyes at his compatriots' attempts at bargaining their freedom. He takes in his surroundings, and memories of a similar situation arise. "As much as I try...," he mutters to himself stepping of the wagon. Glancing at the guard's whip at his side, he quips, "Hmm... Normally that kind of 'service' costs extra."
"What you think a little hazing is out of order," one replies with a smirk. "Phae knows how to pick them," he adds as the other man becomes quite nervous.
"The lump would kill you as much as look at you friend....I wouldn't say that in front of anyone else," he adds looking around nervously.
"We can't let you in," the other guard them says curtly. "You're meant to return with Phae and Tyburn or not at all I'm afraid," he adds. "She's probably here somewhere, here it whatever you can from," he then says looking around.
"Phae...she does like a good joke," the other adds looking around nervously too.
"I bet she's....well they're close by," he adds as the guard's eyes widen.
This seems to announce someone's behind Coltra.
"You were saying," comes Tyburn's gruff voice from behind.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
"Shut up," the older man growls. "You're here now and until it can be proven otherwise you'll rot here until you hang," the man adds next the man with the whip remaining silent still. "We've had enough of your kind through here to know none if you are worth anything to this city but hanging from a tree for the crows to feast on," he adds.
They both work together however to move the party into the single story building, once inside your manacles are all check then oddly enough a gnome comes out waving a magic wand over each of you before your manacles glow white hot for a moment then begin to give off a certain glow to Lucian one can assume it denotes magical abilities. Lucian, the gnome then sneers at you.
"Didn't know a healer would be caught dead with THIS lot," the gnome says looking at you hard. "Sune isn't best pleased by evil doers," he adds as your manacles remain glowing. "Whilst your in here my boy no magic will pass through your to be sure without personal harm that will come to you. Understand," the gnome says and waits for your acknowledgement. Lucian nods.
"Right the rest are just louts I assume Graves. No funny business," the older human man asks and the gnome nods.
"Only magic about them are those bloody cloaks but we know they just become smoke if we remove them and they'll have no effect in the cells. I don't want the trouble removing them. Do you," he adds next as the human grunts. "Good. I'll get their names and well move on," he adds.
Settling at a desk now built for some one twice his size the gnome still commands the guards respect it seems. There are three more guards in addition too the two the party was lead in by. They look in varying degrees of nasty, brutish, and armed with spears, clubs, and short swords a plenty. The jail gives you the sense most people know it's the end of the road...
Then... everyone perception check!!
OOC: Processing goes two ways. Give your actual names or deception checks to lie. I will never give DC, unless save related, before hand. If someone hits it I will say so, fair enough?
Dekket investigation check please.
Ranlin deception check or you just making a statement?
