"If fame and fortune are what you seek, this job offers plenty of it, I assure you," Elas agreed. "And besides, it keeps you close, assures us that we can trust you not to spill what you heard today with anyone else."
i got no interest in fame. the whole point of being a thief is to go unnoticed. but fortune on the other hand, Tell me the pay. and then ill decide if its worth more to tag along, or to sell the information on you three to some interested party's, and id just like to see you try and stop me if i do
i shake the hand. "the names Rendavir, at your service." that key he mentioned must be worth a lot. i might just have to steal it from this elf when the time comes.
"Meet me at the tavern tomorrow at dawn. And don't let anyone know anything I have told you tonight. Do you understand?" Elas shot a pointed glance toward Rendavir, who appeared to be scheming already.
The following morning, the adventurers waited outside of the tavern, warily eyeing a few goblins sleeping on crates outside. Elas seemed to emerge out of the shadows, beckoning for them to follow him into the nearby alleyway.
the war-forged and giant are waiting right next to the tavern, i wait across the street. my way of telling them that even though i'm doing this job, i have no intention of working with them. I'll wait for them to go into the tavern first.
Elas hands a map to Bjorn, a compass to Laz, and a sack of provisions to Rendavir.
"Our scouts have confirmed that the key is hidden deep within the mountain range. Its near coordinates are detailed on the map I've given to your goliath companion. And remember, you aren't the only ones looking for the key. I've taken necessary precautions to ensure our mission remains unknown, but the Copper Devil is unpredictable. And deadly."
Elas shot Rendavir a glare. "If you'd like to leave, be my guest. But we'll be keeping close tabs on you. It isn't simple to locate a heavily guarded magical relic."
" the first thing any of you have said that i agree with, your right war-forged. but you better watch your tone Elas. you're going to need my help to steal that key. and for the record you couldn't track me if you tried."
Elas looked as if he wished to retort, but restrain himself, taking in a deep breath through his upturned nose. "Yes, we're counting on you to discover more information as you travel, to help us put together the story of the key. And yes, human, we don't have anyone else up for the task. But rest assured, we can replace you."

You seem to be the type interested in fame. There is a least one entire town terrified of this 'Copper Devil'.

"We will be providing ten thousand gold pieces, but anything you find on your quest for the Chamber other than the key is yours."
"twelve thousand and you got a deal."
"I suppose you've got a deal." Elas sighed, but held out a hand for you to shake.

Well I suppose that makes a party of three for this adventure. Shall we set out now?
"yeah yeah, whatever you say boss." (said with a more than suspicious smirk)

"near coordinates? take it from a master thief, it's not smart to do a job where your information is questionable"
Elas shot Rendavir a glare. "If you'd like to leave, be my guest. But we'll be keeping close tabs on you. It isn't simple to locate a heavily guarded magical relic."
Since the information is questionable, it will be best to gather more on the trip.
