the dwarf looks at cat, quickly adjusting his composture "ahem! i- oh? you want just the wine? normally people want payment in money." he scratches his beard for a few moments "well i don't see why not! also, i should introduce myself- my name is Ragan, i am a traveling liquor merchant! i'm staying in this city just for a few weeks. . . it's good that you showed up, or else i would need to spend a lot of money to repair it. .." he says in an annoyed tone. he seems like the greedy type. . . "well let's start then! once it's fixed you can take as much as you like! just, uhm, don't take it all please."
Cathern moves to the broken wheel and starts using a trick that Idoza taught her. She puts the parts of the wheel together and starts weaving arcane energy mending the breaks in the wheel.
the wheel is easily repaired, with the dwarf looking at you a bit dumbfolded "wow! so fast!" he quickly went towards the carriage, inspecting the now fixed wheel "thanks a lot! now i will be able to resume my trading." he gently caresses the wood on the sides, smiling "what is your name, if i may ask?"
After Cat gets her answers, Drux asks the dwarf, “What type of trading do you do? We’ll be needing some supplies and recommendations to some craftsmen if that is your type of business.”
Piers extends his hand for a handshake"Pleasure to meet you sir Ragan!I have a proposal for you..a business one if I may.You seem well travelled and you know your ways ..what if you were supplying us with wine or even becoming the middleman ?"
Ragan nods "it would be a pleasure!" he says, quickly hopping to the carriage "oh, i mostly trade drinks and beverages for all kinds. ranging from the simplest Ale, to some Liquor for some "Unique" clients that i would suggest you don't drink unless your insides are resistant do acid." he gives a small chuckle, but then returned to a serious tone "i'm not joking, please don't touch the ones with Black labels."
Lore looks at the contents, there is really a wide array of bottles. Ale, Wine, Rum. . .and the bottles with the black labels, some bubbling, and one that lore could have sworn he saw something moving inside
"an ongoing supply? hmm. . . you've saved me time and money. if you like, i could estabilish a formal contract of continuous wine supply. yea, i accept." he said, smiling as he shaked pier's hand
after a few minutes, you all reach Trollskull Alley. it's aready morning, with a few kids running around the roads, while other merchants open their shops.
Piers is quite satisfied with their recent agreement between them and Ragan .He is thinking how much easier life would be if everybody were working together for the greater good.He yawns as he feels knackered "I had to admit I really want now to rest my eyes. Any unfinished business? "
“I think I’ll just go in and crash. You can have some of my portions if you want. An extra bed roll I don’t have though, sorry.” Drux says with a long yawn.
Lore nods, happy to take over in any negotiations with Ragan, if they happen. With luck Cat's actions will give him some advantage in any deal they make.
Once inside he lingers with Cat, wondering how their patron ghost will react to their news.
(earlier) Cat turns to Ragan "What kind of contract? We're in the process of restoring Troll skull Manor at the moment. It's a priority before we can be open for business'. But I think we need to get some sort of permit to operate an Inn here also. Any advice?" she tilts her head listening expectantly.
( he is willing to freely give 5 bottles of wine and up to 4 other drinks of your choice. the ones with the black labels are out of the question, obviously )
(let's focus with the "before" first, so things won't be too confusing) pretty simple. here's how it works: i supply you with any kind of beverages you request. i shall give you a free sample for today, in thanks for my carriage, but at the start of each month i shall give you a full supply of beverages. in return, i ask for. . . 20% of your montly profits." he says, waiting for an answer
Lore turns his head to one side, smiling. "Just in the interest of clarity, and because such relationships often suffer without such clarity: I assume you mean profits on the sale of the drink that you supply, correct? We may well have diverse and varied business unrelated to the bar, you see. If so, that sounds like a fair deal to me."
Lore frowns for a time, trying to understand the proposal. Eventually he smiles, "So...we act as your agents...selling your product. Is that the plan."
He draws a deep breath, "Each month you drop off supplies; we pay nothing for those supplies, but at the next delivery we pay for what we have sold from the previous deliveries, plus 20% of our profits on those sales?"
Looking around at his companions, he shrugs. "It's an interesting sort of deal, I've never heard of it's like before. But it sounds workable."
"Ragan, if this is what Lore says. It may be workable, if you're the manager and you pay the wait staff, cook and bartender out of that twenty percent"She gives him, a sly smile "Course Lif will have to approve. You see we're going to call the place "Spirit on Tap" Lif is our feature bartender."
(The name is not original, I just like how it fits)
"well you can say it like that! indeed. well. . . i'm going to give the first supplies for free, of course. can't get payment that does not exist. and indeed!" he looks at cat, scratching his beard "well. . . if you wish, we can negotiate the price, of course. i'm a free mind! also the name is interesting. spirit on tap. . . i'm sure that the wine here would be. . .to die for! BWAHAHAHA got it?" he said, laughing

"Cathern Lightheart." She curtseys "If you would, could you give us a ride to Trollskull? So we can drop off the wine, ale and liquor there?"
"Oh and these are my friends Piers, Kess, Drux and Lore."

Drux nods a thanks to the dwarf.
”A pleasure sir.”
After Cat gets her answers, Drux asks the dwarf, “What type of trading do you do? We’ll be needing some supplies and recommendations to some craftsmen if that is your type of business.”
"... And perhaps an ongoing supply of wine." Lore adds as he runs his eyes over the contents of the cart.
"We are opening an inn, you see." He finishes with a slight flourish and a smile.
Piers extends his hand for a handshake"Pleasure to meet you sir Ragan!I have a proposal for you..a business one if I may.You seem well travelled and you know your ways ..what if you were supplying us with wine or even becoming the middleman ?"

Cat thinks for a second "Lets move the spirits inside. Then, I need to pick up a bedroll. Maybe some food."

"Just remember the wine and spirits are for business, not our consumption" she starts moving the bottles ands things inside
"Hey Lif! We're home, we brought the wine to sell." She says, after unlocking the door and walking in.

“Maybe he can get us all the permits we need, and we can be a store front or a base of operations for him here. A plan that could benefit everyone.”
(How much wine and other alcoholic drinks do we get? btw)
