"Captain! Are you all right?" Beaivi inquires at the fatally wounded. Worried, he approaches the captain with large eyes. "No quarter," he stammers and looks around, with his gaze finally resting on a reaver downed by Bruno. With a deep breath he charges towards the fallen reaver's side and attacks with two daggers putting his weight into the thrusts.
[Main hand attack (adv): 24, damage: 7 piercing + 2 bludgeoning (Genie's Wrath); Off hand attack (adv): 12, damage: 4 piercing]
The elephantine reaver goes down as Khilos stabs him in the ribs with his dagger. Another reaver appears near Khilos. It has a contraption which looks like a fishbowl containing a floating brain for a head.
Another shiny-skinned reaver appears near Beaivi.
Loose rigging careens across the deck of the forecastle. Xarlax, we need an acrobatics check from you before you take your turn.
Danirith looks around uncertainly at the carnage unfolding around her. She's pretty sure the most Good thing to do here would be to ask that the enemies surrender, but it seems unlikely to do anything besides put a target on herself at this point. Plus the captain did say "No quarter," and it's important to respect authority...
Seeing the brain-jar reaver coming for Khilos, Dani decides that defending an ally is definitely, probably the Good choice. With a heavy flap of fiendish wings, she lifts herself 15 feet up in the air, hovers, and points the tip of her staff at the brain-jar, taking aim before firing a glittering beam of light, pale blue and faint gold.
(Eldritch blast, 7 to hit, 8 force damage in the unlikely event that succeeds!)
Xarlax hits one of the reavers square in the chest taking them down.
Not wanting to do too much harm, Danirith's Eldritch blast goes wide of its mark and hits the deck right beside the brain-jar reaver.
Two more bandits appear on the forecastle: a dwarf with a smoldering beard smelling of ale, and a cyborg with a serrated iron jaw and mechanical arm ending in oversized pincer.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Flash sees the two new arrivals and his opportunity to deal with them. He takes a zig zagging run to the bow and blows a kiss as he casts Thunderwave to try to knock and cyborg off the ship
DC 14 con save, 8 thunder damage and pushed 10 feet
"Ack!" The dwarf's normally deep and gruff voice jumps up an octave as the reavers pile onto the deck of the ship. Ivor gulps audibly, pulling out an engraved shield and hammer off his back. "No quarter... Can't we just talk it out, maybe over some tea?" Seeing his companions jump into battle so readily, he shakes his head at his nonsensical comment."Come on, Ivor. For Tydar." He stands around for a few seconds, nervously hopping from one leg to the other.
"For Moon," he whispers, and rushes towards the shiny-skinned reaver clumsily, chestnut brown hair whipping back. He swings it around as he reaches them and---hopefully---brings it crashing down on the reaver. Whipping around, he raises his shield high, yelling, "Khilos! Uhm, here---here you go!" The two entwined rings engraved on the shield glow with divine light, and the light launches itself at his companion.
(ooc: Move to target, Attack with Warhammer (18 to hit, 7 Bludgeoning damage), Casts Sanctuary on Khilos as a bonus action
I might be doing it wrong, this is my first time running a combat encounter like this.)
(edit: Deleted proficiency bonus on the damage portion of the attack roll because that's not how it works. Whoops.)
The cyborg is easily pushed off the side of the ship by Flash's Thunderwave spell. The second shiny reaver takes a big hit from Ivor as Khilos is warded by Ivor's holy light.
The bandits attack:
The first shiny one goes after Bas while holding back the blood from its near fatal wound but misses.
The fishbowl brain attacks Khilos but at the last second decides to turn their attack to Beaivi instead, doing 3hp damage to him.
The second shiny bandit attacks Ivor but misses.
The inebriated dwarf with the smoldering beard goes after Xarlax but misses, also.
Bruno the mastiff mascot goes after the first shiny reaver, but the pirate is able to dodge the attack.
The bodies of four reavers lay on the deck of the forecastle. Two reavers are still in fighting condition while the two shiny ones are severely wounded.
Gyronimus coughs out sparks and takes in the rest of the battle. He grunts and will rush over to Beaivi's aid, swinging his longsword down in a flashing arch.
"Give them blood and vinegar, Master Warlock!" he roars.
Gyronimus' sword comes down on the fishbowl, smashing it with a loud crash. The brain falls out and flops on the deck as the rest of the reaver's body goes limp.
Another pirate with gills and scales and sharp little teeth jumps up onto the forecastle near Gyronimus.
Zintheris, your turn, followed by Khilos then Beaivi.
Khilos ran over to the shiny bandit that was attacking Ivor, "Thanks for the asssssssisst, my turn!" he hissed as he lunged at the bandit, first with his rapier, then with his dagger.
OOC: Got a 16 on the rapier attack for a total of 7 plus 5 sneak attack damage. Missed on the dagger attack I presume.
The shiny pirate on Ivor falls to the blade of Khilos as more loose rigging sweeps across the deck. Ivor and Khilos, give us an acrobatics check.
Meanwhile, Beaivi swings wide and misses the fishy reaver with his first strike. His second attack hits, taking down the pirate, who is quickly replaced by another scaly reaver with glowing pink eyes.
Khilos heard a familiar sound, having worked on ships for most of his life, and turns to see the rigging sweeping across the deck. He quickly reacts and attempts to avoid it!
"AAAAAH!" Ivor screams bloody murder as the shiny reaver tries to attack him, and he curls up into a ball on the floor. Over the commotion he yells, "I'm not prepared for this!" His dwarvish accent---though normally well-concealed---comes out heavy in this moment of pure terror. He barely even notices his companion snake up and take down the attacking reaver until its over. He only manages a shaky "...Thanks," in Khilos' direction before the rigging careens across the deck.

Danirith, your next after Xarlax.
Xarlax nods at his fellow dragonborn, “We’ll take care of them!”
Quickly grabbing an arrow from his quiver and assessing the situation, he aims at one of the more wounded invaders and fires his arrow
(22 to hit 6 damage)

Bas, it's your turn with Gyronimus on deck.

Zintheris, your turn, followed by Khilos then Beaivi.
Zintheris takes aim at the fish looking pirate and fires an arrow off.
The fish-looking reaver takes an arrow to the chest and is severely wounded but is still standing.
