Thurodim glares down at the shattered and charred blades, again roaring his anger over them attacking Mala, stomping his big green foot into the floor, then brreathing hevaily for a few moments. "You okay Mala? Too much strange things here."He grumbles and turns. "This is just some kitchen floor, we should head on."
"Fine," Mala says quickly, still a bit surprised by the knives flying at her. "Thanks Thurodim. And..." She turns to Faera with a greatful smile. "Thank you as well. Amazing work with your sword there."
Ghurr wears boots, and he now inspects the bottoms of them to see if anything happened because of the red stain. He also gives in to curiosity and once he has his rope and grappling hook once again stowed, he tosses the now broken lintel onto the red stain to see what happens.
You discover that the outer layer of the leather is gone, eaten, melted or burned away. Tossing the lintel in, it sits for a second before slowly sinking. The stain closes over it like thick molasses, and it is gone. Once again the floor simply looks like wine-stained tiles.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Corrosive wine stains and knives that fly on their own. Can't wait to see what the tower offers next," Mala says sarcastically. "You're going to need new boots there Ghurr!"
She then slowly peers back into the room where the knives attacked her. Slowly she looks for any signs of more attacking utensils. (Perception: 21)
Further around the corner, past the fireplace, you find an empty washbasin, plates and dishes, cups, glasses, cutlery. It all seems still. You watch them carefully but they seem ordinary, and nothing moves to attack you.
He stood aware of the door they came from, half expecting it close forever. Maybe I should look for a sword that can open portals. The he looked at the blade of warning. Maybe not a sword. It would draw too much attention if he were to carry two of the same weapon, specially from bandits. Last thing he wanted was to call bandits upon their group. His thoughts were interrupted by some sort of commotion in one of the deeper areas of the tower. At least deeper in comparison to where the elf stood.
Ilithir walked towards the party in time to see that everything was truly and completely solved. When Ghurr showed his boots the spellcaster thought if it was not something he could help with.
“Sorry, Ghuur, the spell I used to clean can’t really mend this kind of damage.” The silver haired man admitted while looking at the others. “If someone needs some healing just tell me.”
Ilithir nodded when Mala mentioned the strange things on the place. The most bizarre thing to him was still the portrait at the entrance. Someone actually paid a painter for that, and likely posed for it. He knew self-esteem was important, but that was too much.
“Something new, Faera?” He asked following the others.
"Maybe your magic can clean me up a bit?"The massive half-orc says to Ilithir, pointing to the green goo still stuck in his black beard, although he looks a bit messy all over.
She then quickly heads over to the fireplace and checks it out.
Investigation 23
The fireplace is large, enough space beneath for a big, two-handed metal pot to sit on struts over a pile of old ashes. A real fire once burned here, unlike the magical one in the entrance hall. The rod for a long spit hangs to one side, along with a poker and other equipment for the fire, as well as long stirring sticks, spoons and ladles.
A thought occurs to you - there were no visible chimneys on the outside of the building, so where did the smoke from the fire go? Then again, the entrance hall had large stained glass windows which definitely weren't visible from the outside either. Although the internal dimensions of the tower do appear to match the external, there's clearly something magical going on with the very structure of the building.
Ghurr looks at the other archways that were interspersed between the very unfriendly rooms of this chamber.
"Do you think these archways go to same places as other archways when we first entered tower?" Ghurr asks the others. "Or somewhere different. Every archway lead to more archways?"
He starts counting on his fingers but he finds he runs out of those too quickly and stops, just shaking his head.
(Thurodim did actually... I'll adjust the wording but the idea was to go back to the start and try another option.)
(Got it, sorry, I misunderstood, thought you were testing it.)
Following Mala back through the archway, you return to the entrance hall. Where to next? Your options, written in Elvish, are once again 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, R, and P.

Ghurr looks at the red stain for a few moments.
"Ghurr wonder where you go when go down there," he muses to himself before leaving the room.
He looks around for the others.
"Don't step on the red stain. No good." Ghurr says and lifts up his feet to show his damaged boots.

Mala heads back out, not wanting to delve any deeper and perhaps have a swarm of cups after her next.
"I think we've looked at this floor. Shall we try for another?"

Thurodim grunts and nods, ready to move on.
Faera spins one of her blades as Mala thanks her and gives her a smile, "Glad you're ok."
Looking down to Ghurr's feet, she sucks in a breath through her teeth, "Glad that wasn't your feet Ghurr, ouch."
She then quickly heads over to the fireplace and checks it out.

Mala says, "Yes, let's try another floor," basically answering her own question. "Maybe go back to the start and then go to a new floor."
She makes her way to the center of the room then walks toward the archway they had come through initially.
