Pulling the white lever you find out that it only has 2 positions: all the way forward, or all the way back. As you're standing by the boxes, Etrigan you can see that by the black handle there is a row of murky looking gems: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. Pushed forward the hand is lined up with the purple gem.
Daj watches as the others manipulate the levers in the middle of the room. In particular, he keeps an eye on the spinning walls and the light to see what changes, if any occur while the levers are being pulled. (Investigation: 15).

(DC 15+):
You notice that there is a series of gems above the doorway as well, in the same order as they appear on the control box, and it dawns on you that this must be some sort of control mechanism to control the room within the Spire like an elevator of sorts. You can surmise that everything in the room was put there on purpose.
For everyone else, it's hard to say exactly what is supposed to happen here, but maybe it's time to recheck everything in the room and try something!
Are the gems over the door in the same order as the ones by the lever??
"Those gems, they appear over the door as well. There must be a connection."Daj looks closer to try and determine how they may connect to each other."I would say that there is either an order to reopen the door, or there is a separate corridor for each of the gems, headed in different directions."
You all watch Rohesia try to open the door to no avail. To some of you this gets you thinking again that there must be something missing from this all. Perhaps another look around the room will help.(review the description of the room from earlier)Daj, the gems are indeed in the same order, in fact right now the two purple gems lit up when the lever was pushed over to that color and the then the doorway moved to that color.
"What to make of this?" Etrigan mutters, glaring at the different objects of the round chamber. "A circular pool of water with two levers, one of which has six coloured gems along it, a door with the same set of gems above it, these boxes, and finally mirrors reflecting some kind of moonlight into a shaft forming a circle over there."He says, looking at the wall opposite the door. "With the walls rotating around us I would assume we can somehow get access to another part of this place by operating these things correctly."He says, wandering the chamber, seemingly lost in thoughts over how to proceed.
“Yep that about sums it up.” Athyra says after Daj and Etrigan speak. Then she walks over to investigate the water and the boxes. She will also try moving one of the boxes.
Nothing happens with the boxes, they are stuck in the water. However, after some more musing you start wonder if the light theme from the inscription over the hallway earlier is still at play here....
It sure seems really odd that there is a bright beam of moonlight in here when it was pure daylight just a while earlier and nowhere near night time...
Daj looks around the room again for something else that may be of use. The mirrors hanging overhead catch his attention. It really is an interesting way to light the room. “I wonder if we need to do something with that?” He say as he points it out to the others again.
"That's what I was thinking," Athyra says to Daj, "I just assumed at least one of these leavers would move them, which would move the light... Etrigan, why don't you fly up there and take a look at them?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Etrigan shrugs, not having any better ideas of his own, unfolding his bat-like wings, beating them a couple of times to ascend towards the mirrors, trying to not come into the light they project.
Investigation: 12 Another roll if Zasz can assist: 19
Flying up around the mirrors you notice that they are all mounted in such a way so that they can be tilted about, apparently affecting the direction the moonlight shines down below.

There is nothing else unusual about the boxes. There is one other element in the room besides the boxes with the levers, and the doorway.

Etrigan scratches his bald head, making absolutely no sense of what he has seen.

Flying up around the mirrors you notice that they are all mounted in such a way so that they can be tilted about, apparently affecting the direction the moonlight shines down below.
Hovering by the mirrors Etrigan tries to determine if they can be moved mechanically or if he simply can move them manually.
