(Daj take 5 points of necrotic damage, everyone else take 10 points of necrotic damage, unless you are resistant or immune of course)
The beam is sickly, nauseating, but the end of the hall is not that far away, a mere 60 feet from where you stand now. By now you can tell this strange purplish beam of negative energy appears to be coming from a rune near the door. However, with torches that won't last forever and the way behind you blocked, figuring out a way to the door gets more imperative with every passing minute.
Rohesia will press for the door, running even, trying to escape the awful nauseating feeling. She no longer keeps her eyes on the peripheral shadows, hoping they will just leave the group alone long enough to get out of this strange beam. Once she reaches the door, she will try and open it.
As you start towards the door, it quickly becomes apparent to you that the nauseating feeling gets worse...and worse...and worse....your body starts to shut down the more you press towards the door...
To be more specific, the pain gets significantly worse every 10 feet you move towards the door (and you will need to make another CON saving throw every 10 feet). But on the upside, that rune from which the beam seems to be emanating gets a bit easier to see as you get closer too...
Having resolved to charge for the door, the increasing nauseating feeling soon causes Rohesia to pause. She tries to retreat before she is completely overcome. (I will presume she made it the 10' in, so CON Save: 27)

The necrotic wave engulfs you more even as you try to steel yourself against it, taking another 8 points of necrotic damage!
"How devious."Etrigan mutters and steps back out of reach of the strange purplish beam before turning the black rod with purple veins against the rune, unleashing two beams of purple crackling force against it, hoping to disrupt the necrotic magic emanating from it.
"Are you sure this is going to work? I mean I could use Helm's Light (Guiding Bolt), but I don't know if you are trying to damage the rune or simply move it." Still, Daj begins to mutter a prayer to Helm as the other's try to attack the rune. "What were we doing when this started? Something must have triggered it."Daj casts his eyes over the section of the tunnel where he had been walkingt to see if there had been a switch of some type. (Investigation: 15)
The blasts and shots continue to miss their mark, the strange rune continually shedding it's beam over the area. Daj you look around but cannot see anything of note, and can only surmise this is a proximity tripped trap.
Rohesia continues moving back in the tunnel, more than willing to get as far away as necessary to get out of the sickening beam. "Maybe the words on the arch offer a clue to stopping what's happening?" She repeats again what it said, "Those that fear truth's light shall be smote by it. Is that the light we're being smote with?"
Athyra will retreat so she gets out of the beam. She can't take much more of that. "Maybe, but it would be nice to know what truth we are being smote for... Any ideas?"

As Athyra lights her torch, the shadow bow disappears. “Wow! Wasn’t expecting that!” Then she continues down the hallway.

”What was that?” Daj utters in surprise, feeling a need to dodge, but having nowhere to go. The sensation was far from pleasant
(No crits on saving throws and ability checks)

Athyra will chase after Rohesia. If the barbarian cannot open the door, Athrya will try to help.

(OOC: In other words if you'd like to rescind those actions you may.)
(Would it be possible to simply blast the rune from where Etrigan is standing?)

Your blasts scream down the hall and blast wide of the rune which continues to emit its sickening ray. Perhaps if you got a bit closer...
"Hrmpf." Etrigan tries to better his aim, trying one more shot from the same distance, right outside of the reach of the strange purplish beam.

Athyra grimaces, then stops where she is. Pulling out her bow, she tries to shoot it from her closer position. Con save: 6
