Gilded inspects the armor and some of the metal seems to be made of the similar manor of Gwen's refined armor. Though it's size is much too large for anyone in the party to effectively wear. As he investigates he realizes perhaps the metal could be taken to an armorer to make plate armor. Though he also hears Jess bring up the armors have had residual magic upon them. Vex had failed to close the door and the undead were close but right before a single one could crawl in. Drezmir had closed it with lightning fast strength and speed (nat 20) stopping them just in time as they banged and clanged on the door. Gilded and Drezmir can see dents and scratches on the armor.. Maybe it had been used in battle? It's knuckle's had been worn the most. Drezmir tries to study the arcana behind this and thinking of the knowledge Jess has presented him it hits him. These could be living armors! Yet in a dormant state. To Corvus however they seem nothing more than strange and unnecessary markings. Vex isn't able to investigate or perceive very well. Though he does understand the magic behind a living armor and that it was a real possibility that's what they were.
OOC/Extra Did Gilded cast detect good and evil as a ritual for extra ten minute casting time? He does not sense any of the creatures listed in the spell of detect good and evil.
Jess can detect two sources of magic schools from the green rune.
One was conjuration the other however.. Was a little difficult to make out. (Roll Arcana for this)
Drezmir nods as he looks at the armor, "I thought so..." He looks up, "I believe these were once animated suits of armor. I wonder why they are dormant now."He walks past the armor and to the door where Jess is standing and waits for her to give the okay for moving forward.
The second magic Jess detects is.. Necromancy it looks to be somewhat similar to the residual magic on the armor's. It seems the green Rune is attached to the armor's in some way. And Jess can see a magical code on the door. Perhaps she could fiddle with the code and maybe get the door open without setting off the armor's? However she see's even more complex code but if she could figure it out maybe she could even control the armors for a bit.. But it'd be riskier to set off any trap attempting that.
OOC Any attempt of decoding the door (Unlocking or controlling armors. Would be an Arcana check right now only Jess can attempt it unless she explains what she has learned to the others)
Jess intakes a sharp breath as realization hits her. She warns the group,
“There is dark magic here! I’m afraid if we do the wrong thing at this door then the armor will attack us. I will try to open the door without setting off the armor. But stand ready.”
It is Jess’s intent to get the door open as easily as possible and move on, she doesn’t want to mess with the more complex code.
Corvus unlike Jess isn't aware of a code or the school's of magic at work here (with his roll of 18 Arcana) he slowly begins to read the runes. He understands they are connected to the armor's and is learning more of the rune's nature. He picks of some parts and pieces of the school of Conjuration from the runes. Unaware of the second school involved as he slowly see's inklings of the first code. (He can roll again to understand more, he can keep doing so till he fails a check. If Jess doesn't roll to meddle with the code first though)
OOC Okay so roll Arcana to deal with the simpler code of just opening the door (Easier DC)
“Something doesn’t add up. Maybe Simon is unaware of these mysterious living armour sets and the zombies, or he is stronger than he is seen to be. What else could be going on!?” Vex has been taking a mental note of a lot of things, and is trying to piece together what could be going on. Investigation for that: 13
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Gilded thinks you should try to get the armor under your control. "If it does attack us, it is one against 8, I think the risk is worth the reward to try and animate this thing."

"I have a feeling that Simon knows exactly where these are," Drez says to Vex. He then turns his attention to the runes on the door, wondering if he can find the codes that Jess was talking about...
Arcana: 14
"If we can use these things though...it might make this easier," he mutters.
(Since Todd asked I'll say Jess started counting the armor's) Jess is able to count seven of these suits of armor. Corvus who had rather figure things out himself than ask Jess for her info looked to the door and though he seemed to be putting pieces together.. It suddenly seemed out of his reach. Whatever code beyond that seemed little more than chicken scratch to his eyes. Vex begins to investigate the room. Living armors, how did Simon do such a thing? The armor appeared.. Similar to Gwen's even bearing the crest of Glazing Wind (An autumn leaf) how was that? Or rather why was that? Jess had told him there was dark magic. Had she meant necromancy? Yet living armor's were Conjuration they were constructs.. Unless what powered these suits were.. Souls. Jess had begun to undo the code after understanding what she had and avoiding the complex code to control these things she was able to avoid setting off any alarms. The suit's heads had turned to the group but instead offered a bow not attacking at the group. They weren't being controlled by Jess but they weren't hostile either. As Drez investigates the codes they seem to vanish from the air! Whatever they were? Jess had cracked them masterfully! The green runes disappear as the door began to open!
The next room is a mostly empty room with green lights and stone marble. There is only one table with two large tomes upon them however that is not the most eye catching aspect of this room. That would be the pack of Dire Wolves! Two were sleeping in front of the staircase leading out of this Cellar. Two more in the center of the room. And one in the upper right corner and another in the opposing corner all asleep. (Six Dire Wolves) Jess had opened the door well enough that it hadn't made any noises to awaken any Wolves.
OOC For Sloden I'd say Arcana as the magic was more hidden than the Conjuration aspect of it.
Anyone who walks in the room will have to make a stealth check to not wake them up.
The two at the staircase are 60 feet away.
The two in the center are 30 feet away.
One's in the corners are both 80 feet away. This is all from the "Entrance" of this room
Gilded is loud in his splint mail, so he stays outside the door and pulls a javelin out of his quiver and prepares to throw it when the group is ready.

"Hmmm." Corvus approaches the door and examines the runes on it to try to figure out the code.

arcana 9 + 5 using my inspiration d8, so 14 total
Would Sloden recognize necromancy in spite of no arcana proficiency?

Kocino will stand next to Jess and ritual cast Unseen Servant while she casts Detect Magic.
Gilded thinks you should try to get the armor under your control. "If it does attack us, it is one against 8, I think the risk is worth the reward to try and animate this thing."
Original description said suits of armor. Actually it’s a good question, how many suits of armor are there?
Corvus continues to stare at the door, concentrating on piecing together these interesting runes.
Arcana:2 (Well so much for that...)
