The bird is able to point at Sloden before making a "play dead" motion.
"Person dead, Paladin warn."
It is able to say in a broken manner toward Corvus.
Jess had told the group everything was of secondary concern, though before the vote had never been decided which way they'd go. Though perhaps after the fight with the wolves they'd be willing too comply with Jess's plan. Only time would tell what lays ahead for this group. The group was rested and the staircase leading up to a doorway of this cellar never seemed more appealing. To be away from these depressing corpses and maybe head onto a new start for this town.
OOC The group had rested for about twenty minutes before the noise had started. So the noise was heavy for about an half hour but for the last ten minutes it's starting to grow weaker/quieter.
Corvus knows Germuid has old programs of Death Clerics and Oathbreakers fighting but.. To be actually dead? With no pulse? Corvus have heard bits and pieces of those who come back. "Reborn" but isn't exactly sure how true that could be. Myth? Legend? Or facts?
Looking at his pan, “Your voice sounds so familiar. Are you the one…” His thoughts trail off.
Kocino looks to Corvus, “It’s my favorite pan. I don’t remember where I got it. Once I had it, every dish I made tasted just a little bit better when I used it.”
As Gilded tells Sloden that he will tell the others if he does not share himself Sloden takes his pack out to offer Gilded his healing potion. Looking to the rest of the group he offers a solemn bow. His secret discovered a Reborn could not safely hang with the living. Perhaps he'd return to Germuid to learn more of his origins. Thanking the party for the time spent Sloden had left on his way. The pan began to respond to Kocino.
"It is I! You're pactmaker my dear lad! It has been some time sense I was able to reach you! Learning to wield the magic I've granted thee?"
OOC It's only a short rest so no spell slots restored sadly.
As Sloden rises to leave, Gilded takes the potion of healing from him and puts it in his pack. "Fare thee well warrior."
Once Sloden has went back the way he had come, Gilded looks at the rest of the group. "He was an undead." He states very matter of factly, he waits for that to sink in and adds. "He had an air of evil upon him that I detected just before the wolves attacked us. He did not act evil, or as far as I know, ever do anything wrong to us, but I told him he had to tell you or I would. I guess he figured he would leave instead of facing up to whatever he did to get where he is."
It would appear that we are needed up those stairs, if everyone is ready, lets join the fight. He starts to the stairs. "I'll lead us up, you guys be ready." As Jess says "Lead us true", he feels a confidence fill his steps. "Thank you Jess, I will do my best."
Drezmir watches Sloden leave with an air of sadness, but he does not object to his departure. Everyone has their own destinies to follow, he would not get in his way. He listens solemnly as Gilded explains the situation, nodding in understanding. Undead? Evil? He did not believe the two went hand in hand. Sloden may be unnatural but...so was he.
"May your god watch over you, and may you find whatever it is you seek," he whispers as the cleric leaves the room. Perhaps his voice would carry, perhaps it would not.
Turning, he moves to follow Gilded up the stairs, ready for whatever they might face at the top. "Indeed my friend," he says. "Let's hope the winning side is on our side...or at least not on Simon's side." He laughs, pushing away his questions from before. Whatever the fox was trying to do to him, it wouldn't succeed. No one had commented on his...whatever had happened, so perhaps it really had all been a dream after all. He lets out a breath. Good, if that had been real... No, he'd deal with that later.
As they move up the stairs, he pulls out his dagger. It would be better then his sword for close combat inside the halls of the manor--faster too, which was just what he needed.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Corvus watches Sloden leave. Pity, he would have liked to study him more. Ah well, this group has enough interesting members as it is.
He looks back at Kocino and simply states, "Interesting." Before following Gilded, Drezmir, and Jess up the stairs. Once again, he will send his pseudodragon ahead to scout out the area.
The pan gave a rather light chuckle to Kocino's eagerness. A strange attitude for a "cursed weapon" the dragon is rather stealthy and perceptive however? It wasn't strong enough to open the heavy door before it. It would need Gilded to open the Cellar door as it pushed it's small body against the door frame.
Gilded sees the little dragon thing struggling with the door. He walks up and Chuckles. "let me help you with that." Gilded pulls the door open and lets the little dragon run through.
The little dragon gives a happy nod to Gilded before entering the door ahead stealthy and perceptive as could be. It was a small room it found with nothing of value, no traps however and no guards at least. Though it did find a piece of paper on the ground it was titled "For the heroes" in the envelope was a map of the place? Of course it didn't say which room was what but simple schematics it seemed.
Drezmir looks over at the map, eyes lighting up when he sees the message, "So they were allies..."he looks around (off in whatever direction it sounded like the noise went), "I hope they are alright." He turns back to the map, a look of resolve crossing his face, "We can't waste the distraction that Gwen, or whoever else that could have been, has given us. We should try and avoid coming into contact with their fight, and trust that they can handle it." In spite of his words, his gaze drifts back to whatever hallway the noise was coming from (if he can discern that) as he says this. Someone was on the losing end of the battle, and even though this map found their hands, that doesn't mean that their allies had the upper hand.
It sounded like the combat was coming from below now. Perhaps it was the second floor? Which way would the party head to? Would they head west? Or south? The room only had two ways that lead out.
OOC If you have any questions about the map let me know. I know it wasn't super well made so yeah I understand if something is confusing on it
Vex is already questioning to himself where in Fractum that map came from, and who put it there. Why did it mention them specifically on the front? Did someone expect them? If so, were they good or were they evil? What is going on with the place? He still hasn’t forgotten about the runes and wondered why they were there, did someone put them there, then who?
I roll investigation to see at least the basics on these questions. Investigation: 16

(Ok then Corvus uses 2 hit dice to heal for 12)
Corvus raises an eyebrow at the pseudodragon sitting on his shoulder. He does not fully understand what it is saying, how could Sloden be dead?
(OOC: Sloden is from Gurmuid right? Would Corvus know anything about whatever he is? If so, history check 13)

To his pan, “Yes. I’ve been working on my blade work as well. I can finally cook again.”
Kocino looks up just in time to see Sloden bow and leave the group. He grabs his scimitar from the ground and looks to the group.
”We should go. Before anyone upstairs has time to ready themselves for another fight.”
Gilded recovers for 2d10+4 for 11 hp.

Gilded is leading (with the pseudo dragon) so he will go west into room 1.
(OOC: How do you insert image? I have tried the link in top right corner.. cant seem to get it to work.)
