(@Xerim, Word of Radiance states "creature that you can see", that is sadly not the case in this moment, but since this is only smoke, it can be blown away by wind. Give me a Constitution roll to see if you, as a dragonborn can blow away enough smoke to at least see the enemy a tiny bit ^^. Then I'd let the Word of Radiance pass :) )

Ashton can't see anything, but swings his sword, believing in his luck ... and his blade finds the elf again!

After his attack, Ashton remembers where the window was closet to him(#4) and starts to stumble that way stepping over the bloody body.

(OOC: use movement to get to the window if I can.  You want some kind of wisdom check to see if I remember?  Perception?)

 I call out in the smoke, "I can Spare any of them. Just don't do killing blows."

Carina is puzzled at being asked to do what she is already doing.  "I already suggested attacking non-lethally."  (post 193)

"The first one I took down is unconscious but not dead.  There was no killing blow.  All my attacks have been non-lethal so far."

(Here's Carina's second attack, which she missed, but so you can see it was also specified as non-lethal:  post 197)

(You can specify any melee attack to be non-lethal, seeking to knock unconscious.  But not ranged attacks or spells, I think.)

@Ashton, you just darted into this fight and you saw the flipped over counter as you walked around it to hit the elf the first time, also you came from the door and I just assume that Ashton would touch and find the counter and simply walks the other way, so no roll needed.

@Carina, yes, knock outs are only possible with melee attacks and you can even decide to go non-lethal after you know the damage you deal. However I would allow melee spells here.)

Xerim uses his dragonborn lungs to blow strong enough to get just a glimpse of the elf, kneeling before him. However, a moment later Pandora sees the smoke glowing a bit red as the Word of Radiance burns into the eyes and the flesh of the elf before Xerim.

The elf shouts: "ARGH!! Noo! Stop! I surrender!!"

It is the same one that originally dropped his scimitar at Ashtons intimidation as you all entered the place.

(Elmira and Pandora haven't taken their turns yet, right?)

Elmira readies an action to shoot a runner if she sees one.

(Attack: 19, Damage: 7, trigger: Enemy elf emerges from the cloud where Elmira can see.)

(OCC: I think there is no elf left for Pandora. )

Pandora moves to the window next to her (C9) and opens it. She hopes the smoke will go away. 

As Pandora opens the window the cold air and the storm from the outside is breaking its way into the cabin immediately. A bit of the smoke is blown away by that and the area, that is covered in thick black smoke is getting smaller. Behind the barrel she can now see the elf, emerging from the smoke. He has burned skin from the radiation of Xerim and is not yet aware, that Pandora can see him. However, Elmira cannot see him yet, but if the smoke gets thinner, she will see him, too.

The elves were surprised by your sudden attack and the chaos that broke out in the room and as two of them are already dead, slain by Pandora and Ashton, only two of them remain. The one behind the barrel already surrendered himself to the mercy of Xerim, after he got burned by the radiating light of the dragonborn. However, the elf in front of Carina, does not know much about his allies as the smoke makes it impossible for her to see through. She knows, that Carina is close and tries to spot her, using other senses as her sight, but Carina is does not make the smallest sound and so the elf has no idea where Carina is. (Perception check: 10, against Carinas passive Stealth of 12). The elf raises her scimitar and simply swings it in a wide angle, hoping to hit Carina. (Attack with disadvantage, 22 and 12) But the scimitar only cuts the smoke and hits nothing. Not knowing where to go and with the wall in her back she slowly walks into the opposite direction of where the smoke bomb exploded, towards the outer wall (M6).

However, by doing so, she walks right into the readied bow of Elmira, who's reaction is quick enough to loose the arrow which hits the elf in her side with a soft sound. The elf stops in shock and gazes at the arrow as she tries to breathe, but the arrow has missed her rips and went deep into the side of her chest. She falls down onto her knees and grips the arrow, but her eyes roll up in that very moment, and as she completely falls flat on her chest, Elmira - even from afar - has no doubt, that she is dead.

Ashton will push open the window on the side he went to, trying to clear smoke from his side of the room as well.  "Does anyone need help, I can't see you."

Feeling the elf's (elf4's) scimitar pass through the air somewhere not far from her, Carina wants to attack opportunistically with her warhammer as they move away, but can't see well enough in the smoke.  Her ears rather than her eyes tell her when the fleeing elf takes an arrow to the body, rendering them unlikely to cause further trouble.

Instead she turns back to the first elf that she had knocked unconscious (elf1) and does what she can to bind them with hempen rope from her explorer's pack.  She does not yet trust her voice to speak much without coughing in the thick smoke.  She simply reports to her companions:

"Tying an unconscious one up here.  Are the rest down?"

As Ashton opens the window, the two open windows work as a vent and more and more of the smoke vanishes. Since none of the elves can or wants to fight anymore, the fight is over.

"ARGH! P... Please! Don't kill me!" Says the elf before Xerim

Carina, in the midst of tying up the unconscious elf in front of her, starts to verbally threaten the surrendering elf in front of Xerim.  She has no intention of hurting them further, but is hoping to intimidate them into divulging who they are, why they are here at Pelc's, and what they were looking for.

But the last of the smoke gets in her lungs and it comes out as a choking, coughing fit, making her look a little pathetic instead...

Intimidation:  7 (Nat. 1)

Ashton goes over to pat Carina on the back.   He looks over at the last conscious elf but tks ti his companions. "Look, we don't need that one."  Pointing at the conscious one.  "Why don't we just kill him and question this one?"  It comes across very insincere. 

Intimidation: 6

"No. Let's figure out why they are here. We can turn them in to the Glassblades. Maybe they can do honest work."

I stand towering over the elf I was attacking. I watch his hands and make sure he doesn't do anything out of the ordinary. "Someone tie him up, I have no bindings. I'll tend with the dead and carry them outside. Someone wanna help me? We can also check what they have on them." I suggest as I still stare at the elf.

(OOC: I will put up Guidance and assist in any Investigation on the items on the dead)

Elmira keeps lookout at the door while her allies try to extract intel from the elf. (Perception: Dirty 20)

Pandora steps zu Xerim and knees down to the Elf. She takes off her backpack and notice her bloody hands. She quickly wipes them on her pants. With her still slightly dirty hands she takes out of the backpack the rope to tie up the Elf. After checking if the rope is tie enough she stands up and say "You should do yourself a favor and tell us what we need to know." with a stern look. (Intimidation: 3)

Unfortunately, she stumbled a bit while standing up and could only give her statement jokes instead of emphasis.
