"Thank you!'"he says. After eating a few bites and thinking about the story, he speaks up.
"I think that the story would help us to get through the temple, but I don't know how. Maybe if we wore crocodiles, or rode on them? It sounds silly, though."
Eku looks thoughtful. "Maybe Krav. Let me relate the story once again and you decide. I don't bother with tomb raiding and such so I don't pay attention to these things."
In the early days of the world, Man stood by the banks of a river, frightened. Crocodile raised his head from the water and asked, “What troubles you, cousin Man?”
Man said, “I must cross this river, but I fear to enter the water alone, because it teems with your brethren.”
Crocodile replied, “It’s true, you would not be safe. But I will carry you across the river safely on my back, if you promise to return the favor.” Man agreed, and Crocodile bore him safely across the water
When they reached the far bank, Man asked, “How can I repay you?” Crocodile replied, “I wish to see the realm of Humans, but I fear to go there alone, because it teems with your brethren. You must carry me on your back across your realm.” Man had been tricked, but a promise is a promise, so he carried Crocodile safely on his back across the entire realm of humans, a journey that lasted many years. He also swore, in his anger, that never again would Men and Crocodiles be friends, and so it has remained to this day.
Crossing over with post #762. Vart initially joined the party heading into the temple but muttered under his breadth "ਮੁਢਲੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਮੂਰਖਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਪਰਵਾਹੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ". However when Zacchariah loses his footing and falls into the pit. He says "enough is enough, the Primordial Gods do not want us to enter this temple tonight, I am going back with Krav". He then returns to the Camp.
The sun sets completely over the trees leaving the Camp Righteous in darkness except for the campfire you have lit. The light sheds 30' of the darkness away and another 30' further is considered dim light. You do see two lights within the eyes of the statue from when Greggor put the torches in them.
Undril and Eku begin to lay out their bedrolls and get ready for sleep. Krav gets ready to take first watch as everyone begins to head off to sleep.
I assume you are all going to sleep except the people temple/tomb/ruin/statue raiding?

The night goes without incident and you all awake to a beautiful sunny jungle. The sun is rising and the temperature is a balmy 96 degrees. The sounds of the jungle are in abundance today and it is a rather peaceful morning. As you get up and break camp you notice that Khan, Zachariah, Tap, Elvoril, and Zee are nowhere to be seen. The people who stood watch during the night never noticed them come out of the temple or see Zee return from her hunting trip last night.
"It would appear our treasure hunters are not back from the temple, and Zee is still missing. This leaves us in a vulnerable position should those goblins decide to return."
Kaslo stores away his bedding, then eats breakfast, drinks water, and applies some insect repellent. "I think we should depart from these hallowed ruins and get Undril to her camp."
Vart was on morning watch and having completed his morning ritual he stores away his bedding, then eats breakfast, drinks water, and applies some insect repellent. "I agree we are down on numbers and need to leave these ruins today and continue our journey Friend Kaslo but we need to wait until our friends have returned. If they are not back by mid-morning we need to send a rescue party party after them."
Eku looks around the camp and watches Krav run back to the temple and shakes her head. "Those fools probably got themselves killed. Ancient ruins, temples, and tombs are quite abundant in the jungle and I've never seen any of them that weren't loaded with deadly traps or monsters. True you can become rich by going in just one of these places but I feel the risks aren't worth it. To each his own I guess."
Undril finishes eating and packing away her stuff. "I don't mind waiting, we aren't that far away from Camp Vengeance, maybe half a day at most."

Translation from Draconic: "Darn it, flamming great big lizards that stomp all over the place and make it hard to see what smaller creatures have been doing!"
As Vart is searching for any sign of Zee's tracks, Krav exits the temple with his head hung low. He makes his way to the campfire and finishes packing up his gear in silence. Once he is done he walks over to the boat. "Are we ready?"

Feeling extremely refreshed from the night's sleep, Krav is half-way through breakfast when he notices the party members' absence.
"Barzûlegûrs!" he exclaims, and hustles over to the temple, grabbing his pack and axe.
Good thing I already packed my bedroll and raincatcher, he thinks.
