Mixtli will follow behind the others, giving Miallee time to enter stealthy, and the others to take up their stance.
As soon as he is in he will look around for anything that looks like it might be seen as a turn off/on switch.
Perception: 16
If nothing is seen on first sight he'll start investigating a workbench or table
Investigation: 24
((btw, I think the protector cannon will be on Dains shoulder or back. Each turn I will use my BA to give everyone within 10ft of Dain d8+4 temp hp; Doesn't stack so take highest of what is rolled and what you have.))
Mixtli will continue this as they are being noticed.

Dain Ironfist stepped forward with a steady and measured gait, positioning himself firmly between the construct and the rest of the group. His presence was commanding yet respectful, and his deep blue eyes regarded the enigmatic entity before him with a keen curiosity. He knew that caution was necessary, but so was the willingness to seek a peaceful resolution. With a deep breath to steady his thoughts, Dain initiated a conversation with the construct, his voice echoing with a dignified and articulate tone. "Greetings, noble construct," he began, his words carefully chosen. "I am Dain Ironfist, and these are my companions. We mean no harm, and we come in the spirit of curiosity and understanding." He extended his hand slightly, as if offering a gesture of goodwill. "We've noticed that you have been interacting with our feline friend, Gilbert," Dain continued, his gaze unwavering. "It's a unique sight, and it has raised questions. Are you willing to engage in a dialogue with us? We seek to understand your purpose here and the nature of your actions." Dain's approach was both diplomatic and cautious, an attempt to bridge the gap between their party and the enigmatic machine. He hoped that this construct, with its soft purple glow and gauntleted fists, held the answers they were searching for, and that peaceful communication would prevail over conflict.
using Message , Liber whispers to dain "not to be a bother, but the construct seems to be powered by a bizarre mix of abjurative, transmutative, and conjurated energies. Tiamat take me as to the mechanism, though. this'll be tricky."
Trencher, finished with checking the perimeter and making quite sure nothing else was going to show up as a threat from outside, moves into the doorway of the lab.
The construct seems to be listening to Dain, but does not respond. It looks towards Gilbert and to the dead artificer in her easy chair.
Mixtli spots nothing that stands out as an obvious 'off switch' on the construct, though does note that the panel of armor on its back has hinges along the central spine, as if the panels to either side might fold up. Nor does he see any control panel that would be used to direct the creature. From it seeming to respond to Dain, he surmises from his past experience that it may have enough intellect to have responded to verbal commands... which have been in short supply from its creator.

Dain continued to maintain eye contact with the construct, though it remained silent and unresponsive. The enigmatic machine's gaze shifted between him, Gilbert, and the deceased artificer, leaving an air of mystery that hung in the room. Determined to make headway, Dain chose his words with care, maintaining his diplomatic tone. "We understand that you have been alone here for some time," he said, "and we extend our condolences for the loss of your creator. It must have been a difficult and lonely journey." As Dain spoke, he couldn't help but feel empathy for the construct. It was a creation, a sentient being that had likely faced isolation for an extended period. He hoped that his words could convey their peaceful intentions and their willingness to assist in any way they could. With a final nod of resolve, Dain turned his attention back to the construct. "We're here to help," he assured the machine, his voice tinged with empathy. "If there's anything you need or if you can tell us more about your purpose, please don't hesitate to communicate with us. We're willing to listen and assist you in any way we can." Dain's efforts to engage in a dialogue with the construct continued, and he remained hopeful that their intentions and willingness to understand would eventually lead to a breakthrough in communication.
It doesn't seem inclined to respond with violence, at least while you are all just standing there speaking to it. It certainly would have potentially made things difficult for its creator if it just attacked on sight.

Dain maintained his position, standing his ground in front of the enigmatic construct. The machine had yet to offer any verbal response or clear indication of its intentions, leaving the situation shrouded in uncertainty. Drawing upon his innate abilities, he decided to relay his intentions to his companions using the Message spell. With a subtle incantation, he cast the spell, and his thoughts were channeled through the arcane connection it provided. In Tandor's mind, Dain's voice resonated with clarity and urgency. "I'll keep an eye on the construct," he messaged, his words echoing in the other's thoughts. "You and the others search the room for any clues or ideas. Let's cover all our bases before we make any decisions." With his message sent, his attention remained locked on the construct. His purpose was clear: to maintain a watchful eye over the enigmatic entity, ready to respond to any developments while the rest of the group explored the room for potential solutions.
The construct seems to be attempting to watch all of you, though without visible eyes, it's a bit tough to see, but slight movements of the helm suggest it is keeping tabs on those it had noticed so far.
Gilbert finishes his snack, and licks his paws with satisfaction.

Trencher lets out a large breath of air he was holding. Relaxing his grip on his weapon a bit he will move it to a less threatening position and then slowly walk into the building. He will move closer to the construct but stay 20 feet away. He will just wait there.

Tandor completes his spells, stops, and turns toward the construct. In his best 'counselor to the people' voice he says, "I mean your creator no harm. I am a priest of Pelor and wish to check her. She may be beyond my aid but, if so, I would perform the funereal rites. And, if by Pelor's grace she is not beyond my aid, I would help her."
