"I wasn't expectin' anything, but I was twice over not expectin' whatever those are!" Mirt replies. He shoos Rel away, saying "Don't ye worry about me, just get rid of them things. i'll be fine, s'long as I can keep last nights dinner down," he adds.

Rel Initiative 6
The satyr asks, "You weren't expecting anything? Then this is an assassination attempt! Someone needs to warn the Bos'n or the Dock workers not to let that ship leave!"
“Well, what are you waiting for Rel, get going!!!” Roy says says with an authoritative voice as he prepares to blast one of the creatures with a Fire Bolt.
[Roy is up first, I believe you were planning to cast Fire Bolt? You have some of the creatures up in your face so you can make the attack roll at disadvantage, or move away to get some space, but risk some attacks of opportunity]
Roy seeing how close the creatures are to him and the rest of the group member reconsiders using Fire Bolt . Instead he opts to use his daggers and attacks the creature directly to his "north" (the single creature above his icon)
Roy's first dagger pierces the creature's neck and some sticky fluid that seems to be its version of blood spurts out, but his second dagger glances off the creature's carapace and the hatching stays upright.
Mirt rolls about on the floor, trying to unravel himself from the bedcovers.
[Rel's turn is next. You said you were going to run for help, so you could either use an action and then move your speed, which would get you just out into the corridor, or use the Dash action to get far enough off the map to maybe find a security officer.]
Rel will move and dash to try and get help. He wants to alert the officers not only about the creatures in the crate, but also to prevent the ship that delivered the package from departing.
Rel sprints back to the security checkpoint you all passed on the way to Mirt's quarters, and blurts out that he's been attacked.
"An attack on the Old Wolf? Must be a day ending in -th," scoffs one of the three guards.
"A buddy of mine in the WSAPAME told me they were blocking any assassination contracts on him, 'cause they were losing too many membership dues," the second comments.
The third, taking you a little more seriously, asks, "The only people who've been near his room were you cadets. Are you saying one of you tried to mess with the old man? Are they still breathing?"
[You'll get a chance to persuade them next round. For now, it's Gloix's turn!]
Zaius bares his teeth as he drops the crowbar and draws his scimitar “You weren't expecting anything? We were told this box was for you!”he calls to Mirt, then attacks the strange creature to his front. (attack on 4)
One of the creatures has barely crawled out of the crate before Zaius's scimitar cuts it down! "People send me gifts all the time!" Mirt rejoins as he extricates himself from his sheets, "I'm very important!"
[Still looking for a turn from Gloix, but I'll take Xaiver's as well, the exact order is unlikely to be important and if it is I'll serialize it after the fact]
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
[Gloix let me know on Discord that he's been sick, and was hoping to be able to post in the last couple days but wasn't able to. I'll take an action for him to keep us moving.]
[Also, Ugh, I was trying out the dndbeyond combat tracker, which is nice except it apparently doesn't actually save its state, so if your browser/computer restarts, you lose everything. Back to ye olde spreadsheete it is, please excuse if I haven't reconstructed the order quite right]
Gloix summons sparking electrical energy around his hand, and tries to grab at one of the creatures next to him.
Oh, so we carried a box full of creatures to someone who wasn't expecting anything. Doesn't sound like an assassination attempt at all.
Xavier, who'd been taking a background role for most of the confrontation, jumped at the opportunity to rough some stuff up. He ran towards the nearest creature, and made a sweeping kick, then planted his feet and punched hard
Xavier comes out swinging, and he didn't come to play around. He roundhouse kicks one of the creatures [#7] in its neck, and it collapses to the ground. It's joined shortly by it's... sibling? which, having already been shocked half to death [#8], now takes a punch to the face that gets it all the way there.
[A big turn; two enemies join the one already dead, but now it's the remaining ones' turn...]
Two of the hatchlings retaliate against Xavier, moving to surround him.
[#6 moves, provoking an attack of opportunity from Roy, then bite against Xavier: 8 for 3 plus 3 poison damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned for 1 minute #5 doesn't move but also bites at Xavier: 9 for 5 plus Unable to parse dice roll. poison damage, save save]
Meanwhile, another of the monsters bites at Roy's back, while the remaining two both attack Zaius.
[#1 bite on Roy: 7 for 3 plus 6 poison damage, same save #2 bite on Zaius: 16 for 4 plus 3 poison damage, same save #3 bite on Zaius: 13 for 5 plus 5 poison damage, same save]

"Well, that is straight out of my nightmares," comments Rel. "I don't suppose this might turn out to be another simulation?... Please?"
He will kneel and try and help Mirt detangle himself and get to his feet.
"I wasn't expectin' anything, but I was twice over not expectin' whatever those are!" Mirt replies. He shoos Rel away, saying "Don't ye worry about me, just get rid of them things. i'll be fine, s'long as I can keep last nights dinner down," he adds.
[Still need initiative for Rel, Xavier and Gloix]

Oriovar - Wood Elf Cleric (1) - Sword Coast Campaign
Roy Quigley - Human Artificer (1) - Karrion's Spelljammer Academy Starboard
Rel will attempt to exit the Commander's apartment and flag down any nearby security officers. "Help! The commander's been attacked!"
[In the interest of keeping things moving, I'll roll initiative for Xavier (12) and Gloix (16)]

Wut, let's try that again
