Zaius misses his opponent while everyone else focusses fire on the other creature. Most miss, but a rock from Gloix's sling clangs against the thing's metal head, distracting it just long enough for Rel to sink his two blades into the sides of its brainpan, and it slumps to the ground!
The final remaining clockwork horror launches a final, desperate flurry of blows at Zaius. [#1 Bite vs Zaius: 6 for 8 piercing damage #1 Rotating Saw vs Zaius: 12 for 5 slashing damage #1 Rotating Saw vs Zaius: 7 for 5 slashing damage]
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zaius dips and spins, managing to avoid the horror’s rotating saw blades. He notices the other horror fall and shouts to the crew “Last one, let’s finish this” before plunging his scimitar into the creature.
Zaius's scimitar cuts one of the horror's legs out from under it, and Erma's warhammer knocks it off the wall, sending it crashing to the ground. The clockwork creature looks up at you all, the light in its crystal eye flickering uncertainly. "You cannot… kill us in any way that matters," it rasps in slow, pained Thri-kreen, "even if… our hibernation is as long… as the one you woke us from… since the round ones…" it trails off, before its eye flashes with one last pulse of light, "we will… live… agai—" the last word is cut off as a projectile from Roy's force cannon, having finally tuned its aim, crushes its skull.
“Game over, man, game over……..” Roy says, then adds with a smile, “For them.” He then nods a ‘yes’ to Erma’s question, gesturing to his scorched body and smolder hair from the Horrors successful electrical attack, and collapses on the floor with a sigh from exhaustion.
(LOL. I have no idea what this means but it's hilarious)
Rel slowly sinks backwards until he is laying on the deck surface, staring up (down?) at the stars. He groans. "Noth... Nothing that a few hours' sleep won't fix. I wonder how long the flight to the beholder world will take?"

Zaius grimaces down at the fallen horror “I’m fine. Nothing a few hours rest won’t solve. Thanks for keeping me going during the fight” he replies to Erma. He kicks the pieces of the fallen horror, separating them just in case they start putting themselves back together. He looks around the parts and pieces of the deck, looking for anything interesting in the debris. Perception: 11. (Passive:14)
As the sounds of battle die down, you see Veena poke her head up through the hatch to the command deck. "Oh, you're still alive?" she sounds disappointed. "It sounded like you were getting your butts kicked. Which, don't get me wrong, I would've loved to stay and watch, but they make you do so much boring paperwork if someone dies, so I went and got there from supplies." She gracefully lifts herself fully through the hatch, and you see she's carrying a bundle of healing potions. [Enough for one for anyone who needs it]
Buried under one of the debris piles, Zaius finds an almost complete autognome chassis; bolted to the chest is a small brass plaque bearing a word in a language you don't recognise, and from within you can just hear a slow, quiet ticking. Next to the autognome lies a small iron coffer that is intact, and latched closed but doesn't seem to be locked.
The box opens easily; it contains five pearls [worth 100gp each] and a spell scroll that Roy would recognise as a scroll of Rope Trick.
The autognome is alive but unconscious and fairly damaged; Roy estimates that he could do some makeshift repairs with the spare parts strewn around and some time.
Roy continues his attacks with his crossbow and the force ballista.

Erma looks at everyone in turn. "How close to death are you? Need some healing?"

After he is satisfied with the debris pile, he goes over and looks at the autognome and then slowly and carefully examines the latched box.

Roy sets to work repairing the autognome as best he can, figuring it may provide some answers about how the horrors came to be on the ship.
