Qitru freezes, hand halfway toward drawing her weapon, unable to move (and barely managing to remain mounted on the star lancer).

Roy tries again with Fire Bolt and force ballista combination.

Roy and his ballista both hit, and the paralyzed githyanki can't even grunt in reaction.

[Qitru's turn, and she can only attempt another wis save to end the hold person: 14, looking to beat 14]

[And then Zaius is up!]

Zaius springs forward, holding his scimitar at the Githyanki’s throat. “When we release you, leave this ship and never return. We have no quarrel with Vocath and want none, but if you persist with this foolishness I will cut you down.”  Intimidation: 10.

. (He figures killing her will lead to more trouble with Vocath than it is worth.. we will see if he is convincing or not).

You can't quite tell if it's the aftereffects of the paralysis keeping Qitru's face impassive, but she doesn't look particularly intimidated.

The star lancer, on the other hand, seems to take offense at its rider being threatened, and tries to run Zaius through with its horn.

Rel mutters something under his breath, which you can't quite make out, but Qitru seems to hear it and by the expression on her face it was quite offensive.

So offensive in fact, that Qitru dismounts and moves away from Rel, with a look of utter disgust on her face.

Meanwhile, Tarto takes the chance to take another shot with her musket at the now riderless space shark.

[Erma's turn!]

Wait, is that the same guy who's being paralyzed by Hold Person? Pretty sure they can't move at all, regardless of what compels them to do it.

[She was paralyzed but at the end of her turn made her saving throw (just!) to end the spell.]

[I should have called out Roy also being able to act, back at the top of the turn order. So, both Erma and Roy's turns are up.]

Erma will cast Toll the Dead on him for 10 damage on WIS 14 save (0 if saved).

[The roll above was briefly a 13, just missing the DC, before becoming a "dice unavailable error". What will it say tomorrow? Who knows!]

Qitru clutches her head and cries out in pain as Erma's spell lands, but manages to keep her eyes open enough to glare absolute murder at the dwarf.

Roy continues with his ranged attacks.

Firebolt Attack: 10 Damage: 8

Force Ballista Attack: 21 Damage: 14

Roy's firebolt attack misses, but the trusty ballista's shot finds its mark, and Qitru collapses to the ground!

[Zaius is up next!]

As Qitru slides to the ground, Zaius continues to attack the mount, trying to get revenge for the goring attack he took from the beast earlier.  He slashes his scimitar down against the snout of the creature.

Attack against star lancer: 8 Damage: 5.

Zaius cuts a gash in the star lancer's face. The creature, though, shoves its way past him to charge at Roy, whose attack felled its rider.

Tarto fires another musket shot at the shark.
