Rel will bring the Foundling alongside the other ship, parallel, gravity planes aligned, approximately 35 feet apart.
"Cast ropes!" he orders. "They can cross hand-over-hand, or they can truss the wounded and we can pull them over. Do not set foot on that ship unless absolutely necessary!"

Erma quickly pulls out her crossbow, ties silk rope to a bolt (and railing of Foundling) and takes a shot at a large object on the deck of the other ship.
Zaius nods at Erma as she sends a rope across between the two ships, then he tosses his rope with a grappling hook attached over to the other ship from his place in the rigging, securing the rope. As they get within shouting distance, he hails the other crew “Ho, Miken! What happened? Where is that electricity coming from?”
"I— I don't know!" Miken stammers in reply, as he secures both Zaius and Erma's ropes to the railing of his ship. "There was nothing in Systems about anything like this!" He then busies himself coordinating the rest of the crew onto the two ropes; once all but Miken have safely made it across to the Flighty Foundling, he unties Erma's rope and begins climbing across on Zaius's. He's almost halfway across when the other ship, almost constantly being wracked by electric pulses, lets out a horrible groaning noise. Looking back, he grimaces and yells out, "Go! She's going to blow!", and pulling a dagger from his belt, severs the rope behind him, hanging on for dear life as Rel pulls the Foundling away as fast as he can. Mere seconds later, behind your fleeing ship, a massive explosion of electrical energy blows the other vessel out of the sky.
There's just time for both crews to breathe a sigh of relief, and the others to begin thanking you for the evacuation, before the illusion around you ends in a wave of silvery blue light, and you stand within the simulation chamber where your training exercise began. Something's wrong: magical energy ripples like a turbulent cloud around you, reaching out to touch the rune-scribed walls, then exploding outward as bolts of lightning, sending Saerthe, Blip, and others flying to the ground.
[As the simulation ends, you recover any hit points lost and spell slots/limited use abilities spent during the simulation. Then, as the explosion happens, you must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 10 lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.]

Gloix staggers a little as the simulation ends and he feels less tired (Maybe? Assuming lose the exhaustion points). He takes a moment to recenter himself and barely notices the magical currents rippling around but tenses and tries to leap to the ground ahead of the blast.
Zaius is disoriented for a moment as the illusion around them fades and he finds himself back on the simulation deck. He has little time to react and he tries to twist out of the way as he realizes the electricity is still present, even though the simulation has ended.
Looking to your teammates, you see that nimble as ever, Xavier avoided taking a direct hit from the lightning bolts, but the rest of you were hit pretty hard [though I think all are still conscious]. You note that Miken and his party vanished along with the rest of the simulation; you recall that they we taken to a separate simulation chamber.
As bad as the blast was for all of you, it seems like it was focused primarily toward Saerthe; the human is badly injured but pulling themself up from the ground with a stream of particularly inventive swearing. Their clothing is covered in scorch marks, their face has multiple small lacerations and one eye already puffy with bruising, and most shockingly of all, their immaculate pompadour has several strands of hair out of place. "What in Asmodeus's hairy armpit was that?" they demand.
"Unclear," replies Mister Blip, examining his console. "Some form of instability formed in the illusion matrix. The resulting asymmetry produced a magical field deltra gradient which in turn caused a self-reinforcing standing wave in the—"
"Yes, yes, but what made the instability in the first place?" Saerthe cuts the autognome off.

While that is going on, Erma goes up to Saerthe and doesn't say anything, just grabs their arm and growls angrily, her own welts and bruises welling up at the same time. She casts cure wounds on them for 10 health and then walks away.
She looks at the rest of the group and asks, "Anyone close to death?"
“I am fine, it will take a lot more than that to bring me down.” Zaius replies to Erma as he stalks across the simulation deck, rubbing a sore shoulder and grimacing as he goes. “But what in the name of all the gods above and below was that? Not part of the simulation I take it.”
As Rel stands, he feels a tingling at his side; some of the lightning energy is clinging to his sword, and as he watches it appears to soak into the blade, which begins to glow with a gentle light. [Your rapier is now a Moon-Touched Sword (shortsword)!]
"Most certainly not," Saerthe replies, deadpan, to Zaius as they give Erma a subtle nod of gratitude for the heal. [You could make a Perception or Investigation to try to work out what went wrong...]
(OOC Rel's rapier is now a shortsword? That was some fancy lightning!)
Rel gapes as his weapon seems to absorb some of the energy, resolving mentally to examine it more closely later, but first, he hurries around trying to help anyone else who appears injured or endangered. Then, he will assist in trying to discover the cause of the malfunction.
