Veena laughs at Zap's question. The other cadets dutifully laugh along with her; one keeps laughing a little too long after Veena stops, until she silences him with a glare. "I don't really care,"she replies, "maybe tell them they gave you a real person's bed by mistake, and you need a bucket to sleep in."
As Da'Kal touches her pack, she snatches it back. "Hey, keep your mandibles off my stuff!"[Veena doesn't have the greatest knowledge of entomology]
[I think between Da'Kal, Zoide and Icarus, one or more of you should give me a Intimidation check]
Icarus says “Look, we are not giving it up. Let’s stop with the childish banter.(he says with a smile; than a serious eye) One more aggressive word out of any of your mouths and I will take it as an attack and respond accordingly. “
Veena ignores Zoide and Da'Kal, but asks the elf Icarus, "Why are you even defending these freaks?" She seems genuinely confused, but continues, "Ugh, whatever, this is a crappy bunk anyway," she looks over all of you, "it stinks of loser."
Venna stalks away, nose in the air, and the other cadets scurry after her. You're able to stow your gear in relative peace, and are ready to move on to your next task.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Yaris watches Veena walk away, she reminds him of someone from home, they were as much of an A-Hole as she is. He walks across to Zap "Zoide is right, she just wants to assert her dominance and thinks she can push over people."
Yaris looks for a bunk that is in the general area of the others but would look for the one that is most out the way, either on the end or in a corner. Mainly looking for one that he could meditate in the general area with relative ease. If all are taken he would take the next best thing without bullying someone out of their spot.
He places his spare set of clothes in the footlocker and changes into the uniform that was given to him. It fits nicely but he rolls the sleeves up to just past the elbows, hoping that there isn't a strict dress code that needs to be adered to. He takes a moment to sit on the bed and close his eyes feeling the space around him. If Yaris were to meditate here would this spot be quiet and comfortable enough? Perception check: 21

Zap looks to their companions and still shows their mask tilted in confusion. "Zap doesn't think I would fit in a bucket. Perhaps if they made really big ones." They look to their friends as if seeking an answer. "Zap is confused why the one called Veena seemed so angry. Is it because I am a freak? Or is it because I am not a real person?" They look at their bunk and touch it as if still trying to figure out what is wrong with the bunk. "Zap does not see why this bunk doesn't work. Zoide, I do not think they could fit in my head. Zap made it too small. Oh! She could not tell I don't fit in a bucket, nor that the bed was big enough for me. She also wants to get inside my head. Is that why Zap shouldn't listen to her? She has trouble with size comparisons? That sounds really hard. I can see why she is mad. Is that a common problem with people?" Zap then proceeds to put the few items they have with them on the bunk. They then look at their companions and ask "Well, Zap is satisfied with my bunk. Does anyone else need help locating a properly sized bunk?" The plasmoid looks around with their mask trying to take it just the general sense of where others are sleeping.

While not quite the prime real estate that Zap's bunk appears to be, the rest of you are close by and this section of the dormitory does seem to be relatively peaceful; you think you would have no difficulty meditating here.
Icarus says with a smile "Zap, my friend, you are not a freak. You are Unique, just like each and every one of us. Special in your own way." He looks at the bunk, presses the mattress. "Its a good bunk, just right for you." With that he goes over to his bunk and starts to put his things away.

Yaris opens his eyes and assesses his bunk, not bad he thinks to himself and then gets up to take a look at the room. Is it separated from the other groups or is it one big barrack with everyone bunking opposite each other down the walls?
He would also make a point of trying to see where Veena has decided to bunk and would make a point of commiting it to memory. Perception check: 6

[I'm imagining the dormitory is one continuous space, but somewhat irregularly shaped and broken up by large support columns and partitions into subsections, and various nooks cut into the outer walls. Most of the bunks are in these nooks but some are along the dividing walls or even against the pillars.]
You saw the bunk that Veena was presumably assigned, and was trying to get Zap to swap to; it's one of the ones along a pillar, kind of stuck out in the open in a high-traffic area where most people will have to go past it to get to the washrooms. You don't see quite see where she and her cronies have got to now; probably trying to bully some other recruit into swapping with her.
Yaris heads over to Da'Kal "Hey, did I see you picked Corps too? I haven't any true magical prowess to steer ships and I don't think I'd be any good at it, but I can most definitely keep people away from those who can! What sort of training do you think they'll have in store for us?"
Yaris stands and does not sit without being invited, but from this distance you can see he has a blue green tinge to his skin and it almost looks wet to touch although it is not, the red makes a deep contrast and the colour seems to clash with his skin but not as much as his spiked, white hair.

Kiki sighs as Veena goes off. "Some people, honestly..." She then tosses her things on a nearby bunk and claims it for her own. Kiki pulls out a tiny piece of metal with adhesive on the backside and sticks it to the bedpost, then uses her magical tinkering abilities to inscribe the following message onto it: "This bunk belongs to Cadet Kathrin 'Kiki' Forger. Go find somewhere else to sleep!"
Satisfied with her work, Kiki joins her companions. "I'm all sorted, so as soon as you're ready, we can continue. Way to keep your head held high, Zap. We ought to keep an eye out for that Veena. I doubt she's just gonna slink away and never trouble us again."

Da"KAL is disappointed by the lack of a fight and suspects her eager drooling was misinterpreted.
