New adventure

Boghadair takes Arafiel's lead,  and moves twenty feet away near cover and making sure that he can provide crossfire to the door and windows.  Ensuring that he can fire at the angles not covered by Arafiel.  He patiently has his bow and arrow ready. 

Using mind speech he tells the party individually "Why are they so concerned about the dragon?  What is it they wanted from it?" 

The sounds of the bar behind the door being moved alerts the team.  Six humans slowly walk out the door.  Each makes a pause and looks intimidated by the Half-Orc and Goliath.   The cultists wear black cloaks cut to resemble dragon wings, and black leather masks with stylized dragon horns.  Each is wearing black leather armor and is armed with bloody daggers and some carry scimitars.  The last to leave the building is the only to speak.  "We .... (he looks around at his men and then takes note of your group)... demand to see the dragon."  The eyes of those who first came out jump at the word "demand".

ooc: since i think “most” of the remains are here at camp. perseption 6 to see how well i’m paying attention on watch at this point.

edit: sigh... just as i feared. totally lost in my research notes.

In his most intimidating voice, Ian say “you are going to demand from us when we butcher your god and wear his teeth as trophies.  This is your last chance to get out of here.  GET GOING!!!”  He says pointing to Droops dragon tooth necklace.

 All six gain confidence after Ian attempts to intimidate them.

Favric (#6) yells something in Draconic and all cultists draw very stylized daggers and cut their arms. The group then forms a formation around him. 

mutters:   i've got a bad feeling about this

"Diplomacy doesn't work on idiots that make demands. " Boghadair says,  and fires off a Bursting Arrow into Favric.

Bursting Arrow Attack: 12; Damage: 9 piercing damage
3 force damage 

15 force damage (critical) 

Action Surge:  Boghadair fires another arrow at Favric

Longbow Ranged Attack: 22; Damage: 10 piercing damage

OOC : I can't seem to figure out the proper coding for doing the Arcane arrows.  So for simplicity's sake,  I'm just going to keep including both regular force damage and critical force damage. 

Arafiel casts Snilloc’s Snowball Swarm on Favric

7  cold damage   dex save 13 for half

As soon as the snow clears, Ian swings on the closest cultist with his Morningstar and uses horde breaker trait on next cultists 

1st Attack: 13 Damage: 13

2nd Attack: 23 Damage: 13

Favric crumples to the ground from Boghadair’s attacks.

Dexterity saves #1 9 #2 11 #3 16 #4 18 #5 14

 #1 and #2 take full damage... rest only half.

Ian crushes the front two cultists.

Next Thagakh, Akaas, and Droop.  Then the cultist.

Akaas slides around the Mighty orc, spinning his staff. He swings upward, aiming for the next cultist ribs, spins around to plant an elbow in the same spot, and then spins the other direction to ram an open palm into its chest.

Two-Hand "Quarterstaff" Attack: 18; Damage: 8 bludgeoning damage

"Unarmed Strike" Attack: 17; Damage: 5 bludgeoning damage

Flurry of Blows "Unarmed Strike" Attack: 13; Damage: 6 bludgeoning damage

OOC: It must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw of 12 or be knocked prone.

Akaas sends one of three to the ground.

Droop drives in with his short sword on #4 followed by a punch to the head.

#4 is badly damaged. 

Thagakh drags his greatsword to the ground before he release a large swing against the last cultist (#6)

Thagakh makes quick work of #6.  The only remaining cultist (#5) turns to run from the scene having watched his friends taken out so easily.

Seeing the dragon worshiper run from the battle surprised Ian, “let him go... he will not come back here again.”

"Another cloak to add Thagakh's collection. Definitely not the reason Thagakh wanted to find the shady people."

The half-orc strips one of the black cloaks close to his size.

Thag  when we get to Neverwinter you should find a tailor and combine the black and red

The half-orc shows a thumbs up,

"Thagakh thinks Arafiel's suggestion is good. Thagakh will put the redbrand robe under this cool black robe with dragon wings.

Perhaps Thagakh can find someone to put magic on it at Neverwinter to look cooler."

The half-orc then dashes to Tyrus and flaunts his new robe and where he found them.
