The pathway runs along side the stream which is only 2 feet deep. As Johnson peers into the cave on the right, he can see that there are 3 wolves chained to the wall. Each wolf is chained to a stalagmite by a rod driven through its base. You can see a fissure in the back of the cave that leads up like a natural chimney. Ahead of this section of the cave following the stream the cave slants upward. It is difficult to see very far ahead that way due to low light and slope of the path. All sounds seem to be muffled by the water. The wolves have calmed down a bit since they do not see any of you yet.

quietly to the group. they’ve got wolves chained up. we’ll either need to move past quietly OR take the wolves out and hope not to attract to much attention. what do you want to do?
i keep my bow at the ready in case i need to take out a wolf.
"I am sorry I am not the quietest person when i move, maybe we should just end the wolves now? or we could go back and get Akass and Thagackh" Kelli whispers.
if the choice is move quietly or keep the group together, then i vote taking the wolves out. i can lead off the attack and anyone with range can try and assist. there on chains, so keep the melee on deck it case this gets physical. if no one suggests an alternative soon, i’m going to start taking out these wolves.
johnson notches an arrow and prepares to go to work unless a better plan is provided.
Boghadair takes a moment to pull out several trinkets and charms scattered about his pockets, bracelets, necklaces and others tied to his bow.
Boghadair focuses on each one as he calls out a Deity saying,
"Solonor Thelandira, God of archery let my aim be true! Brandobaris, God of stealth, thievery and adventuring keep our steps quiet, and our adventures a riot! Haela Brightaxe, Goddess of luck and joy in battle, make this a thrilling experience! Tamara, Goddess of life, light, and mercy let us survive this ordeal and not succumb to the darkness! Jauhar, Goddess of wealth, please ensure this will be a bountiful enterprise!"
Once finished Boghadair, puts them away and picks up his bow, notches an arrow and says, "Right boys, we're covered now. Let's go have some fun!"
"Perhaps we can accomplish both goals," Tyrus motions to the rods chaining the wolves to stalagmites in the room. "It's not like they're going anywhere. Have at them, master Boghadair."
The half-orc replies rather excited to the old halfling
"Thagakh choose his name from the sound of this greatsword when cleaving. Thagakh likes cleaving. As for what Thagakh came from, Thagakh does not remember. Thagakh always camping and travel for adventure and last job as soldier, always new things for Thagakh to see. Thagakh cannot remember most things, so Thagakh sometimes forget very old details."
The half-orc begins to ask
"How about you? Thagakh did not live that long but you look old. Probably seen lots of new things"
Ian does a quick search on the two dead goblins and joins the rest at the mouth of the cave.

unless you think you can take all three silently we should try to sneak past and keep the element of surprise as long as we can

The third wolf is dead. Upon investigating the area near the wolves, you find a shaft leading up to a level above you.
Out near the stream the path continues along the stream but sloping upward.
Back at the wagons, at a distance of over 300 yards the wolf from earlier is watching the two of you at the wagons.

The half-orc assess the situation
"Thagakh sees the wolf again, other wolves might be near."
The half-orc tries to identify if there are signs of feral wolves living near this close to the trail.
Survival 23
Ian retrieves any useful arrows from the wolves. He takes a look at the shaft to see if he could climb it.
19 perception
If he is too big, he cautiously walks up the path. Shield and mace out.
18
Thagakh can not determine if there are traces of feral wolves.
Inside the cave, Ian seems to big for the shaft. A smaller character could climb up if they were athletic.
Up the path next to the stream, an overhead bridge connects a pathway above the lower pathway.
