"That sounds good Arafiel.  You and Thaggy try to round up Akaas and we'll head to the inn and round up some ale and food for us.  We still have some celebrating to do after that little adventure!" Boghadair says with a wide smile.

With the delays at the Lionshield Coster and Barthens provisions, Sildar has had time to clean himself up and re-equip himself. He joins you at Barthens. “Thank you for rescuing me and helping me to get to Phandalin.”  He hands each character an additional 10 gp thanking him personally.  He says that this town has been having major issues lately that he would like their help with.  He is also eager to find his friend Gundren.  Sildar suggests they go to the Inn to rest.  He says Linene has purchased rooms for them and most of the respectable locals will be there for dinner. Sildar is going to search for an old friend Iarno Albrek.

He says Queline Alderleaf may be able to assist in finding Cragmaw Castle and Gundren.

During Akaas strolling around the town, he could not help feeling as though he was being watched.  In addition to the feeling , he noticed a common fashion choice of scarlet robes being worn.

"Thagakh will also give this 10 additional gold pieces to old Akaas as well. So, a total of 35 gold pieces."

The half-orc pulls the elf's arm

"Let's go Arafiel, old Akaas might be lonely."

and immediately dashes off where the tracks lead.

Tyrus is willing to do this on his own but would appreciate any backup from the others (minus Thagakh and Akaas who are separated from the group).

"Tyrus,  I will gladly help dispose of a couple of bullies.  But let's head to the inn first and talk with some of the locals.  Perhaps they can provide us with more information about the Redbrands." Boghadair says.

Down the street from Barthen’s provisions is the Townmaster’s Hall. The Townmaster’s Hall has sturdy stone walls, a pitched wooden roof, and a bell tower in the back.  Posted on a board next to the front door is a notice written in common.  It reads, “Reward—- Orcs near Wyvern Tor! Those of a mind to face the orc menace should inquire within.”  The notice bears the town’s seal and an indecipherable signature.  Across the street from the Hall are three human men wearing red robes leaning against the exterior wall of the woodworkers building.  They are watching Thagakh and Arafiel reading the sign.

The rest of the party are resting peacefully in their rooms at the Inn.  Dinner will be served downstairs in about 3 hours.  All of the resting characters regain 4 hp if needed.

Akaas is about to inquire at the Miner’s Exchange he has heard that the guildmaster is someone with influence.  The Miner’s Exchange is just around the corner from the woodworker shop.

Akaas enters the Miner's Exchange, his staff clunking against the floor, announcing his arrival.

The Miner’s Exchange is a trading post where local miners have their valuable finds weighed, measured, and paid out. In the absence of any local lord or authority, the exchange also serves as an unofficial records office, registering claims to various streams and excavations around the area. There isn’t any real gold rush in Phandalin, but enough wealth is hidden in the nearby streams and valleys to support a good number of independent prospectors.

Akaas bows slightly. "Good day. My companions and I are new to town. We were contracted by ... mmm ... a Dwarf, whose name escapes me, to bring some goods to your city. His man, Sildar, is with us. I understand you are a woman of influence in this town and I thought I would stop in to introduce myself. I am Akaas Fordus," he says, bowing again.

johnson may not be as invested as Tyrus but he’ll tag along to help how he can.

Halia replies to Akaas, “a woman of influence in this town doesn’t mean what it used to mean.”  

“No one around here can get anywhere with Cragmaw Goblins and this scarlet fiend Glasstaff.”

“ I specialize in determining the value of things not chasing off ...... villains.”

The half-orc shouts as loudly as he can at the red robed people across the street.

"Are you the Redbrands? Thagakh heard someone named Tyrus wants to serve you a dish at a nearby inn. Thagakh also heard it was free of charge."

The half-orc thinks to himself

"Now Tyrus won't have to waste time finding them. Thagakh really is a helpful half-orc."
