Can Frandal roll a Nature check to know if the weather is normal for this time of the year in this region of the world? Nature: 21
Xellos rubs his sore shoulders after his subpar performance and says to Frandal, "I was thinking the same thing that we should meet up later and see if we can gather more information regarding our, erm, excursion. Any chance to learn a bit of lore, I'm there. Yes, by all means I'll join you later."

The final event of the Tournament of Talisten is the one that generates the most laughs and is, therefore, the crowd favorite: greased-pig catching. Even the best of athletes have been made to look foolish by a squealing pig that can prove to be very elusive and uncooperative as it darts this and way and that around an enclosed area.
GREASED-PIG CATCHING
Each contestant must catch a greased pig with his or her bare hands.
The pig is confined in a fenced area 30’ x 30’. Players are awarded points based on the length of time it takes to catch the elusive little animal (Fifty points for 1st place, 45 points for 2nd place, 40 points for third place, and so on).
Here’s how your character’s abilities, skills, and proficiencies—along with your dice rolls—will be used to generate a score for your character in the Magician's Gambit contest:
100 - (Acrobatics check + Animal Handling check) = number of seconds to catch the pig

Jerrick was next...and he also finished in 74 seconds. He made sure to give the pig a large, theatrical kiss on the snout before releasing it for the next contestant.

"Ho ho, how ridiculous! I like this!"
Arissa chases the pig around, and it is clear she does not have much natural talent in this sport, although she might have some luck, for she catches the pig in 86 seconds.

Xellos looks on with excitement and runs to stand on top of the closest fence post to the pig and attempts to fire up the crowd (standing on the top turnbuckle of the mud wrestling ring) and throws his arms in the air. "I learned this from an old King in my travels known as the Macho King Randy Savage—the famous grappler with a +2 magical elbow! OHH YEAH!"
He jumps as high as he can off the top rope with his right elbow out and has a trajectory towards the pig, "Drop that big elbow—YEAH!" His elbow lifts at the last moment to avoid actually hitting the pig, but he crashes into the mud and slop as a bigsplash of it cascades across the pen. Those paying attention notices it's just an act.

Xellos is disappointed and filthy, but snaps into a slim piece of jerky from his pack.
Frandal weaves to the crowd and jumps into the fence! Instead of start chasing the pig right away he calls it and let the animal interest in the elf. Then he tries to grab and lift it but the pig had ghis own ideas and the elf ends in the mud laughing and starts chasing it!
Kurt lets out a whoop and chases the pig around. Kurt smiling and laughing. No sense of the darkness that haunts him is seen as he is chasing the squirmy pig around
Ozum is the last competitor in the final competition, and so as soon as he successfully captures the pig, the tournament games come to a close. The crowd applauds all the contestants and eagerly awaits to see who will be crowned as Lord or Lady of the Tournament. The results for this particular event are as follows:
1st place : Arissa Antal & Renzor Smythe - each is awarded 47.5 points, a bottle containing Oil of Slipperiness, and 50 gold pieces (they're splitting the 1st and 2nd place awards)
“Congratulations to all!” Says Frandal to rest, specally to those that he already knows “ It was a nice competition and was a honor to share the arena with such a talented and honorable players! “ Please... allow me to help you with that “ he says to Xellos. He raises his hands and stops, looking at one of the judges sayin “ May I? “
If the judge says it’s ok he will move his hands over Xello’s body and the mud dissapears from his clothes, skin and hair. He turns towards Arissa next “ you cannot go outthere to recover your prices and the cheers of the crowd in such a mess!” He says smiling.
(He will cast Prestidigitation to every one to clean them and finally on himself if the judges allow him to use a little bit of magic)
The tournament officials announce that in a few minutes they will have the final scoring and, therefore, be able to announce the grand prize winners of this year's Tournament of Talisten. You can sense the anticipation in the crowd, as well as overhear many of them talking about which competitor they believe earned the most points. The wait is slightly longer than expected, but eventually the captain of the Talisten guard climbs the stairs of the main stage with a regally-dressed elderly man who makes the following announcement.
"Citizens and Friends of Syndaris, as Chancellor of Talisten, I thank you for your participation and celebration of these tournament games that are held in honor of the original Windhovers. The competition was fair, fun, and marked by good sportsmanship...exactly as it should be. Contestants, I thank you for your noble competitive spirit, and you are more than welcome to join the games again next year. It is now my honor to announce the grand prize winners."
He pauses, puts on his spectacles, and looks at a small piece of parchment that has been handed to him by the captain of the guard. "Finishing in third place is Arissa Antal." The announcement is followed by cheers and applause and Arissa receives several pats on the back and a few congratulatory handshakes.
The chancellor continues, "In second place, only four and a half points behind the leader, is Frandal Silvereyes!" The crowd again cheers, applauds, and many people gather round Frandal to express their praise.
"And this year's first place finisher--who will be crowned as LORD of the TOURNAMENT--is Kurt Stoneseeker!" The cheers and applause grow even louder, and Kurt is surrounded by people who want to shake his hand and offer congratulations. The Chancellor then motions for Kurt to stand with him on the main stage, where he receives a modest but well-crafted silver crown. The Chancellor places the crown and Kurt's brow, and the crowd erupts in its final display of adoration for the tournament champion. The Chancellor then explains that the three grand prize winners may walk over to the main tent where Sariel Sunshimmer will meet them for the awarding of their prizes.
Kurt, Arissa, and Frandal: Upon entering the main tent you see Sariel with two guards standing by a table with the array of prizes from which you may choose. Kurt, as the champion, will choose first; Frandal may then choose next, followed by Arissa. Sariel smiles warmly at all of you and expresses her gratitude for the part you have played in making the tournament a success. She then tells you what the items are on the table before you:
Ring of Protection (claimed by Frandal Silvereyes)
Stone of Good Luck (Luckstone) (claimed by Arissa Antal)
Longsword +1
Shortsword +1
Mace +1
Scimitar +1 (claimed by Kurt Stoneseeker)
Rapier +1
Shield +1
Kurt, Frandal, and Arissa, please post in this thread which item you select; there's only one of each (Kurt first, Frandal second, Arissa third). Thanks!
Kurt who is overwhelmed that he won overall. Shakes everyone hand. Thanks Frandal for cleaning his clothes, is smiling as wide as he can.
Walks in the tent and chooses the scimitar. "This sword looks amazing, I think this will improve my ability to wield 2 weapons at once. Been struggling with that for a while"
