“If Kubrithani has, indeed, returned, and is the one that the voice was refering in the poem of your dream, we indeed face a terrible enemy. If had three of the fragments and the aid of Arconious, all Syndaris is in dare danger. But fortunately we have reacted sooner that they expected I think, and the destruction of one of Arconius vessels will hinder them at least for a time. “
He nods at Ozum statement.
“You are right but I am afraid that our enemies hide into the Shadowfell, that’s why they are opening portals near their intended targets and a safe place to muster their undead forces without noticing by the good people of Syndaris. “
He turns towards the Windhovers
“Speaking of wich, shouldn’t we warn the populace? Have them ready for an attack? I fear that they launch a surprise attack with undeads and provoke a lot of damage. Surely nobody would listen to us, complete strangers, but they will listen to you. My only fear if we do this is that the enemy will launch his attack as we are getting ready, for the moment we do this, it would be a race to seize power. “
After the answers over this matter Frandal will come back to ponder Ozums idea
” Does anyone has the capabilty to track and locate objects? And to scry? Perhaps if we search for the objects they took, or another object you know that Arconius has, apart from his staff, that could help us lcoate them and try to recover the lost fragments and destroy them.”
Bharash speaks. "You are right, Ozum. Finding Arconius is vital. This fiend that Thoradin encountered is equally concerning, but until more is known of it I see little we can do to identify it or find it."
Bharash then looks at Frandal and says, "I have met Arconius; so, Scrying might work if he is on this plane. If you'll pardon me for a moment..."
Bharash exits the room and returns a minute later with a small, elaborate, finely-crafted silver mirror, which he sets on the table. He then asks to have Arconius' staff placed on the table before him as he gazes into the mirror while slowly and rhythmically passing his hands back and forth over the glassy surface. "Entalia eosir maragh," he mutters softly, repeating the phrase twice more. Bharash then stares silently into the mirror for several minutes, wholly focused on what the spell might be revealing to him. The look on the wizard's face is cryptic; you cannot tell if he has succeeded in locating the lich...
Finally, Bharash speaks. "Arconius is in Talisten! I have just watched him wander up and down some of the city streets before crossing over Silverthread Bridge; he was headed southward. Oddly enough, he is invisible, but the scrying spell allowed me to follow him as he walked about. He said nothing, spoke to no one, and appears to be completely alone."
Arissa starts fiddling with her luckstone. "Is there any way we can get there before him?

"Sariel, I have heard of powerful druidic magic able to bend time and space through the innate connection plants share. Do you currently have the ability to harness such magic?"
Ozum: Sariel replies, "Yes, fellow druid, I know precisely what you're referring to. I have established a connection with a large tree on the banks of the Silverthread, just west of Talisten. When in need of haste, I have used Transport via Plants to reach the city. If all of us act quickly, we can make use of the spell and be in Talisten in less than twenty minutes."
Bharash responds, "Facing a former Windhover--and one who's now a lich--in the middle of the city. This could be very interesting."
Sariel speaks again. "If we are prepared, we can make use of the tree just behind the inn."
"We must hurry." Arissa paces, waiting for the others.

Bharash says, "Agreed, Arissa. There's no time to waste. Let's remember that Arconius is familiar with each one of us. Anything we can do to alter our appearance or remain out of sight should be considered."
Arissa casts invisibility on Ozum just before they leave.

"Thank you Arissa. I can turn back into a spider once we are there. Otherwise I don't know how we'll see him." Ozum positions himself by the tree giving Frandal a slight tug on his belt to let him know he's there.
Xellos says to Bharash and Sariel, "Not to worry. Arissa and I have a *fool proof* idea for a disguise. If need arises." He says with a wink.
"Don't fret. We beat him once. Even if he is stronger, or has help, then we will still find a way and beat him again! I'll getting fired up! Let's go!" He casts Minor Illusion to create two watermelon sized fireballs in his hands, then flexes his right arm!

Everyone: You gulp down your last bits of food and drink and then follow Sariel as she exits The Mug and Platter by the rear exit. As you approach a small, leafless oak tree, Sariel explains, "The effects of this conjuration are short-lived. As soon as I cast the spell and step into the tree and disappear, each of you must do the same very quickly. We will reappear in the woods to the west of Talisten. I am confident we'll be unseen and safe there."
Sariel then touches the bark of the oak tree several times, making some sort of invisible pattern while she utters a few words. The tree becomes eerily translucent ; then Sariel vanishes into it. The rest of you quickly follow. No longer are you standing behind the inn in Findric. You now stand in the midst of a grove of conifer trees, and you hear the sound of rushing water to your left. Looking through the maze of tree trunks, you can see the Silverthread River flowing toward Talisten. You estimate that you'll be at the southern gate in five minutes or less. The sun is nearing the tops of the Corvus Mountains behind you; so, an hour or so of daylight remains.
Making use of the druidic Wild Shape ability, Sariel suddenly turns into a jay. Bharash then says, "Invisibility seems prudent for a while." He then vanishes, but you hear his voice again. "We'll exit these woods near the old Talisten cemetery; we can follow the cemetery road toward the south gate."

Ozum will transform into a invisible giant spider and keep a lookout for any invisible creatures as he begins makes his way to the gate with the group.
Xellos says, "I believe Bharash has the right idea."
Xellos (not invisible) walks up to the invisible Ozum spider, feels around, "May I?" then climbs on top of his abdomen, moving through the air on his own as he sits atop the moving (invisible) spider.
"Arissa are you able to make yourself invisible?"
He takes out an eyelash with a clear coating then says, "Light bender."Invisibility (4th lvl)
Frandal and Kurt are invisible (saving the last instance of Invisibility for a moment, pending Arissa's response)
Xellos is quite content to remain visible as he moves effortlessly through the air atop Ozum.
Everyone:Sariel, in the form of a jay, distances herself from all of you as she flies toward the city. You surmise she's surveying what might lie ahead. Bharash speaks, saying "Entering Talisten undetected is vital; I'd prefer that the guards themselves do not know of our presence." WIth a curious and slightly amused expression on his face, he looks at Xellos, who appears to be hovering effortlessly a few feet above the ground. He then says, "We have three priorities, I believe, as soon as we enter the city. In addition to warning Kempis, we must warn and protect the Chancellor. Thirdly, of course, is Arconius. We'll rejoin Sariel after passing through the south gate and determine which of us will go where."
DM wants to make sure he's on the same page with everyone. Upon reaching the south gate, the seven party members are as follows, correct?
Sariel - in the form of a jay
Bharash - invisible
Kurt - invisible (complements of Xellos)
Frandal - invisible (complements of Xellos)
Ozum - invisible (complements of Arissa) and in the form of a giant spider
Arissa - visible and on foot
Xellos - invisible and riding atop invisible-Ozum-spider
Lastly, the giant spider has blindsight but not truesight; so, I don't believe that the spider (Ozum) can see anything or anyone that's invisible
