Frandal:Your shadow once again disappears into a silvery mist and then dashes off to the north, where you lose track of him because your view is obscure by the shape of the rock formation.
Everyone:Each of your shadows has distanced itself from the arena of battle. You neither see nor hear any of them at the moment.
Xellos, relieved that the fight seems to be over, turns as he and his 3 duplicates all say to Arissa, "Why did you not attempt to help us? What is wrong?"

”No we didn’t Arissa. Listen to me... we need you... we need our friend and ally to survive this. I know that this isn’t you, you have a vibrant, fiery sound inside you. It’s just this place but you cannot let it get into you... you are stronger than that. Come back to us Arissa. We need you.”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Thoradin walks over to where all of you are standing and says, "That was nasty business, and I'm not optimistic about our chances of avoiding them in the future." He then casts Mass Healing Word. "Let's see if I can give everyone a bit of help." (Hit points gained by everyone: 16)
Sariel--in the form of a bat--flutters in and looks at Arissa. "I've heard the Shadowfell can do strange things to a person's thoughts. Our bard may be feeling a bit hopeless."
With the storm cloud still raging Ozum flutters over and looks at Arissa with a frown. "Sadly, she's probably the one of us best suited to lift someone out of a funk like that."
If there are no time objections, Ozum will spend 11 minutes casting commune with nature to determine the terrain, prevalent peoples, and the presence of powerful undead within 3 miles.
Thoradin blurts out, "Hopeless she is, eh? Feeling despair no doubt. Let's see about this." He then utters a few words and passes his hand over the top of Arissa's head, casting Calm Emotions. "That may do it," he says.
Arissa:
DC 17 Charisma save if you don't want to have the apathy removed. You can, however, choose to fail the saving throw (and thereby become your usual charming, go-getting self) :D
Terrain: The bizarre rock formations through which you have been traveling will end abruptly, in approximately two miles, because a massive chasm of some sort cuts across the land. The chasm is several hundred feet wide and spanned by a strange, spiderweb-like network of extremely narrow stone bridges.
Prevalent peoples: There is only one. On the far side of the chasm is an old human female.

"This is a strange place. The only other person nearby is up ahead across a massive chasm. Maybe she has something to do with these dark reflections of ourselves."
Xellos says, "Already drank my potion, unless we're resting for a bit. I wouldn't want to drink all the couple remaining ones. I certainly wish I knew healing magic at-will." He shrugs
I assume we don't have the luxury right now of a short rest at the moment.
Either way, Xellos is at 42/62 so he is willing to press on if everyone else is ready

Sariel speaks up. "Agreed, Xellos. If we can press on, then I say we must do so. Bharash's fate may yet be in our hands. Can you check the compass needle? Making sure we're headed in the correct direction?"
Thoradin adds, "Knowing the time of day is rather challenging here, but I figure another few hours will take us to night. We'll need to sleep then. Let's cross this strange chasm that Ozum has told us about. Then we'll see about finding a place to rest."

(Thus ends round 4 of combat)
Frandal goes back with the others.
”They are gone.. but they can come back at any moment.”

Frandal kneels in front of Arissa.

“Can’t any type of magic help her?”
(Arcana check? 15)
(Edit: No... no magic can help her and we all are going to die!! XD)

Via your commune with nature spell you are able to determine the following:
"Why, thank you very much, kind Master Thoradin!" With a hop and a skip, she jumps up and creates a swirl of bright colour above her. (minor illusion)

"We should go and check then.. the sooner we get out of here, the better" says Frandal.

Xellos (in response to Arissa earlier) still bloodied and charred from nearly being one-shot by lightning says, "Not exactly, no."
He does feel better at receiving healing from Thoradin and after Arissa's emotions are calmed.
"Agreed. We're definitely pushing our luck here and shouldn't stay longer than needed."
