The farmboy's eyes widened at the kenku's transformation, then he smiled. This might actually be easier than he thought! But still...

"I'll get Tilsu. Even if she's busy, she should at least know what we're discussing." With that he headed back to the dining area to look for their companion.

Roland came back into the back room and shrugged. "Didn't spot her. Maybe she headed out someplace to find more info? Either way, we might want to scout out the prison before nightfall... provided it's not so isolated that passers-by would look suspicious?" He looked toward Leanne to see if she knew the answer.

"No its not isolated. There are people passing by regularly to get to their homes." Says Leanne

Twig shoves the rest of the fish in her mouth then exclaims, "Well?! What are we waiting for?!"

Tilsu hands the waiter a gold, "Thank you," She sets an extra gold piece for the waiter, "A tip." She turns back to the couple, "Ah, but the tribe isn't a problem or anything, yes? Just asking as I saw a wanted poster on the way here or is it a new arrival like myself?"

"Rest some first if possible. Still recovering from boat. Scout though. Learn." Zhernon gave the girl a nod and looked back at the others expectantly.

(( I've no problem with rest, but I thought we had a long rest on the boat? Edit: Yeah, posts 189 & 190. Do we still want a break before heading to the prison? ))

(Oh, somehow I missed that. Just ignore the rambling of the bird man. :D)

Leanne closes the door to the backroom as she leads the 3 out back into the common room.

The Elderly wife leans in and says "No that man is a local. His name is Jaylin Deepblight. A nefarious man wanted for kidnapping a little girl. Oh her poor mother must be so distraught. My heart goes out to her. Now this is just a rumor but I hear the mother is a Yampra tribesmen."

"But we just rested!" Twig whines when the bird man mentions rest.  Then her eyes light up, "I did hear a few things earlier. Apparently some adventurers went missing, and there is a reward out for some guy who kidnapped someone. I didn't hear anything about a sleeping lady though."

Roland craned his neck a bit. "Ah, there's Tilsu," he said. As he, Twig and Zhernon headed toward the door, he tried his best to catch the yuan-ti's attention and gesture that they were heading out.

Tilsu spots Roland and gives a slight nod to the couple, "I'm sorry but I'm afraid I must be going now. My companions have need of me although feel free to take my meal as way of thanks. I bid you both a good night." She gets up and moves to follow the group. 

Once Tilsu joined them, Roland filled her in on everything Leanne had told them, and their makeshift plan to scout and then sneak into the jail. "Zhernon does have some illusory magic that may help," he stated as they walked toward their destination. "Although it'll still be risky." He paused a bit before continuing, "Anyway, that's what we discovered. Did you find out anything useful?"

"Not so much, but I do have have another way in. If we capture the wanted person, we'll have a reason to be inside the prison." She suggests, "It will also let us get close to whoever is holding the keys."

The group move apace with the other people intent on going home and soon sees the fortified prison looming ahead as you talk about possible plans.

The sun has set and the sky is colored in swaths of purple and oranges. You hear the sounds of hundreds of crickets chirping

Twig giggles at the sunset, "Looks like it's going to be a good night to sneak around." She has to stop herself from running toward the prison. Looking at Tilsu she says, "Wait, you want to kidnap a kidnapper? Then throw him in jail? So we aren't seeking in yet?"

Zhernon finds moving along the coastal lands easy and is able to guide the others to some degree. "Night. Dark. Yes, good sneaking. Find the captain. Zhernon be the captain."

Roland shrugged. "Capturing the wanted man would make getting in easier, but finding him would take more time. I'm not opposed to it. Maybe we can use it as a backup plan if we have to abort sneaking in tonight?"

"It's not like we're in a hurry. I'd rather try to catch a wanted man than improvise an rescue in the middle of town." Tilsu says. Then she looks to Twig, "Scouting for an entrance would go doubly well if we can take a look inside as well, no? Besides, even if we don't find him, we can fake finding him."

Roland glanced at the others, a bit confused. Then his eyes lit up. "Why not just bring the man in right now? See, he's already right here!" He waves toward Zhernon. "Our friend here can look like anyone needed. If we turn him in now, we can have Delbyn out by breakfast!"
