(( Roland will look around the communal room for anything that could be used to engage someone else in conversation... a pack of playing cards, a newspaper lying on the table, flyers about wanted criminals, anything.
"Thanks and here you can take my coffee." She sets the mug down for the clerk, "Hey, if you're not going for a drink, then can you come help me look as well." She calls out to Zhernon.
She'll head down and give a wave to the guards beyond the gate, "Hey, can you let me through? Jath sent me but couldn't find the key."
(( Roland sits down with his coffee, opens the pack of cards and sets the deck in front of him, acting as if he's simply on break. He then looks over the wanted poster for details of the incident, a description of the accused, and the reward for capture. ))
The guard at the desk in the basement prison stands "That is odd. Jath is usually so organized. Well come on through" He has a keyring with several keys on his belt. He picks the 3rd key and opens the 2 gates that lead to his desk. "Now its too early for shift change, so what brings you down here?'
Roland looks over the wanted poster and the reports attached. Avlay and her daughter Elsie came to Shardbreak to sell their animal pelts and herbs. Avlay was tending to a customer and turned to find her daughter missing. Avlay reported she saw the culprit carrying her unconscious daughter away from a distance towards the Black Ring district, before she lost sight of them as they blended into the crowd. In her search she starting breaking into peoples homes and places of business. The guards had to restrain her and take her to guard post #12 in the High Bridge district until she calmed down.
The man Jaylin Deepblight is wanted with a payout of 500 gold for capturing him and returning the daughter or 200 gold for bringing him back dead. A bonus would be given by the Yampra Clan if Elsie is brought back safe and sound.
He worked as a seller of nautical equipment and his shop called Deepblight's Emporium is also in the Black Ring District. It was searched but no sign of Jaylin Deepblight or Elsie.
The guard takes a closer look at Tislu "Were you here during the day shift? Can I get your name" He glances back at the desk with the duty roster on it.
"The name is Quinn but I wasn't here for today. Was here a couple days ago, I think that's when I may have lost it. Besides, I'm only going to check the storage area or the kitchen. Unless you think one of the prisoners found it and has it."
The guard says "Well go ahead and check the storage and kitchen, but I highly doubt the prisoners have it."
(There needs to be a sizable distraction as the guard will see Twig when Tislu and Zhernon moves off to check the other rooms. He will lock the gates before heading back to his desk)
As Roland looked over the wanted paper, several key points caught his attention. If they weren't in a hurry to just leave the island, this might make an interesting case to try to solve, he thought; as it was though, he'd be perfectly happy just getting Delbyn (or his info) and getting away.
He stood and poured himself another cup of coffee before walking to the doorway and standing there awhile, just listening for any distant animal sounds. After a few moments, he decided to at least try to passively corral any straggling guards; he sat back down and began playing a solitary game with the deck of cards. He also put his (depressingly light) pouch of coins on the table as well, to act as enticement to any guards loitering nearby.

Twig was able to make it past the clerk unseen as she was busy talking with the others and looking for a key.
Roland finds an old deck of cards left forgotten on the bookshelf and a wanted poster of the man who kidnapped a young girl
Twig will hide and wait for at least one of the others to make it past the clerk.

"Actually just came down to look for my amulet I lost. I've searched my home but didn't find anything so retracing my steps." She says.
(Do I have roll for the same lie?)
(Yes please roll Deception Check)
Twig will try to dart around the guard when he is distracted.

(There would need to be a bigger distraction as this is an empty area except for the guard and the desk.)

Tilsu will use thaumaturgy to make all the torches in the room dim down as the guard lets her through.
The guard looks at the torches "What going here" It distracts the guard, giving enough time for Twig to quickly moves and hide somewhere.
As soon as they look away Zhernon will move with Tilsu toward the cells and whisper, "Which one?"
There is a locked gate before the prison cells and you can hear footstep from the guards in the prison cell area.
