A 3 guards come in for a coffee break. Roland you noticed their clothes are wet as it has begun to rain. The guards shake off the access water and grab a cup of coffee. They then take a seat at the communal table. One of the guards looks at Roland "So are you taking shelter from the rain too"
The farmboy shook his head. "Nah, heading home soon,"he said without elaboration. "But I was reeeeally hoping for a game or two before I had to leave." He held up his coin purse and shook it. "Any of you up for a quick one? Just don't send me home penniless, eh?" he added.
"Sure, I am always game. Come lads lets have some fun"says the guard. So the 3 guards join in for a game of cards.
(So I will decide who wins is by rolling 1d20 for each guard. Roland you can roll for yourself. Whoever has the highest wins. Now you can also win if you bluff them with a deception check or plain cheat with a sleight of hand check. If you win you will get triple of the bet you put in the pot)
Tilsu heads for the storage area in the prison. She whispers to Zhernon, "Not yet, we still need the keys...if we don't find any spares here we'll take it from the guard." She starts to look inside the rooms, seeing if there's anyone else or keys of the like.
The storage rooms has different cleaning and maintenance supplies. Extra prison cell doors and cots. If you open the door to the bedroom then you will see a young guard writing a letter.
Zhernon looks around a bit and then begins patting themselves a bit and suddenly remembers the thing they picked up the other night. "This work?" They held it out for Tilsu.
Roland grinned as he collected his winnings, then bet 4 silver on the next hand. He glanced toward the door, hoping the others had gone undiscovered so far....
The locked gates stand in your way and you also hear the footsteps of the guards on patrol among the prison cells. The guard returns to his desk giving him a clear view of the hallway.
Twig will duck into one of the rooms just before the guard goes back to the desk. Silently huffing, she waits for her companions to pave the way for her.
Tilsu checks the key and nods, "Looks like it'd work for the first two gates, but we don't know about the next two...we could just lure him here to storage. Knock him out here and take his keys." She takes a sponge and casts light on it, making it glow a eerie red.
