Roland jumps up, forcing his genuine worry into a look of even greater concern. "What's going on? What's happening?"

"Someone tried to escape. I gotta wake the Warden upstairs. Can you help check the rooms downstairs for any accomplices" says the guard

The guards playing cards also stand "We need to go. The Warden will tan our hide if he finds us away from our post." The 3 guards quickly heads out the front door.

"Got it!" replied the farmboy as he ran past the guard and downstairs, praying that none of them had actually been caught.

The gates are left ajar as the guard was in a hurry. Towards the prison cells Roland sees Tilsu and hears the other guard searching the storage rooms.

Roland rushed toward Tilsu. "What's going on?" he whispered. "Did we find our guy? Or are we just trying to escape uncaught? It'll take him a second to grab the warden, if we need to leave, we need to do it now."

Tilsu will pull Roland into the prison room, "Then help them get him out or help me." She says as she locks the gate and starts to weave a blanket through it. She then pulls out a tinderbox, getting ready to set the blanket on fire.

The farmboy looked back up, and silently commanded his unseen servant to come down before he got too far. He then turned around, and after a moment spotted Zhernon and Twig. He raced to them, quickly asking in a low voice, "How many other guards are down here? Can we get our target first, or do we just need to run?"

Tilsu will check for guards before running down lane 1 and 2 for anyway out. 

Perception: 8

(Basically looking for that manhole cover Twig found.)

Zhernon points to the beat up man in the back. "That's him, we should get him and get out now, we won't get another chance like this."

"Uh, i think they all left." Twig looks around, "If we hurry, we can get the guy out. Come on!" She pushes past Zhernon and rushes to the cell.

(Go ahead and just use my last roll for thieves tools)

The lock  of the cell door clicks open. The elderly man looks at Twig with suspicion. He is also chained quite thoroughly to the wall from his manacles around his wrists

Twig takes no notice to the man's suspicious look, and continues to walk up to him. "You're the storyteller guy right? Well we need you to tell us about some sleeping lady so that we can give her coin back. So we are going to get you out of here. You just gotta hurry once i get you unchained." She says in a cheerful but quiet voice as she starts picking the locks on the manacles.

Twig tries to unlock the manacles, but can't quite get it to unlock.

(The group may also try to break the chains. AC 18 HP 5)

"Yes I am the storyteller" He studies Twig "Who are you?" he says in a whisper.

Everyone hears the warning bell ring and a person barking orders. The warden begins his decent down the stairs.

Roland's heart sank as he heard the bell. He ran after Twig toward the prisoner, summoning his sword as he did. It was then that he saw that the young elf was still struggling with the manacles.

"Let me try," he said hurriedly as he motioned for Twig to back away. Once she did, he took his sword in both hands and swung to bring it down on the chain holding Delbyn.

Tilsu hurries back to the gate, striking up a fire onto the blanket.

Roland's strike snaps the chain and they fall with a clatter. Delbyn shakily stands and a look of fear grips his face "Oh no the Warden comes. We must flee."

The blanket blazes as the fire spread. The warden shouts "Stamp out that fire this instance you fools". Through the burnt holes of the blanket you can see the warden making his way to the prison cells with 4 guards in tow.

(Reminder there is a manhole cover down at the end of lane 2. Its quite rusty, but can be opened with athletics 17 or you can have advantage if someone helps or has a crowbar)

The other prisoners start railing against the bars of their cells after waking from all the commotion "Let us out" They scream

"Please tell me there's another way out of here," Roland pleads to Twig as they usher Delbyn out the cell. "Otherwise this is going to get pretty messy."

Once the old man is free Twig motions for the others to follow her, "Quick this way!" she runs to lane 2 and points out the manhole. Once there, she grabs it and starts yanking on it. (she will help whoever tries to do it.)
