"Ish?" Twig replies, before cheerfully continuing. "We just have to get a cursed coin back to a sleeping lady so that we can go home. Apparently our ship's captain was cursed, which made us cursed as soon as we got on his ship, so now we have to break the curse because the captain is to lazy to do it himself."
"May I see the coin?" asks Delbyn. He rummages through the items on the table and finds a pair of thick blue leather gloves. He puts them on and you see a faint glow of runes on them.
Roland had been silent up to this point, but it hadn't passed his notice how the man had snapped to start a fire. And now, as he pulled on his gloves, the glowing runes also caused him to reconsider the storyteller.
Still, he looked toward the others, and waited for the coin to be produced before asking any questions.
"How amazing it has returned to this island. This comes from a time long past. There was a nomadic clan, called the Bhar who would wander the seas. They were true masters of the elements. The story goes that King Adverd wanted their skills for himself. He tricked the Bhar clan by promising that he found one of their ancestors relics. Through dark sorcery he trapped them here on this island. Enraged the Bhar clan fought and a war erupted. The war lasted for years and had taken a terrible toll. What you see here in Shardbreak is all that is left of King Adverd's legacy. The few surviving Bhar clansmen went into hiding. From time to time explorers would find a Bhar ruin, but never the people. She who slumber is their queen Madriga. The tale goes that if you find her that she would be willing to grant you a wish, but betrayal would result in a torment worse than death"says Delbyn. The coin glows an angry red and the runes on the gloves seem to suppress it somehow. "You need to return this to Madriga. Your right its cursed. Your captain must have broken a promise."
"This is also why i was imprisoned. I wonder if Madriga is awake. That would be disastrous. To stop the war King Adverd gave his life to put Madriga into a deep sleep. Even in sleep she is aware somehow, but restrained"
"Soooooo. Where is she?" Twig asks in a bored voice. So far this man had only elaborated on the information they already knew. Didn't he know anything else?
Roland shook his head somewhat skeptically at the tale. "Look, old man, I'll admit I'm kind of curious as to your part in all this. You clearly have magical ability, making you a 'master of the elements,' and you seem to know an awful lot about this Madriga and her Bhar clan even for a storyteller." He eyed the man suspiciously.
"But you're not being very clear on exactly who the good guys are in your story. When we run across this sleeping queen, if she DOES wake up, can we expect a few wishes, or will she need to be put down?"
"People are usually shades of grey. It is up to you to decide what to do, if you meet Madriga. I am not from the Bhar clan... well sort of. You see even in times of war, love blossoms. The children of such a union became outcasts and together they formed the Yampra tribe. Yes I am a Yampra tribesman and these stories were passed from one generation to the next."says Delbyn
Twig catches the coin, then gives the old man a flat look when he continues to give not-answers. "You sure are full of answers. How do you know putting blood on this doesn't like... I don't know... permanently curse you? Or give you a blood curse? Or make you the sleeping lady's slave or something?"
"You are already cursed. What assurances can I give you beyond what I just told you. You either trust what I said or don't that is your choice"says Delbyn
Twig rolls her eyes, "Soooo helpful." she says. "Eh, what have i got to lose."With that she bites her finger to make it bleed and wipes the blood on the coin.
The coin floats up about an inch from Twigs hand. The Blood pools together and forms a needle pointing towards the Northeast. Twig sees a vision of a massive grotto lined with statues of warriors, deep in the jungle. The vision ends and the coin falls back into Twig's hand.
"I sure hope not," sighed the farmboy. "If this lady can grant wishes, I sure wouldn't want to be on her bad side!"
He then turned toward Twig as she snapped out of her vision, and watched her with curiosity as she came to. "We saw the general direction to head," he started,"but hopefully you saw something a little more useful?"
"Are you working for someone?" ask Delbyn as he sits down.
This is Delbyn

Tilsu looks about the house, "The guards don't know of your home...yes?" She shrugs for a moment before showing the coin on her wrist.
"The guards may know of this place, but I have my own defenses if they are foolish enough. Now can you give the coin?" ask Delbyn
"Give him the coin." Zhernon says with much practicality.
Tilsu takes the coin off and tosses it to Deblyn.

Delbyn tosses the coin to Twig "Here put some blood on it and it will be your compass"
