Tilsu continues onward, heading to a more open part of the town (Near C). He looks for sailors or dock workers that seem off the clock and enjoying drinks.
The grilling food vendor says "That'll be 3 silvers"She then hands 5 shish kebabs to Roland. As she was putting away the coin she sees a sneaky hand grab a shish kebab. She slaps Twig's hand with her tong and yells "Thief"The crowds turns to see what is the commotion is and off in the distance you see the guards wearing red arm bands heading straight for for the group.
Tilsu heads off to the Black Ring district. She pasts by residences and finds it quieter here than the docks. She sees several people relaxing after a long days work. Some are indeed sailors telling bawdy jokes. At C she sees a fortified outpost with red flags waving from the top.
Zhernon hears the sudden commotion at the market and zips over to investigate, spying Twig in the middle of it all. They would try and get as close to her and the vendor as possible to intercede on her behalf, albeit with a rather scolding look on their face towards her at first, if such can be discerned from a kenku. "Wait. Not worth it. How much?" They chortled at the vendor, pointing to the stick of food.
Roland paid the vendor, then looked surprised and stepped aside when she caught Twig. He began munching on his food as the guards approached, as if he was merely another member of the crowd. It wasn't just that he thought the youth needed a lesson in not stealing, but he was also curious to see how she handled herself. If she could evade the guards, she might actually not need her hand held the whole adventure.
Zhernon will hand over 2 gold pieces and take Twig back as soon as possible, holding her by the arm for a moment and then walks off to look for Tilsu and this tavern they were supposed to find. "Not good. Little one. Dangerous." They relaxed their grip on Twig and looked at her now with more sympathetic eyes.
The farmboy's eyebrows went up as the kenku took out two gold, paid for the girl, then hurried her off down the road. He was a little disappointed--not that he'd wanted the elf girl to actually go to jail, but he had been looking forward to watching the antics of a chase. But more importantly, it seemed that the bird-creature was quite protective of her.
"Or maybe he just pays to keep all his companions out of jail," he thought, as he went for another bite and his teeth hit wood. He looked down, a bit stunned to realize he'd already finished all five skewers of meat. Sighing, he tossed the sticks into a rubbish basket near the vendor, then followed along after the others.
Twig had been preparing to put on her usual act if she had been caught, and if that didn't work, she was prepared to run. Only to have Zhernon give the vendor gold and yank her away. She was to shocked to object until the kenku had pulled her a good distance down the road. Once they stop she looks up at him in confusion. "Why did you do that? I could have handled that myself. I wouldn't have lasted this long if I couldn't get myself out of trouble." She shakes her head, "I don't understand." She had never had anyone pull her out of trouble in that way. Sure, she had guilt tripped a few nobles to pay for her food before, but as far as she knew she hadn't done anything to make Zhernon care about her.
"Churning Barrel? The sailors on my ship had said that's the place to go for a good drink and good stories." Tilsu returns the smile, "I'd be grateful for your help."
The vendor takes the gold and waive off the guards.
The sailor stumbles a bit and spits onto the road. Tilsu can smell alcohol clinging to the sailor. She points to the north west "Head that way and look for a large barrel. That be the tavern ya looking for"
(For Zhernon, Twig, Roland do you ask for directions or will you look for the tavern on your own?)
(( Honestly, Roland is in no particular hurry. Unless one of the others suggests it, he'll be just fine with wandering the streets and exploring the town until they stumble on it. ))
Tilsu gives a bow of her head, "Thank you." She heads off down the street while taking a bit of a closer look at the outpost as she passes it. Mostly looking for anything that may of be of interest later.
Zhernon looked at Twig for a long moment again, their head cocking this way and that, eyes darting back and forth between Twig and the crowd they had just left. "You can. Doesn't mean should, young one." They let go completely, "We are needed. Come." They turned to walk off towards the others in a slow but steady pace.
Twig continues to look at Zhernon in confusion until he starts walking off. As he does so, she shrugs then shamelessly starts eating the meatstick she is still clutching as she chases after the kenku.
(Twig isn't going to ask for directions, but if one of the others asks she will follow them.)
Zhernon walks cautiously, keeping their eyes open for more danger while looking for the others. Spying Tilsu and the rather rowdy place, they approach up alongside them and look it over. "This? It? Careful we are." They then look back to see if Twig is still following behind.
Roland smiled at the noise coming from inside the tavern. "Could be my kind of place," he murmured, recalling wild nights spent innocently with friends over ale in his hometown. But the kenku was right... they should probably watch their backs inside.

Tilsu heads to a sailor, "Excuse me, but could you help me for a moment? I'm looking for a tavern but I am new to town." She asks.
The vendor looks to Zhernon "That'll cost you 1 gold to get this girl out of trouble"
The sailor gives Tilsu a lopsided grin and slurs when she speaks "What .... tavern you be seeking"

Tilsu heads to the northwest and soon sees a vary large barrel next to a raucous tavern with revelers enjoying the drinks.
(Will be traveling for short while.)
Tilsu will wait outside for the others, before going in.
