The rest of the evening is uneventful, and in the morning the three companions continue on their journey to Phandalin. The travel for the day is brief, and you all arrive in town in the early afternoon.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

OOC: Hmm. I'll walk you through this sometime when we can chat on the phone. Odds are it's a simple solution. Are you doing this on your phone or laptop? If it's phone, is it mobile view, or Desktop view?
Alrighty, so you generally don't notice much of anything at all, happily skipping along to your destination thinking about how you're going to make that Town Master feel like a schmuck. You enter the Town Master's hall and see your friend at his desk, busy reading once again.
Since the Town Master was busy reading he did not see the orc head fly towards him and knock the book out of his hands as it slams into his chest! Upon seeing that it's a severed head he yells out in surprise and backs away from his desk.
"Why the hell would you do that you big oaf! You've ruined my tunic, and stained my desk and floor. There was no need to be so brutish. This is coming out of your pay! Now remove this disgusting head out of my place of business if you want to get paid at all."
Xanandis you see out of the corner of your eye Tormod putting the palm of his hand over his face and slightly shaking his head. Tormod says under his breath "Really, Xan? Couldn't ye have waited until we had the gold in our hands first?"
"Name calling? Boy your mother sure did tell you what you wanted to hear when you were a wee lad didnt she? Perhaps if she was a bit more mindful of the pies you were eating you would have stayed a bit smaller eh? It appears you fancy the local tavern fare a bit too much. Might I suggest you are in no physical condition to be making such comments to a Palladin and his mates. Now, Im not quite as well read as you i gather, but when i last was researching the word "oaf" it refers to someone who could be considered clumsy. I would very much dislike being clumsy with my dagger. You see i like playing with throwing knives and...
*Suddenly Xan pulls out his dagger and throws it at a nearby wall missing the Town Master however a bit too close for comfort*
"Goodness me! You're right! I am a bit clumsy aren't I!? I mean...such a sharp blade...I dont sharpen it often, only after every kill...had a few recently. In the name of justice of course. Meaning the kills were justified...by me...But i am a good judge of character."
*Xan very slowly and deliberately walks by the Town Master to retrieve his dagger from the wall bumping into the Town Master as he walks by*
"You asked for proof and you have it. If you were expecting something less graphic you should have invoked that large vocabulary of yours. We made a deal and you will keep your end of it otherwise there will be two heads rolling around on the floor, understand?"
"Guards!" the Town Master shouts, and before you have time to act, eight men rush into the room that are wearing breast plate armor and are carrying swords and shields. They look to be well trained based on their stance and formation. When you catch their eye, you see that there is a grim determination there.
"Now then," the Town Master continues, "Our verbal agreement was that you bring back proof of your deeds, NOT assault me with a decapitated head. I could have you arrested and thrown into our jail for that." The Town Master pauses, to see if you understand the gravity of the situation.
"However, I am grateful that you have taken care of a problem that was dangerous to the people in my town. So as agreed upon, here is 100 gp." The Town Master pulls out a sack of gold. He then takes a handful of gold coins out of the sack.
"15 coins for the cost of cleaning up the mess you've created here. That is more than generous. Take it and leave."
The Town Master then ties the sack up and throws it at your feet. It is lands with a thud and jingle from the coins but does not break open.
"Guards please escort these gentlemen out of the building, I have work to do. " he says with a dismissive wave of his hand.
Just as you put your hand on the pomel of your sword, another hand grasps yours and keeps it in place preventing you from drawing your sword. At the same time 8 swords get drawn and pointed at you.
"Right, thank ye for the coin Town Master, we will be on our way. Come brother, we have more important business to attend to." Tormod says, and under his breath he says"Xanandis Grimwarden remember your oath! Don't make me tell our Mother, because you know she would come down here and kick your arse for picking fights with those that cannot defend themselves without help. Now forget this little pissing contest and more on."
You feel your brother's firm grip on your shoulder spin you around and lead you towards the door. Tormod scoops up the bag of gold along the way. You try to pull away, but the grip keeps you firmly in place. You also get a feeling of deja vu, because you know this routine has happened more than once in the past.
OOC: It cannot understand language anymore than a large pet worm.
Then I swing my sword again.
Xanandis makes an attack:
Big ****in' Sword (one-handed attack): 26; Damage: 11 slashing damage
With a final swing, Xanadis cleaves the creature in two. Both halves thrash about for a moment before laying still.
OOC: XP is updated.

OOC: What would you like to do now?
Its time to go see that town master schmuck and get our reward. Might have a word or two with him as well.
As you walk through town a few locals that you have met will nod as you go by, sometimes waving while they continue to work.
