I don't remember this scale mail being quite so heavy. Kliefam looks around and approvingly. I agree, we have made good progress this evening and this area seems nice enough to set up a place to rest.
Perception - 7 - what is the general layout of our surroundings. Terrain type mainly, then any interesting landmarks.
Survival - 10 - What kind of wildlife might stumble upon us in the night?
As everyone settles down for the night and gets ready to relax and sleep, Kliefam seems to walk off for a bit. Your group is off the main road near some Shrubbery. The forest is about 200 ft to your group and the road being another 100. The layout of the land is mostly flat with any change in altitude or hills way beyond line of sight, there is a lightly woodsy area flanking your group and another one in the opposite direction just at the edge of your vision. After looking for tracks you dont seem to find any tracks though there are plenty of owls and varmants around that seem wary of your groups presence. No medicinal Herbs or other alchemical regants.
After everyone sets out for the second day of the trip the weather started to get warmer but the wind was picking up, almost a howl blocking most sounds that arent above a yell. Where this road is you can see forest to your left and grassland all around you. There seems to be a black shape moving towards your groups direction. Its about 5 feet from the forest edge. It will be 60 feet from you in 5 min. The unknown creature seems to walk on all 4s and due to the wind blowing in its direction you see it stop, seemingly catching your groups scent.
What is the shape thats heading towards your group and what does it want?
The creature now closer seems to notice the figure running into the woods 200ft away but theb turns its attention on your group. With the paladin and warlock standing there dumbfounded and only the cleric noticing the creature it continues on its path until it is close enough to your group to notice it.
The black bear rises up on its two back legs and lets out a warning group swiping at the air in front of it clearly antaganized at your group being in its way.
At Kliefam's warning I'm drawn out of my reverie and at the sight of the bear looming in front of us I am aquick to wield axe and shield.
Melora protect us, I say as I move to stand at Kliefams side. Begone beast, we have no desire to shed you blood! Shouting begon over and over as I strike my shield with my axe attempting to scare the bear away.

One of your party members unaware of his suroundings and everything else thats going on keeps walking towards the bear and the bear feels threatened by the warlock moves up quickly and attacks your friend.
The bear swipes with its claws and also tries to wrap its jaws around the neck of the warlock
bite Attack: 18 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
While Galin was meditating, the Old Hag came up in his mind. After his meditation Galin is harried. Constantly going over what happened and trying to see if he should have made the deal. Absent mindedly he picked up his belongings and started on the road. Mindlessly walking into a bear that seemed to come out of nowhere. After almost taking a swipe from the black bear Galin disengages and goes 30 ft away from the bear readying his newfound powers.

The bear stands up growling as the eladrin escapes its grip, A sharp pain hits the bear in its side as a axe sinks into its pelt, its warm blood flowing out profusly, more then likely death by infection in a few weeks from the exposure to the elements. As it retaliates and tries to rip and tear at the paladin in front of it a soothing voice is heard in its head telling it everything will be ok. Bear Wisdom Save3
If it fails: The bear stops and looks at the nature cleric and simply lowers down on all fours almost wincing in pain from the wound and starts licking at it to stop the bleeding uninterested in fighting anymore.
If it passes: The bear angry and seeing red tries to dig its claws deep into the abdomen of the paladin attempting to tear its armor away and its skin. Attack: 6 Damage: 5
At the same time it lunges at the head of its foe going for the neck and shoulder for a bite that will grip its prey so it can later get as many claws it can into its foes chest and legs. Attack: 13 Damage: 5
Seeing the silhouette of the bear take a submissive stance, Chikao sheathes his rapier and walks up to the bear worriedly. Is there anyone with a good medical background? Perhaps you, Kliefeim would be able to treat this bear? I'd feel awful leaving it to slowly die. I don't have much to help with, but my clothes could be used as a makeshift bandage.
Ah, friend. I should have know you had something up your sleeve. It would have been a shame to harm such a creature.
I lower my weapons and turn to Galin. I hope you will be more vigilant in the future, I'm sure that bandits will prove more difficult to deter. Shall we move on, or do you require healing?
Quickly shaking his head Galin puts away his bow. I am sorry friends, I was distracted by old memories. It shant happen again. I am fine Jonjavar, thank you for asking.
The bear seeming no longer interested in standing about starts to walk around with a slight limp as well as sniffing the ground, maybe sniffing near one of your packs.
Do you all think this lad is hungry? Surely we could spare him some rations. I take a serving out from my pack and offer it to the bear. We should head back to camp for the night, don't you all think?

That sounds good to me; I'll prepare what I can with our rations, as far as night watch goes, I can take first shift.
Truth be told, I was kept up worrying about the people I owed in Steamside, hoping that some time alone would calm my nerves.
I have no preference on when I take my turn at watch. Enjoy these hours of rest friends.
After eating my meal I move to the edge of light the fire casts, and take time to pray. After I finish I pick a spot closer in to sleep.
