If you have any question, we would be happy to help you so you could understand and enjoy the game and not having your character being constantly needing healing or barely aiding the group.)

(OOC: Mooseboy997 said the characters should start at level 5. But as I said before, it is ok if you preffer starting at level 1. Maybe we could get you to level up a little bit faster (just as fast as you learn everything) so you can eventually be at the same level of everybody else.)

You all go back to bed.  You wake up, at around 7:00 AM, you go downstairs and have breakfast.  While eating, Lu sais "I know, why those imps were here.  They were trying to kill, Thrax.  I've seen it before, one of my friends, was unjustly given the death sentence.  5 days after he was killed, those same imps, came, and killed, the entire, jury, prosecution, and judge."

 Seri picked up on Thrax’s nervousness  last nightbut decides not to pursue.

”I’m going to see if there is any residual magic in the area. They may have left us a trail to follow. Give me 10 minutes.”

You see mist collect around Seri’s hands forming a book. She sits down and in Draconic you hear her repeat over and over.

”Allow me to pierce the veil and see the unseeable.” 

Seri is casting Detect Magic as a Ritual.

13 Arcana, 14 Investigation

No magic has been left behind, but, they left a small trail, of imp blood.  That does'nt help that much though, because, that ends, right where the portal opened.

“But why did they target me in particular?” Thrax asks while rubbing the areas that were recently healed.

Lu "I don't know, you were a soldier right?  Maybe someone you killed."

“That doesn’t really narrow things down…”

Ruby who has been pondering the conversation ask "Have you ever been had dealings with devils or celestial or items of religious power? Might they be drawn to something you own or a past event?"

“Not that I can recall” says Thrax who, not for the first time, is grateful his Dragonborn appearance because he cannot visibly blush.

“Lu said he had seen it before with an unjust death. Have you knowing or unknowingly been involved in anything unjust or dishonest? My only experiences with demons was nearly having been sacrificed to one a grim ritual which has left me a cursed soul. But prehaps they may have been sent for you if you have been involved in some way with injustice.”

“I’m a soldier, I’ve taken more than my share of lives in my time. But to my knowledge, I never killed anyone unjustly. But I cannot know if every enemy soldier I’ve slain on the battlefield deserved it. Did that man think his cause was just? Did that young warrior barely out of boyhood only attack me out of fear and I had to defend myself? We’re there soldiers who hated the rulers they served and only fought to protect their families from reprisals? Only the gods know the answers. I’m sure at one time I’ve killed all of the above. And witnessed the grim fates of some of my comrades who felt similar. That’s the nature of war. I can only say with honesty that I only killed when I felt it was necessary to protect my home and my people.”

Lu says "actually, these imps are like assassins, they kill for money, if anyone in hell hated you, or thought it was your fault they died, they will have the imps kill you."

“That’s very encouraging,” Thrax says dryly.

Ruby lays a reassuring hand on Thrax’s shoulder and smiles at him. “All we can do is live the best we can and it sounds like you have done that. Does anyone have knowledge of where we should begin look to hunt these seven or how to go about finding them?”

Lu sais "I do, I know how to find Beelzebub"

Thrax immediately tenses physical and his eyes go to the floor. He mumbles/stutters, “Uh th-thanks. I’m not sure what’s happening but I don’t want anyone in danger on my account, so I wonder if it would be safer for me to keep my distance from the group, for your own safety.”
