"They are not. They may be part of the Phandelver Pact but I was not bound to this duty by them. I cannot leave. To do so would mean abandoning my duty and forsaking the Forge of Spells to the undead that threaten it each day," the creature says, still defiant to the party's suggestions.
"But why stay here, depriving the good people of Phandelver a floating lawyer? You plainly know that the Rockseeker's have a legal claim to ownership of the mine, and that those who bound you have abandoned you here. Surely you see that the Rockseeker dwarves aim to restore this place to it's former glory, and eradicate the undead from here permanently. Your service is undoubtedly diligent, but not required any longer."
A shudder washes over the creature as its telepathic voice booms, "Enough of your lies. If you wish to unbind me so badly, then find the ones who placed me in their service. Else, begone, unless you wish to suffer the same treatment as the undead."
"Fine then!" declares Nemean, "I guess we will just have to clear out the rest of the undead from this place ourselves. No help from you! When we come back, you'll be out of a job, and we will be the true protectors of Wave Echo Cave. You will see!" He boldly walks towards the door.

"Do we actually need to get rid of that eye-thingy? If we can convince it we are working here and part of the mine, it might even be useful. Though, still do not see what is so great about that little green flame you call Forge."
"Anyway, if we are going sought - remember about fungus cave, and try to be careful".
"That thing can't be the Forge can it? Surely the Forge of Spells must take up an entire room in a place like this, not just that little thing... Ah, but anyway, I did not think it wise to provoke the beast unnecessarily, perhaps there is something here that will help convince him, or perhaps he will simply have no reason to stay once the undead are defeated?"
He sauntered on casually to the south, but took a more cautious stance and began to prowl after he heard Finna's warning.

Nemean leads the way toward the stairs on the south end of this cavern, and approaching the steps reveals a second stone structure built in the lower end of this massive chamber. This structure is also built to a human size, and its doors are in similar condition to the other; cracked and partially melted. A tunnel leads south out of the cavern, where a dull green glow emanates.
"Pretty sure that green light is the fungus. And that means we cleared out everything except something behind that doors. Can it be the real Forge is locked in there?"Just in case another eye-monster lingering in the room ready to attack, she was pulling (pushing) doors very carefully.
With the rest of the party prepared for trouble, Finna pulls carefully, but is unable to budge either of the doors on this structure. Similar to the higher structure, the iron hinges have partially melted, "sticking" the doors to their frame.
Finna kicked the stack door in frustration: "Stuck fast. I bet there is another eye monster or something as unpleasant. Want to try to open it leave it be?"
The hinges of the door groan and creak, and the door bulges outward to match Thulgrim's strained muscles, but the dwarf is unable to wrench them open, and as his effort is fully exerted, they shift back into place, firmly attached to their frame.
Finna was trying to peek through the crack (Thulgrim did manage to slightly open the doors, right?), but whether she saw anything or not, she suggested the only plan she cold thing about: "Well I can add some horse power to it - literally, if we can fix the rope on the doors, then together we might pull them wide enough to place some stopper - a rock or something."She thought a little more: "But let me try this first - I'll soften the rock around and you move it away, may be we can dig under or around the doors."
Mold Earth at the rock walls around the doors - to make it fall out or in. If that does not work - then rock under the door, so it can be excavated.
An area of the floor beneath the doors gives way to Finna's magic, allowing passage beneath. The party has to crouch beneath the doors, but once on the other side, you are looking up into a room that looks like it was heavily damaged by some sort of destructive blast; dust, ash, walls blackened by fire and heaps of debris lay about the room. The furnishings--tables, chairs, bookshelves, beds--are charred or splintered, but otherwise well preserved. A scorched iron chest stands near the foot of one of the beds. Another stone door is closed along the southern wall.
"The dwarves here sure loved their doors," mumbled Finna. She looked around, kicked some dirt on the floor with her boot, then carefully moved to yet another door and tried to open it.
