At the northern end of the Town Green is Phandalin's only temple, a small shrine made of stones from nearby ruins. Signs and devotions show that it is dedicated to Tymora, goddess of luck and good fortune. The shrine appears to be in the care of a single scholarly acolyte, a young elf woman who smirks when you enter.
"If it isn't the town heroes...I am Garaele, may Tymora smile upon you. Can I help you? If the rumors are true about how well you can handle the Redbrands, perhaps you can help me..." she says.
"Well...I wouldn't dare interfere with anybody ridding this town of the Redbrands, but here is my situation. My superiors in the Harpers asked me recently to undertake a mission that is...delicate, to say the least. There is a banshee in the area to the east, named Agatha. She has been around for ages, and knows the location of the spellbook of the legendary mage Bowgentle. She is a spiteful *****, though, and she did not appear for me when I sought her out. My hope is that adventurers like yourselves could serve as intermediaries by appealing to her vanity."
She hands Tarok a jeweled silver comb, saying, "Since you are not elves, she should appear for you if you can appeal to her vanity. This comb should be worth enough to trade to her for an answer. Of course, I'm not asking this for free...if you get an answer from her about the location of the spellbook, I have three potions of healing which I am willing to part ways with in exchange."
OOC: The location Garaele marks for you is to the east, not far from Old Owl Well where Daran Edermath asked you to investigate rumors of undead.
Nemean approaches the elf and smiles “Hello Garaele, we need healing and restoration to prepare us for the fight against the Redbrands, can you help us? Once we’ve disposed of Glasstaff and his goons we’ll provide any aid we can to you and Tymora“

Garaele thinks for a moment, eventually nodding. "I've long despaired of ever ridding this town of those thugs. Your word is not much to go on by itself, but you do seem to have proven your intentions so far," she says, motioning toward the Sleeping Giant.
She walks into a room in the back of the shrine and comes out holding a potion of healing, which she hands to Nemean. "If this helps you defeat them, I am happy to part ways with it. The other two are yours then if you can appeal to Agatha successfully," she says.

OOC: A potion of healing has no effect on exhaustion, unfortunately. A long rest will reduce exhaustion level by 1 (which will remove exhaustion from Argos and reduce Tarok's to level 1), and resting now to strike the Redbrands at night is possible, but keep in mind that you can only gain the benefits of a long rest once per day, so another long rest won't be possible until the following night.
OOC: I'm counting the last long rest as the previous day's. So you would be able to gain the benefits from a long rest through the day right now. The next long rest you could benefit from would then be the following night.
Garaele thanks you as you leave and hands the jeweled silver comb to Nemean.
The inn is quiet when you enter, lunch having already finished, and it remains quiet and peaceful during your rest.

The common room has filled with the sounds of drunken mirth when you exit your rooms. All eyes are on you and Sildar, and a raucous cheer arises as some of the tables raise their glasses in a toast.
"Seems the word has spread," Sildar says.

Argos speaks up to his fellow party members as the party makes its way through the cheerful establishment, "Quite the warm welcome, eh? We haven't done much more than defeat a few of the ruffians and they already cheer for us. We better head out to the manor as soon as we can, after a bite to eat of course."
Argos enters the common hall, nodding his head and greeting the cheering folk as he makes his way to the bar. He grabs a mug of ale and a meal, sits down to eat, then prepares to head out to the manor (woods entrance).
Cinis nudged Argos and flicked his eyes in the direction of Tarok. The half-orc was still swaying on his feet a bit and looked a bit out of sorts, though the Tiefling doubted he would admit it.

OOC: does the healing potion do anything for Taroks exhaustion or do we need a long rest for that?
If we need more time so he’s not on constant disadvantage we could take 8 hrs and then hit the redbrands at night?
