OOC: Yes, Nix is conscious. That's three times this week that a sheet hasn't kept the updates I've made to it.
The dragon is fleeing at full speed (120 ft/second), so it's either now or never if there's something that someone can do. If not, you have definitely succeeded in chasing it off.
Nix staggers to his feet, "We mustn't let it escape!"
OCC: Apologies for missing a round. I logged into DDB yesterday and checked my notifications and didn't see one for this thread. Thank you DM for botting Nix.
OOC: So using feline agility, Nemean could move 60ft, which puts him 170ft away from the target, which is in range, but at disadvantage for longbow, right? And no way to make up that 20ft other than maybe a Dash action?
sorry if I’m over analyzing... Just want to make the most of this tricky situation.

Nemean Goldenmane: Tabaxi Fighter - Lost Mine of Phandelver (Retired)
OOC: In the direction the dragon flew, there are also 20 feet worth of thick brush that counts as difficult terrain. That would put Nemean 190 feet away after one turn with feline agility, which is still in range of a longbow shot at disadvantage.
Nemean darts forward to the edge of the thick brush, and takes his time lining up a shot as the dragon begins to soar off into the distance, he holds his breath as he watches the arrow fly into the air and get closer to its target.
Nemean disappears into the tangle of brush, emerging out of sight of the rest of the party on the opposite side. Lining the arrow, carefully calculating the arc needed to hit the fleet-winged dragon, the arrow soars high into the sky, falling and burying into the backside of the dragon. Its reaction is a gout of green smoke into the air as it continues its flight into the distance.
OOC: Venomfang is now 310 feet away from Nemean, wounded and fleeing.
Finna watched the dragon to fly away. "Don't blame yourself. It seems, we were not ready for that fight - it cost us the life of a friend. He left the place and will have to find a new lair, before he can truly settle down - not a victory, but a good help to the city. Now we know his true strength and next group will prepare better. If you know where should we bring the body of Argos - do it. Otherwise, we shall bury him here, and then I will have to report back to circle. They will decide what to do."
Nemean watches the dragon disappear into the distance. He curses in his native Tabaxi tongue and after a long moment staring at the skyline he turns back to his companions and surveys the wreckage. His eyes stop on the grotesque remains of Argos. “Another member of the Rockseeker Clan had fallen... we should return his remains to his family’s new home in Phandalin.” He then turns to his surviving companions, “Well fought my friends, that arrogant beast will think twice before coming back to this place again. Let us explore his lair and see if he’s left anything behind for us.”

Nix stands there for a moment considering. He doesn't want to go to the dragon's lair.. but he also doesn't want to see the remains of another fallen comrade. After a moment he turns and walks toward the dragon's lair to see what he can find.
"Yes," slowly nodded Finna, "we need to know what is there. May be some things can be returned to families of those the beast killed. And anyway - if the treasure is gone, there will be less chances the dragon returns."
Stones around can be soften with Mold Earth or, it there is big enough window/opening somewhere in the tower, Finna can climb up (as a giant spider) with the rope and fix it up there for everyone to enter.
Nemean will climb back up onto the roof and try to drop in from the hole in the ceiling. If the door can be easily opened from the inside he will immediately open the door and allow his companions in to examine the chamber with him.

To conclude (and to move things forward). We are opening the door one way or another.
1. Since Nemean left to try the roof, Roland is the next strongest - Finna will help him to try and simply force open the door (so, his roll is with advantage)
2. Failing that - Mold Earth and excavation (consider it's going while Nemean is climbing and trying to open door from another side)
3. Nemean is trying to open door by his own from the other side.
3. If it fails too and for whatever reason excavation does not help - with either Nemean's help, or with her wildshape, but the rope will be attached to the opening in the roof, so, everyone can climb up/down safely.

Venomfang fades into obscurity, defeated but not destroyed.
The door to the cottage is intact, but has swollen into its frame over the years. It seems stuck, and does not open readily.
OOC: Each character has received 400 XP for driving away Venomfang.

There is a 20 foot drop from the hole to the floor of the tower, if Finna climbs up there to discover.

OOC: And what about spell? Would softening stone be an option? Or the excavating the ground from under the door?
And Nemean can still try to push the door open - Finna will help to give advantage.

As for "mold earth", the ground in front of door is loose earth.
