Mirabel scratches his head and shrugs. "I think Kathra is right and we need to find more of these discs before we go messing around with this," he gestures to the console, "whatever the hells it is." He turns towards Peren. "Lead the way, sir, lead the way."
Yeah it's weird. There's clearly a secret doorway here in this Altar Room and Peren even got it to open a small crack, but it appears to be jammed or something and isn't smoothly opening inward like it should.
For the party:
It doesn't take long to discover that the second doorway on the eastern wall of the Long Room does, in fact return to the Forge Room where you fought the ice sentinels, as you see their melting remains still on the floor. It makes sense to you, as there were two doorways leaving the Forge Room on the same wall and when you took the left one, there was a doorway to your right when you emerged into the Long Room with the bodies and cave-in. Why there are two parallel tunnels and doors leaving the Forge Room is a mystery to you, but so are a lot of things down here in the bowels of this crumbling glacier.
Having decided to leave the Secret Doorway in the Altar Room behind for now, your only option forward is a long tunnel made of the same white glittery stone heading west from the Long Room.
((Meta, Is there a bunch of space between the two corridors leading from the forge room? like there may be a hidden room in between the two hallways? If so maybe Peren can check for any hidden doors after I cast guidance on him. Just a thought gang, before we move on to exploring))
((The two parallel hallways are 15 feet appart and I can assure you there are no secret rooms between them. Peren rolled pretty well when he checked the hallway originally and I would have mentioned it. It's just a weird design choice of the dungeon.))
This is very nearly the sneakiest you've ever been in your entire life. That said, the glittering white stone of the wall and floor is basically seamless as far as you can tell. If there are traps here, they are exceedingly well hidden.
For Peren:
The white stone walls that sparkle slightly in the light of your party's lantern and/or Light spell seem to be made of one solid piece of stone as far as you can tell. You don't see any seams or crenelations that would denote a secret door of any kind as you follow a nearly silent Kathra down the long hall into the room beyond.
For the Party:
You emerge from the white-stone tunnel into a squarish room, roughly 40 feet by 40 feet across. There is a tunnel to your right, heading north to deeper areas unexplored and a tunnel to your left, heading south, from which you see the hint of natural light at the end and can feel the fresh cool breeze of mountain air flowing down occasionally. A metal and stone spiral staircase dominates the center of the room, heading up to some upper reaches of the structure.
I’m up for going up or the tunnel north as the group wants. In this room i’ll check for any disturbance in surfaces that suggests tracks, movement (prints, worn floor, etc.).
The white-stone walls here have strange scrapes on them in places like something large and hard brushed passed. You're not really sure what sort of thing could make those sort of scrape marks however.

I’ll give the ol Monk try with the secret door before we go:

“Go ahead and lead the way Peren” ((once was very one is done w their searches)j

Let’s do it!
Kathra steps cautiously down the western hallway, trying to make as little noise as possible.
Perception: 1
Stealth: 20
((Well at least I'll set the traps off quietly))
Peren follows a few feet behind Kathra, looking for secret doors along the tunnel

For Kathra:

((This is my favorite pair of dice rolls ever))

Peren would like to investigate the room
investigation =18
And then check the north tunnel for traps
19
For Peren:
You don't find anything of immediate interest in this room. The tunnel to the north does not appear to be trapped.
Okay, Peren tells the group that he did not see any traps in the North tunnel and it looks safe to proceed
Kathra notes the breeze from the southern tunnel. "It appears we may have an alternate exit. Perhaps we should verify this before we go deeper in?"
I share what I noticed about something large having scraped the tunnel...
“I am curious as well what lies south. Maybe a quick escape route from whatever made those huge scrapes on the wall will be needed”
Peren agrees with Kathra and Gavin, and moves down the southern tunnel using stealth to see where it leads
