You finish your preparations to hunt the most most dangerous of game; some sort of maybe invisible dragon from the stars that may or may not be be suffering from a case of tentacles that stockpiles dead animals and leaves scrapes on walls and may or may not exist. What a past few days is has been, right? With purpose the party creeps down the western white-stone tunnel that leads to familiar room with the stone and metal stairs. With great caution, each of your ascends the the spiral stairway into the large circular dome structure above. Warm light from the mid-afternoon sun streams down into the room, resting near the pile of frozen animal and people carcasses that take up a sizable chunk of the northern wall. You can hear the sound of the wind outside mix with the occasional crack and pop of the glacier outside. The two familiar spiral stairs wind along the outer edge of the room up to the observation station above. You can vaguely see the luminescent rainbow light from the upper room, likely the light from the crystal tube refracting off various shiny objects.
Rhudall seems drawn to the pile of bodies, and you notice that there appears to be a new addition near the top. The fancier-looking walrus-folk from the long hallway, the one with the empty blue-jade scabbard and silvered tusk designs, lies broken atop the mound of frozen flesh. "Wala russ....Wala wala Thavir...." Rhudall says, looking a mixture of sad and angry.
((Feel free to do things.))

"The mongoose blew out its candle and was asleep in bed before the room went dark." —Llanowar fable
((FYI I have the goggles on)) I will walk w Rhudall over to the body of the walrus man with the scabbard all the while listening for any sounds of danger. Gavin says“Peren and Thont don’t forget to use those vials of ink if needed.” ((Really hope this thing is not invisible)). Once we get over to the body I take a knee and say a little prayer to Tempus while Rhudall does his thing. When he is done I point to the scabbard and make a motion with crystal sword of sheathing it, looking for him to retrieve it (or allow me to retrieve it) so as not to disrespect his dead leader.
Kathra seems immensely annoyed by all the body shuffling and sneaking about. She pounds her axe on the ground and shouts a challenge. "Come on, Jokun or whoever you are! I am Kathra Torunn, daughter of the storm! My voice is thunder and my blade is lightning! Your presence is an insult to this mountain. Let's fight and see who shall emerge the stronger!"
From above the party along the ceiling, you hear a strange sound, like the high pitch keening of crystal. As you look up, you see something like the shimmer of a mirage as a rather large creature begins to stir. As the distortion falls, a very draconic-like creature is revealed, its skin almost crystal clear, its eyes glowing with a radiant light that is almost too bright to stare directly into. As it unfolds its wings and detaches from the ceiling, you notice a strange malformation along the underside of the beast, as if a dark patch has grown over an old wound, though you can clearly see almost tentacle-ish tendrils of darkness seep from the scar deep within the monster through its crystalline carapace. dropping to the floor below, the dragon lands with the ringing thud of shattered glass, and you think maybe the building itself shook briefly at the impact. Spreading its wings wide, the monster screeches a challenge.
Rhudall, seeing this, responds in kind, holding out both axes and letting loose a roar of his own. "JOKUN WAAAAALAAAAA RUUUUUSSSS!"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Thont is immediately concerned... that this dragon was not always so crazed and that it is afflicted. Don't worry, he still wants to attack, but may look at options to subdue if we can not get killed...
After the initial throaty yelling display between Kathra, Jokun and Rhudall, Mirabel barks out a question to the creature in Draconic. What issues forth from the beast in response might be an answer, or just more crystalline screeching as far as many of you are concerned.
For Mirabel:
The dragon looks to you with its gleaming eyes and threateningly replies, "I am Jokun , terror of the stars and subjugator of flesh. You have trespassed upon my domain and stolen my bounties. You are naught but flesh to be eaten and bones to be crushed." While this malice-filled retort resounds, you vaguely notice that there is another layer to the speech as well, as if a second language that you are unfamiliar with is overlapped atop the first, shadowing the words.
And with that, Kathra and Mirabel can start us off!
EDIT: To help speed this along a bit, Jokun's defenses are as follows: AC 17/ Dex +6, Con +6, Wis +3, and Cha +5 for saves.
Kathra does not understand what the dragon says, but she understands a threat when she hears it. There is a distant sound of thunder as she lets out a whoop and swings her axe.
((Rage, obviously))
Greataxe: Attack: 10 Damage: 10
DC 14 dex saving throw, 6 lightning damage on fail, or half on success.
((Kathra god damn it stop being too excited about fighting to hit properly))

For Mirabel:
It's hard to say. The nature of this crystalline dragon is unknown to you. It could be some weird quirk of creatures from the Astral Sea, some strange symbiosis, or a parasitic take-over. you'd need more observation and information to make a real guess.
Mirabel's resounding spell ripples through the air and smashes into the dragon like harmonics on fine crystal. Small cracks form across the creature's clear carapace and the black, starry mass within it writhes. In her over eagerness, Kathra's swing goes wide, though a small amount of the energy from her swing arcs towards the dragon and finds purchase.
In response to this initial assault, the dragon Jokun beats its wings, causing a massive gale to erupt within the rooms confines. Everyone within 60 feet of the beast (so everyone) needs to make a DC 15 Strength Save or be pushed back 15 feet and knocked prone.
"Do you think it talks? Maybe we could talk to it."
Mirabel shrugs. "Or we could just kill it. Let's just kill it!"
((Seems good enough.))

Mirabel brightens momentarily. "Oh, he's back!" He takes a second look and wrinkles his snout. "Ew, he's back."
((Well that'll get someone's attention.))

((I guess, initiative is in order?))
Kathra laughs far too delightedly. "Yes! You and I will fight and one of us will die!"
Initiative: 19
Mirabel sighs.
"Well, here we are, then." He shouts at the dragon thing in Draconic, "Who are you?"
Initiative: 13
Peren says get in close and I will try a sneak attack.
Initiative = 16
Initiative for Gavin: 3
((Well thank god you guys are rolling good))
Thont is immediately concerned... that this dragon was not always so crazed and that it is afflicted. Don't worry, he still wants to attack, but may look at options to subdue if we can not get killed...
Initiative: 9
((So - how big is this thing? My imagination keeps pinging between giant and small...))
((It's bigger than Thont by a healthy margin.))
So, our Initiative is as follows:
After the initial throaty yelling display between Kathra, Jokun and Rhudall, Mirabel barks out a question to the creature in Draconic. What issues forth from the beast in response might be an answer, or just more crystalline screeching as far as many of you are concerned.

((I'd like to make an insight check to see if I can tell whether something is controlling the dragon))
Insight: 11
((Waste of good initiative, that.))
((Isnt an insight check a bonus action?))
((Yes, you can also do a real action Mirabel, if you want.))
((Well, in that case...))
A sad look crosses Mirabel's face. "I am sorry about this."
Casting Shatter: DC 13 con save with disadvantage: 18 for 16 thunder damage or half on successful save.
((Criminey!))
Thont silently prays he's still alive for his turn.
