Despite the hobgoblin guard's hesitancy and slow reach to the bell, Avaria finds the tight dress slows her natural reactions too much and she nearly trips as she lunges for the guard. His eyes grow wide as she does, but he's already ringing the bell, loudly.
In the Traveler's Shrine, while deciding what to do with the old burlap sack, Ethel hears a loud bell start ringing rapidly. That draws shouts from down the hallway in both directions. She sees Godrick's door open. Godrick is back light by a lantern or candles perhaps. He listens to the bell, then backs into his room slamming the door hard.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Jan mutters a curse under her breath at the bell going off. She'd have preferred to take the guard post quietly and have time to equip, but such things never go on the intended timeline. Well, with the bell, it's not like the sound of her magic is going to matter now. She fires off a blast at Drusus if she can get a clear shot at him, the other guard if she cannot, before moving to the rack of keys and grabbing the one to open the arena door, heading in that direction.
((Hoping it's a free interaction to grab the key, but will have to wait until next turn to use it?))

Ethel jerks her head up at the sound of the bell. She’s relieved to know the escape is underway, but disturbed that the alarm has sounded so soon.
Well, beggars can’t be choosers. Ethel ditches the dress and goes for the rat-sack.

Eldritch energy crackles around Jan's hand and leaps towards Drusus and the hobgoblin guard as she flings her hand in their direction. Drusus catches sight of the beam out of the corner of this eye and twists his body slightly, allowing it to fly harmless past his shoulder. The blast hits the wall on the other side of the guardpost, small bits of plaster falling to the ground before the energy dissipates.
Jan finds herself in front of the rack of keys. She can easily grab one, but there are 10 keys hanging on individual hooks, with two empty hooks, presumably for the two keys currently in use. There are no labels.
((Would it be an action to try to recall which one was grabbed when they were transported to the arena before? Also, did Jiselthek take back a dagger, or does Jan still have the two he gave her?))

(Jan - going to let you decide whether to take a full action or not - the DC will be higher if she does so as part of movement - Investigation Check DC 20 - , a little lower if bonus action DC 17, lower still if full action DC 10. Jisthelek seemed to materialize his own daggers out of thin air. Jan has two.)
Disguise in order, drunk pirate Ethel stumbles out of the chapel and back toward the common room. Once within earshot, she will stagger against a wall and drunkenly call out, in her gruffest, totally not a fake pirate voice, “The bells! Fire! Oh gods, there’s a fire!”

As Ethel steps out into the hallway, raising the alarm, a single hobgoblin guard runs past, coming up from behind her from the direction of the gate to the surface. Ahead of her at the crossroads hallway, she can see two more hobgoblin guards head towards the sound of the bell, back towards where the arena and tavern are.
However, none of the doors in the hallway she's staggering down open.
Marrin runs up the stairs and as she gets to the top, she can see Avaria squared off against a hobgoblin guard who is the source of the bell ringing that she's heard. Marrin has enough movement to almost get to the pair. She'd still be about 10' away at max normal movement if that's what she wants to do.
Seeing the crowd of hobgoblins racing toward - presumably - her allies, Ethel staggers after them.

Avaria sees Gillian come up from the stairwell and reprimand the hobgoblin ringing the bell. The hobgoblin guard looks confused. As he tries to register what Gillian (Marrin) is saying he still draws his sword and swipes out at Avaria in retaliation for her punch to his face.
From the direction of the arena/main concourse, two more hobgoblin guards enter the area, pausing as they see Gillian there, one of their fellow guards with his hand on the bell, and one of the prisoner/servants.
Ethel makes her way down the hall and turns on to the main concourse leading to the arena/tavern area. At her staggering drunken pace, it will take another round for her to make it to where the Amorous Octopus is.
In the tight confines of the guard post, blades are flashing quickly.
Haguur lunges recklessly again at Drusus, his sword biting into the hobgoblin captain.
Jisthelek, in a flurry of stabbing daggers connects with the hobgoblin guard next to the captain and as blood pours from the guard's neck, he slumps to the floor, dead. Jisthelek then disengages and moves back to where Jan is at the board with all the keys.
As he does, Ula raises her hands and a crack of energy whips forth from her arms, slamming into Drusus' chest. Smoke wafts up from scorched armor. The guard captain is definitely injured but still fighting.
He slashes out once, then again at Haguur. Drusus' mastery of his great sword on full display. Despite Haguur's fury and rage, Drusus connects twice and seriously injures the orc. One more blow may do him in.
The room is too crowded for the other orcs to come to Haguur's aid, or for the goblins to do much more than get underfoot. Hammerdasher looks in from the hallway.
Party's up. Ethel is making her way down the hall. Avaria and Mar-Gill currently have three hobgoblin guards to deal with but at the moment only one is seeing Avaria as the only threat. In the guard post Jan is by the rack of keys.
Mar-Gil looks as angry as she can and says to the three hobs and Ava,
"False alarm. You (points to Ava) stop fighting and go back to serving drinks or I will personally make sure your friends don't make it out of the next event. You two (points at the new hobs) go back and explain to the rest of the guards before there is a panic."
She turns on the last hob,
"And you take her back to where she belongs."

And if he continues to reach for it, she goes to stop him.

Drusus and the Hobgoblin guard have their backs to the door, not expecting danger from that side.
Haguur is directly in front of Druss. Jisthelek is back by the body of the dead hobgoblin.
Ula has entered the room, but is near the south entrance.
Two orcs and a collection of shouting goblins are shoving their way into the room.
Jan could step into melee against Drusus or the hobgoblin if she wants to. There's room.
