Valen leans in close to Kuori, "I won't shy from war, but this is slaughter. All we can do is free ourselves and ensure a safe path out of the city for those that would heed a warning." He turns away from anyone not already privy and whispers, "Our feathery friend carries the deed to holdings of our former benefactor. Our mission is to ensure safe delivery and to find a way to bring order to it since she is no longer able to assume rulership. If warning can be sent in secret, some of the city may be spared the carnage and they can be directed to come to the land we seek."

The woman welcomes you, returning Dahme'dre's and Erdans greetings with a thin smile which turns slightly bemused at the exchange between Valen and Kuori. Glancing over the boat she remarks, "Ah, one of Vazlus, the first we've seen in some time."
She indicates behind her. "At the Wall's End you can eat, drink or spend the night," she says, "that or forget yourself for a time with one of our games." She looks you all over critically, "if you seek supplies for a journey over the wall, our traders can be roused to barter or sell."
"I believe rest and an early start are preferable, yes. Not longer than what's necessary." Valen is having trouble hiding his anticipation at putting an undead army miles behind him.

"Yes, rest, games, and supplies. That's what we need. I agree with Shiney, we should rest today, then head out bright and early tomorrow. But first, we do need to let Vazlus know that we made it. Can you write something to let him know that we made it here? We can deliver it to him quickly."
Erdan, not quite sure where Aio is in the sky, will wave his arms in the are and give two thumbs up, trying to indicate it is safe to land.
Aio saw the signal from Erdan and landed with the group. She was very tired, her adrenaline having worn off a few minutes ago. She followed the others, just nodding her head and trying to stay on her feet.

The woman offers another rueful smile, before handing Erdan a small token of wood carved with a glyph. "Ordinarily we would send a token to Vazlu indicating his boats safe arrival by a subsequent skiff in that direction but none dare sail these days so you're welcome to it."
She considers Dahme'dre's request, her smile turning to a thoughtful frown, "How much were you after and of what sort?" she asks. "Our alchemist may have a small store of hand-bombs..."
Kuori takes this time to introduce herself. "My name is Kuori Gathakanathi, champion of Aesthara." She would like to buy 10 days worth of rations and water.

"Demolition isn't really my expertise, and I'm not certain my companions are on board, but what I'd really like to do is put a hole in the city wall where the water is deepest. It seems the task has been neglected too long." She turns to her party. "If you all feel the best we can do is send our message to Valzu and flee, I will abandon this course. If you have another suggestion I'll hear it."
Dahme'dre has been involved in the inner workings of this city, to some small degree, for the whole of her life. The flood occurred 30 years ago. Have no attempts to release the water and sewage been made in this time. What hurdles prevent even simple action. The water is held by the city walls it seems it could be released by simply turning a latch on the gates... (History: (1)10)
As for supplies, she doesn't have the skill to make use of things like a hunting trap or fishing tackle, but she did see value in a simple Explorer's Pack.
Dahme'dre could purify food and water with her magic, and planned to improve upon that ability in the future. (That is to say, if I inscribe the spell as a scroll now I can cast it as a ritual later even if I don't keep it as a known spell.)
(Valen will also take the rest to swap Command for Create or Destroy Water. This can make 10 gallons of water in any single container, so I would advise a big water bladder, then several personal skins.
Valen will also haggle with a merchant. If he buys 8 days of rations (4gp), will the merchant discount 4 extra waterskins for an even 5sp.)

During the night, Erdan will write out a note for Vazlu, telling him that the undead are waylaying his boats. They are gathering there forces and he should warn anyone he can. They plan on attacking the city.
Erdan will give Aio the note and her, quietly "It would probably be for the best if you leave the deed here before you go back. We will keep it safe until your return. If anything looks fishy, turn and fly back. Don't get yourself killed over this message."
((Do we want to pool our resources for a cart to carry supplies?))
Aio nodded to her companions and left the deed with Dahm'edre before taking the note from Erdan. She was deep in thought, so didn't bother replying to the two. As soon as she had eaten breakfast, she took to the skies to find the halfling and deliver the message.

(I had thought about one, but I don't know if we have the funds or if there is a feasible way to move it without becoming sitting ducks. It would help to carry a barrel or two that I can fill with water. Create/Destroy Water can make 10 gallons at a time, but only in in a single container. PHB containers jump from 1 gallon maximum (pots/pitchers) to 10 gallons (a 70lb barrel).)

((Yea, I wasn't sure how much gear we wanted to bring along. A cart is 15gp and a mule is 8, so total of 23gp if they are available. However, I agree that we'll be sitting ducks. FYI, you forgot buckets, which are 3 gallons. It would be easy enough for a few of us to get some buckets for water. We'll be able to move faster and with less restrictions if we don't have a cart. So, I think I just talked myself out of it, unless someone wants to bring along a barrel of ale.))
