Mordred had blinked at Nygil and his lithe build with a light chuckle before laughing entirely his voice was a bit brighter than before.
"Nay, I just wanted to see you attempt to pick me up so you may show me the hidden art of falling on one's face again. Maybe one day I'll master you're techniques sir."
As his laughter had begun to die down he had wanted to say something to Nygil. He was.. Happy that Nygil had asked for help earlier. He was afraid Nygil would value pride over his own life. Maybe to a degree Nygil had but to put ones pride down and ask for aid it took strength. A sort of strength that Mordred himself hadn't realized that he lacked for he'd never ask another to aid him even if he'd ask others to be open about it. This indeed had the man a bit of a hypocrite.
He looks at Nygil when he talks about common decency and scared peasants.
Had you punished these.. "peasants?"
Mordred had brought up manors this had caused Mordred to extend a hand to the lizardman.
"The names Mordred, an honor to meet you."
Mordred beside Nygil hadn't forgot his conversation with Jack he was looking her way. He was still trying to get a read on her but it proved.. Difficult yet this had strangely not bothered the paladin. She had explained a bit of these safety rules and how these changes were like armor.
"That is all well and good, safety is important and also.. I am happy to know you are the same. ..."
He had cleared his throat looking away realizing the implication of his statement.
"What I mean is you are a reliable ally and that sort of trust is scarce in twilight."
He had listened to Jack when he had stated he would take it as a compliment Mordred had offered a nod. The group had others matters to attend with but Jack had told him that he would share his true form.. Another time?
"I'd.. Very much like that."
He had stated before focusing on the rest of the group, "That was a strange.. Statement but luckily we've other matters to distract Jac- I mean distract us! Wait.. It's not a distraction this actually important. Jeez.. I need to really get my head on straight." Mordred had thought to himself. Almost as if the universe had to have proven him right the mention of those missing had arose. He looked to Jack and offered a solemn nod.
I wish I could help you locate the missing so that they may see their loved ones once more. However I know words and wishes are weightless and offer no real solace but regardless of that fact I offer my condolences on those lost in the Twilight.
Mordred was grateful to hear this man's name, he had offered a nod grateful to hear this man had offered them hope to go home.. To their own worlds and their own families.
Right... Thank you Zeffery.
If it fails (Minor illusion)
Mordred had looked at her tilting his head, did she seem jumpy? Or was he imagining it? He had heard her ask Nygil but he'd weigh in himself.
"I like the creative process in such a spell but.. I feel as if that may reaching the power of that cantrip. I do think it's impressive however and that it's more impressive than a simple minor illusion but as Tamara said I don't think it will have the desired result entirely."
Nygil gives Mordred a baffled look, "Me? Punish peasants? Look I might not be the most pleasant person in existence but I wouldn't dream of doing something like that. It...just never occurred to me why they always seemed so...giving in terms of nobility like myself. I wouldn't put it past my father or my brother for that matter though..." He snorts, "And they thought I wanted to usurp father's position. Humph."
"As for that technique, it isn't mine. I am still mastering it myself," he crosses his arms. "I follow the way of the open hand, not the drunken master. ...but when one has a passion like I do, he tends to branch out whenever the opportunity arises!" He leaps up, performs a flurry of kicks and strikes faster then the eye can follow before landing on one foot...which happens to be the one that the worm bit so he lands a little awkwardly--resulting in a bit of a wobbly (almost drunken) movement. In spite of this he manages to keep his balance and regain his former standing position before putting his hands together in front of him and giving Mordred a small bow. When he looks up, he has a ridiculous grin on his face...then he turns back to the Lizardfolk with a flourish and says, "Yes! We thank you Master Zeffery. And we shall be out of your hair...er...scales before dawn...or however you keep track of night and day in this place."
Rethan nods his thanks to the guard after hearing the explanation and scans over the posters that haven't been marked as resolved in some way. He figures if they actually make it out of here successfully, he can keep an eye out for any of the missing people on their way back, or in Dusk once they get there. And if they happen to find anyone from the Wanted posters while they're here in Dawn, well....mayhaps that person could turn into an ally.
(Is there anyone in the wanted posters that could fit any of the fallen champions with us?)
The guardhouse is positioned directly to the right of the gates and is backed up against the city walls and along the main road through town. Much like Dusk, this street (which is the same street that travels through the twilight and into Dusk) travels all the way to the city center, and to Zoran's castle. This part of town is inhabited mostly by middleclass folk, though if you traveled farther down the streets to either the right or the left, you would quickly enter the slums.
The middle-class inhabit the area directly off the main street up until you reach the center of the city where the upper-class reside. The upper class area forms a circle around the castle. The slums are located along the city walls, and would form a circle along them if not for the middle-class splitting it down the middle.
When Kashika conducts her experiment, she successfully manages to make herself appear invisible, however is she tries to move while holding the illusion, it creates a ripple affect, as the illusion is a bit to slow to keep up with the changing background. That said, this may be a useful way to quickly hide if there isn't another option, but you could be detected if you try to use it for stealth purposes. (Though I would give advantage, you are not totally invisible) It is also clear that this would not work on anyone who is bigger than Kashika.
Zeffery shakes Mordred's hand, and nods to Rethan and Nygil as they say their thanks. Then he turns and walks up the stairs shaking his head and chuckling under his breath. "Master Zeffery eh?"
For those of you who examined the board farther, you would notice two other 'missing' posters. One for a second male Minotuar, and another for a female Lizardfolk. Both of them have only been missing for two days. You also see four 'wanted' posters. Two are Gnolls who look like brothers, One for a female dragonborn wearing plate armor and a rather dopy expression, and one for a smiling male Kobold with a lute strapped to his back.
The two Gnolls are simply called the Dune Brothers, and are wanted for raiding merchant caravans traversing the Twilight. They have a reward of 10gp for catching them.
The dragonborn has no name listed, and the charges against her are: Theft, assault, and destruction of property. The reward for her is 20gp. (If you had to guess, she is the most likely of the three to be a failed champion, though you have no real way of knowing.)
The Kobold has the name Whicket, written under his portrait, and is wanted for: Causing a particularly destructive bar fight, and not paying his tab. The reward for him is 5gp.
Before settling in to rest, Rethan finds a clear spot with enough space to set out the brazier and materials needed for a summoning spell to bring back Midnight. He chants and gestures his way through the ritual, and when he finishes, instead of a black cat, a tiny black spider appears before him. It looks back and forth a bit and the legs skitter almost as if it's testing how they move. Then it rears back on it's hind 4 legs and the front four legs wave around in the air at Rethan. To anyone watching, it almost appears as if the creature is berating the human, despite being a tiny fraction of his size. Eventually it stops and skitters out of sight. Rethan looks around to any observers with a shrug. "Like I said, she doesn't appreciate being killed. And isn't always the biggest fan of being given new forms. But this should make it much easier for her to sneak around unobserved if needed."
(If we can/are willing to spend the extra hour, I'll do the ritual, then long rest afterwards. Otherwise, I'll do the ritual anyway, then do a short rest after to spend hit dice to gte back the 13 hp I lost in the desert and be content with that. Havne't used up any other cooldowns besides the spell slot for casting find familiar)
Kashika notes with satisfaction.. the first time anyone had seen her thus... .. or rather not seen her. And the spell itself wasn't overly taxing. It had a variety of potential uses. She wasn't sure that it would have worked, and until moments before she had never considered it... Clearly it had limitations but it wasn't useless either. If she could go in unnoticed by an enemy and use one of her ... secrets... she may just become an invisible turret... Obviously that had limitations as well but....
Y-yes... thank you. And n-no.. I wish I was so powerful... but I could s-see this having some limited use.. in the right s-situation. The Idea came to me when we entered here, and my mind wandered back to the way we got under the w-wall. But y-yes, we should finish resting. I haven't quite restored my full energy.. and I have more than just spell energies to r-restore.
A-and if you're wanting to look for those people for whatever r-reason... My guess is they will be in the s-slums. I have nothing to back this guess up, but... if you need to hide... what better place than t-there?
with that, she let her illusion dissipate, and found a nice corner, setting her stuff to the side and curling into what resembled a ball, her back to the wall, tail curled into herself, and to anyone familiar with anything similar ... this was a defensive posture. One that limited the directions she would have to worry about being attacked from. Clearly, Kashika was settling back in to finish her rest. Though she did pipe back in to say one last thing before her eyes closed...
We should all get back to it t-though. Zeffrey may have had reasons he wanted us out before he came back. Perhaps the current guards are ... okay with this. But perhaps those relieving them will not. O-or maybe I'm just ... over thinking...
In regards to Mordreds insight, he would come to the conclusion that it was likely just a continuation of her behavior, the same one that he didnt understand before. Perhaps he knew more now, but Kashika had her reasons, and now atleast two knew about them. But Kashika was a yin-yang of skittish, and confident. The former being the most ever-present and visible.
"I'm Jack. It's wonderful to meet you, Zeffrey. Thank you so much for letting us rest here." The changeling nods in appreciation as the warden climbs up the stairs.
All the while, Jack could feel Mordred looking at her, and turns to continue their conversation from before. "Yeah, safety is important. I knew a guy that didn't have the safety cover on the table saw at my shop... he cut off three of his fingers. I'd rather not risk it." When he clears his throat, she could help but smirk stupidly at his strange behavior. What in the world is going on? I'm so confused.
"I'm glad you think so. And I could say the same for you, you proved to be very quick in helping others back in that sandstorm. Thank you." Just thinking about the sandstorm---and the possibility of both Nygil and herself being dragged under the sandstorm, and suffocating to death in a pit of sand---sends chills down her spine. Though, when he mentions that he would 'very much like' to see her true form, she raises an eyebrow at him. This man... he gets more confusing every time he opens his mouth.
Jack looks to Mordred and Nygil, smiling amusedly at their conversation. But that amusement soon turns to awe as Nygil leaps up into the air and shows them what he means by 'technique.' "Whoa... That was cool! Who taught you to do that!?"
Still caught up in excitement, Jack does a double-take as Kashika seems to have... disappeared? "Good to know, that spell looks useful for hiding quickly."
With that, she settles down in front of a wall, placing her case to one side of her and resting her head on top of it. "If we're resting, I'm gonna take a nap. Faia knows I need one..." Within a matter of minutes she's fast asleep, snoring lightly. She sleeps for three hours, but wakes up before the rest is over.
So she takes out a block of wood she got at Dusk, and a small hammer, chisel, dagger, and a plane from her case, and prays for a minute. This seems to be a small part of a ritual, for she then changes forms again---back to the first form he wore when he first fell into Dusk.
Lanky and definitely taller than his previous form, his clothing fits him better. He takes a minute to look at his hands as small scars crisscross his palms and fingers. His flat brown eyes scan the rest of the party from behind the curtain of curly hair that partially covers his eyes, and eventually his gaze lands on Midnight in her current form, if she's visible. "Rethan, do you think Midnight would mind if she models for me? I'm trying to make a spider figurine out of wood and she would be perfect for it."
DM:
If possible, with the 5-or-6-ish hours they have left, he'll carve a small spider figurine, inspired by Midnight (if Rethan obliges). In the figurine, he'll try to embed one of the stars he collected from the river into it, tear a small piece of fabric from his shirt sleeve, and attach the figurine to the fabric and make a wristband. Hopefully, it'll allow him 'wear' the star and use its properties (light, immunity to sandstorm blindness, and anything else) without having to occupy a free hand.
Would this work? And since it's not particularly strenuous work, would this coincide within a long rest?
(Loll, glad someone got the reference!
I'm fine with spending the extra hour. Who knows when's the next time we'll get to take a long rest?)

Jack, a Changeling Artificer/Bard/Cleric/Fighter/Rogue---RynnElocin'sFrom Dusk to Dawn Amon, a Fairy Arcane Trickster---ShieldHero_'s Fractum
"She does enjoy showing off," Rethan tells Jack, calling the familiar back out from the shadows she disappeared into earlier. The spider skitters back out and preens herself a bit for Jack.
After making his comment to the warden, Zalten shrugs and goes to rest for a bit, and when he awakens, he takes some time to meditate as the others disucss. He listens out for the voice of his god, hoping oth hear even the slightest bit of guidance ahead of whatever is next, but instead of the familiar voice he's looking for, other whispers begin to fill his head. The voices are faint at first, but they start to solidfy into faint murmers. He jolts back, unsure of what exactly is happening, and beggings to feel a faint tugging in his chest, as if his soul has suddenly become a bit heavier. The tendrils of his essense flowing behind him begin to stir a bit more than they have previously on this journey, and they become a bit more opaque
The echoes in his head finally solidify into a few faint voices. Zalten searches for any voice that sounds like someone he might know, but they are entirely foreign to him. He can make out a few words as they talk, though can't string together any real coherent thoughts at first, though he can indentify a minotaur, a bugbear, a dwarf, and some sort of elf in the voices all talking to him. He tries to focus in on a singular voice to achieve a slight bit of clarity, but he can't focus in enough to make out any singular voice. His mind begins to drift, thinking about the daunting task ahead of them of not only attempting to steal Zoran's crown, but of not getting exposed in the meantime. The lizarfolk could so clearly tell what they were from the start, and Zalten can tell that seeing an aasimar like himself will hint to many that he is not from this realm, and he begins to worry. When his mind hones in on this worry, suddenly the voices become audible. They speak to him rather briefly, and though the exact words quickly fade from his mind, the worry fades as he grows more confident in his ability to remain secretive while within Dawn's walls
(Whispers of the Dead swapped to Deception)
As the voices fade, he stands up and says "We should get going soon. As kind as the hospitality of these guards is, we shouldn't take any more risks than we have to. Clearly we are going to be quite obvious to most people in this city, so moving with speed will be a priority if we want to remain hidden. If everyone is ready, we should leave. Perhaps the slums or somewhere more on the outskirts of the city would be a good destination if we want to go somewhere to plan or collect more info. Somewhere where those who recognize us are unlikely to turn us in or there won't be many people to recognize us at all"
Nygil nods to Kashika, "Hmm, perhaps not as useful as true invisibility. But impressive nonetheless! Surely it will be useful in some way, even if its usefulness is simply knowing you are capable of it!"
He grins at Jack, "Oh that? I taught myself. Its a...combination of a couple different techniques. ...Okay, maybe more then a couple..." He pauses, shutting his eyes for a moment and performing a couple of the motions again--but this time in slow motion. Shaking his head, his smile returns, "I won't bore you with the list of mentors and books I learned from. The list would be...oh...wayyyyyy to long for me to recount in a timely fashion."
"Hmm, I don't really need a rest, but I'll do whatever the rest of you want to do."
Kashika, from her corner, nodded to Nygil. Y-yes, v-very true. I've been preparing for this since before you all c-came. Atleast as much as I c-could. New experiences and ... s-situations led to new... considerations. She had the same thought. Sometimes simply having a thing was enough. Sometimes that thing was physical, somtimes it was simply knowledge. And for her, in many cases, it was simply enough to eat.... That triggered a memory ... she hadn't eaten since the group got together, and she slipped out one of the few rations she had. Normally she saved these for emergencies. Usually she had stolen them, though sometimes she came across enough coin to purchase one... at another location she never stole from of course.
And quietly, the Kobold gnawed on her meal in a way that suggested she was treating it like a precious thing.. to be savored. Drinking roughly 1/4th of her waterskin as she devoured her meal... slowly. At this point, she was simply resting.... waiting until she felt her spell energies fully recover. And the moment she did, she would let the others know, and cnfirm that the other caster(s) such as Tamara had as well. Though sometime during it ... Zalten suggested perhaps reconnaissance.. to learn more .. though her thoughts drew her opinion elsewhere.
Mm.. I d-disagree Zalten. Not entirely but... if we are so easily recognized... t-then perhaps we should head straight for the castle itself... she looked down for a moment as if gathering her reasoning...
The more time we spend out h-here looking to find out more... the m-more likely we are to become ... widely known.... she said, drawing from her.. own experiences. She frowned breifly but pressed on. B-but i see two ways to handle it if we d-decide to...
We can either ... simply storm the c-castle blindly... not only the l-last thing they would e-expect b-but we would be the most likely to c-catch them off guard. Then... there is the other... she says as her head swivels to Tamara.... one of her co-conspirators at this point. I was a b-bit distracted before.. but I r-recall you saying you worked for this dragon last t-time... which means you should know atleast a little of the c-castles interior...Perhaps even if this dragon kept his crown on him... who how bigger guard is... like the w-wolf of the other...
In w-which case... we can see if that gets us .. inside... or ... .... ..... something along those l-lines....
Some time during your rest, you start to dose off. Realizing this, you snap your eyes open you were not planning on actually sleeping during your time here. Were you? Looking around you find that you are in complete darkness. Strange, the darkest part of the Realm is in the Twilight and even there, the land is never bathed in darkness. On top of that, you are in Dawn, aren't you? Even with your darkvision, you can't see a thing. It's almost like you are surrounded by completely nothing. You look down at your feet, thinking you'd see floorboards only to see--nothing. You are floating in nothingness- a Void. You start to panic. How did you get here? Why are you here? Suddenly you hear the laughter of a Deep Male Voice. You whip your head around, trying to find the source but to no avail. You can still see absolutely nothing accept your own hands and feet. The laughter stops abruptly yielding a moment of silence. Then two huge eyes open directly above you. Each seeming the size of an ancient sun, burning with red-amber light. "KASHIKA"The voice from before booms.
Then you jump awake.
Jack:
(Yep that's fine with me.)
You skillfully carve a beautiful spider from that plain piece of wood, then carefully plant the star into the abdomen farther adding to it's beauty.
This will give you the benefits of holding the star, however when wearing it, you have disadvantage on Stealth Checks.
Zalten:
Directly after the many voices fade from your mind, you notice a soft noise still remains. You try to focus on it and as you do you recognize it as the voice of your god. It sounds very far away and harder to hear than it was when you were in the Twilight. This strikes you as odd. Why was the voice stronger amidst the darkness than here in the light of Dawn? Shrugging away the thought you focus harder, trying to make out the words.
You do have a small bit of knowledge about the castle. As a champion, you were escorted through the throne-room, then treated to a feast in his dining room. You were also given a tour through his Hall of Champions, which is a room dedicated to portraits of various champions handing him the crown. These two rooms are both directly attached to the Throne room, so you did not get to look through any more of the castle, but you do know that his castle isn't extremely large. You would also know that there are several guards stationed within it. Two are at the front gates and you would guess that there are several stationed elsewhere as you know that Zoran has a rather large treasure room and a rumored secret second treasure room somewhere in the castle.
Based on your experience with Cyra's maid, (who was a werewolf if you haven't guessed already) you'd guess that Zoran's butler may be a threat as well. Though from what you've seen of him, he doesn't seem all that intimidating, and has acted more like an advisor more anything else.
When you are ready, you all make your way down the cellar stairs and out the door. You step into an empty alley positioned just as Zeffery had said. No one sees you exit the cellar, you can't see anyone around, but you can hear people walking and talking along the main road.
From here, you have two options:
You can make your way back to the main road. This is probably the quickest way to the castle, but you would also put yourself out in the open. The main road is the busiest part of town as it is where all the shops are located.
Or
You can make your way through the slums. This will take a bit longer as you will have to maneuver around buildings, but you won't be out in the open.
(You can continue to discuss your plan before exiting the guard house if you wish)
"That's a good point,"Rethan says when Kashika mentions Tamara having been working for Zoran previously. "Do you happen to know any...alternative...ways into the castle?"
Jumble awoke as the others prepared to leave. He was a bit quiet at first, trying to get his wits about him while he organized his backpack--it felt as if the respite had been just barely enough--but within minutes he was his eager, curious self as they prepared to exit.
"That's a good point,"Rethan says when Kashika mentions Tamara having been working for Zoran previously. "Do you happen to know any...alternative...ways into the castle?"
Ever one to take advantage of a lull in activity, the bard whipped out paper and quill and began detailing their events up to the moment, although he was purposely vague about the appearance and location of their host's home. After satiating his desire for notes, he again set his papers aside, then mentally called Ichabod to his shoulder.
As his god's voice once again enters his mind, Zalten radiates with a warm glow, a bit more light returning to him as the voice speaks to him. He's surprised at how muffled it is, even more so than what he heard out in the twilight, but focuses in on the words, attempting to decipher his god's message. Much of the meaning is unclear to him, though as the voice fades and he ponders what has been said, he begins to peice together what has just been said to him
"The king refered to must be Zoran, as he is the current holder of the crown," he thinks, "and 'wants all at work' - Zoran wants all of this realm? It would certainly align with this constant fued between him and Cyra. "At work" perhaps is his plan - evil or darkness is at work"
It is the next phrase that plays in his head the most: "wants Child". To Zalten, this can only mean one thing: Zoran is after Kashika. Could he be aware of her connection to Cyra, and does he have some hand to play in why she is here as well? Whatever, it is, in this moment, Zalten's resolve to ensure her safety only increases. He's still not entirely sure if his god wants him to follow every detail of Kashika's plan, or if there is something he is meant to help her realize she needs to change, but whatever it is, he's convinced she's under direct threat from Zoran
Thinking about the next phrase - "world cracked broken Void", his mind immediately goes back to the river of darkness they crossed on their way here. That spot looked like a rift in the earth, as if the very realm had been split - was that perhaps what was refered to here? Was that river a representation of larger damage to the world? Perhaps, if all goes as Kashika has planned, then the crown can be used to seal that rift as well, but why was his god warning him of this break? The river didn't seem particularly dangerous to him when they were there - at the very least it was safe enough for some of them to drink. Perhaps his god is referencing something else, though no matter what, perhaps removing the siblings from power will seal it
His thoughts turn to Kashika - whatever plan she has to properly defeat Zoran, he certainly hopes she's though it through, as he knows he will likely be relying on it for his survival
Zalten hangs back a bit as the group goes to leave the guard's quarters, following the group after taking a moment to collect himself. Anyone who looks at him sees that again a bit of color has returned to his eyes, his pupils beggining to turn a more vibrant gold than before as his facial features become more recognizable and less faded, though the vast majority of his form is still grey and his soul still extends out in whisps behind him
Hearing Kashika's comment about storming the castle immediatly, Zalten responds "Perhaps that is an option to consider. Tamara, if you do know a way for us to get in a bit more undetected, we might be able to capitalize on our element of surprise while we have it, but the risk is still incredibly high. If we are seen, it could doom us all quickly, but if we can get inside the castle walls before we are noticed... that should make our task significantly simpler"
The moment he exits the building, he his once again on high alert. Besides Kashika, the rest of them clearly are going to stick out like a sore thumb among the denizens of this city, and how quicky the guards knew who they were clearly indicates that others will as well. As the group begins to move along whatever path they end up agreeing on, he sticks close to Kashika, attempting to get a moment to talk privately. When he eventually does, he says the following:
Kashika:
Careful to remain as quiet as possible, Zalten whispers a short message to Kashika as they travel. His face is stoic, though if Kashika looks closely, she noticies a fair bit of concern hidden just blow the surface:
"Kashika... I am afriad our rather difficult task may have become more complicated. I've recieved a message... my god has manged to relay something. It was garbled and I could only hear small parts of it, but... what was clear is Zoran wants something to do with you... to capture you for some purpose perhaps. I do not know what he is planning, but whatever it is... it suggests he knows who you are and that you are a daughter of Cyra. Perhaps worse he may already know all of us are here. Whatever your plan is once we get into that castle, we need to be especially careful. Whatever it is he wants from you... it certainly can't be good"
Tamara shook her head. "No, I was only given a short tour of the castle before my group was sent off. I did see some of his defenses... he keeps a pair of guards at the front gate and at least half a dozen more inside. And..." She shivers as she recalls their attack on Cyra's castle. "Zoran has a 'butler'. If that Florie was any kind of clue he's probably a lot more dangerous than he looks. There is a way to sneak over to the castle, if we cut through the slums first. I'd say we should do that if we want to avoid the guard. Who knows, we might even be able to examine part of the castle and find a hidden entrance!"
Mordred had listened to Nygil as he begun to speak of his life beforehand. He had claimed that despite not being the most "pleasant" person he wouldn't do such a thing. Mordred may have had certain trust issues but he couldn't help but trust Nygil that he would not do such a thing. Was it trust? Or was he simply being hopeful?
"Usurp you're father's position huh? Is that a common fear in nobility?"
Mordred had chuckled upon Nygil's flurry of blows with a light stumble as he shook his head. Jack had mentioned up Nygil's training as he looked to her before back to Nygil.
You seem passionate to say the least. Though it appears much of you're training has paid off.
He had pat Nygil's back before looking back to Jack. This dynamic.. The three of them had shared.. Had it truly reminded him of those back at home? Or was he simply imagining things?
@Kashika
Mordred had nodded along upon her thought on the slums and the application of her magic.
"I must say that is a rather impressive use of you're talents Kashika. Also if we were to find these missing people I believe the slums may be a decent start as well."
@Jack
Mordred's eyes had raised when he heard of a man losing three fingers in such a way.
"Ahh and here I thought the battlefield was the place most common for such a thing."
Mordred tilted his head a bit surprised by Jack thanking him.
"Ahh no, I regret not being able to do more. However the sentiment is.. Appreciated."
Rest
Mordred had done an hour of some light exercises before reflecting upon the day. The battle the conversation. What could he have handled better or done differently. Though lament was pointless learning from one's errors was never fruitless to Mordred. Afterwards Mordred had finally laid down to finally catch a moment's shut eye from today's eventful day.
OOC @DM do you think it'd be okay if Mordred woke up once at night? Talked to a few party members in private? Just RP etc but not hold up the story on the thread? I always enjoy extra dialogue/roleplay/story when I can ^~^
Mordred had blinked at Nygil and his lithe build with a light chuckle before laughing entirely his voice was a bit brighter than before.

Mordred's Insight on Kashika being a bit jumpy ^^
(Replying to Kashika)
(You can all take a long rest now. Just let me know when you leave the building.)
Occassional Dungeon Master.

Occassional Dungeon Master.
Kashika:
"KASHIKA" The voice from before booms.
Shrugging away the thought you focus harder, trying to make out the words.
..........The King....Nothing.....wants.....all......at work.....wants.......Child..................world.....cracked....broken......................................................................................Void.....
The voice fades into silence.
Tamara:
"That's a good point," Rethan says when Kashika mentions Tamara having been working for Zoran previously.

DM:
@Nygil
@Kashika
Mordred had nodded along upon her thought on the slums and the application of her magic.
"I must say that is a rather impressive use of you're talents Kashika. Also if we were to find these missing people I believe the slums may be a decent start as well."
@Jack
