"Uhhhhh," Nygil says, pointing at the scaly minotaur, "That's not normal..." He chuckles, "Well, this will be fun... or not... are we really just going to talk to this guy?"He frowns a little, "This seems super off to me."
He waves at the minotaur, "Hey are you possessed?"
"Oh well now this is going well already," Devona said mostly to herself. "I'm not sure asking if they are possessed is the best plan right now...but honestly I think we would all like some answers, yes?"

Kashika knew everyone might get mad. But they had tried the stealthy approach, and this person had already shown they would kill someone and dump their body like it meant nothing. Like she had been in her first world, then again here... On top of the fact that she'd been robbed of her goal, and was once again alone, with the mage and Zalten leaving for their own reasons. Being forced to go out and hunt for a treasure that should have been within the castle....
And now this creature who had stolen the prize, and led them all on a goose chase, had taken her chance for the second time. A deep fury built within her, her amber eyes flaring crimson for a moment, despite the fact that the spell she had in mind was anything but directly destructive.

Jumble had discreetly called Ichabod back when the minotaur had turned; the small owl had slowly taken steps back until it was halfway between the party and the creature, when Kashika cast her spell. The bard's mouth dropped open as he turned to look at his companion in astonishment and confusion.

"Be silent Shurkan."The voice booms from the portal once more, cutting off the Minotaur's words. Shurkan, glances back at the portal, which...looks slightly smaller? Then back at the group with a slightly dejected expression.
When Kashika speaks up, the voice laughs loudly, a laugh that the little kobold recognizes. This is the voice, she heard in her dream. "Oh dear Child. I do not simply think, I am stronger than you. I know I am. I could crush this world with a single claw if I could but reach it." As he speaks, an enormous claw stretches towards you from within the portal, only to fall away. "But I cannot. Not yet at least."The glowing eyes get closer to the opening, and slowly reveals the face of an enormous black dragon. "That is where you come in...Kashika." He chuckles.
Shurkan shoots towards the ceiling just as the black dragon finishes stating Kashika's name. "Why you!" He shouts, "You think you can just fling me around like a puppet! How dare you! I'll Kill you! I'll kill you all for his glory!"

"Shurkan! Stay silent! Your time will come!"The booming voice barks once again.
"B-but."
"Silent!"
Shurkan frowns, crossing his arms. He looks like a pouting child.
Then the eyes turn back to the party. Whicket looks extremely spooked, but he tries to hide his fear by stationing himself in a protective position in front of Kashika and Devona. Glancing at Kashika he whispers, "That is the mean minotaur. But he looks different! Hmmmm. I don't like this! And how does the portal dragon know your name? Do you know him? I really, really don't like this. This doesn't feel right. Weren't we looking for the crown? This doesn't sound like our problem!"
"Oh I'm sure we have no doubt of your power, and I don't think we really care about meddling in your affairs here, except that we are looking for a lost crown. I'm not even sure we really care to get it back as long as we know what happened to it. I'd be just happy reporting our findings and returning to my homeland." She looks up at the floating minotaur and sighs. "I don't know that I've ever seen a minotaur so light on his feet."

(I'm not sure whether you're insighting Kashika, or the dragon)
Kashika growls as her fury rises. Though with it comes mockery. Well, your t-thug is under MY control now. He can't even fight back now, and if he doesn't learn his place with me we will end him. Answer our questions minotaur or you will die NOW instead of LATER. recognition hits Kashika and her own suspicion rises, and if the Bard were seeking insight at her, she would seem almost as confused as him. Afterall, she had openly told the party about this the moment she had the dream.
But you must be the one Z-zoran was c-coy about. And you claim to have so much power, yet you are powerless to c-come here. So eben YOU need to learn your place. Without someone to help you, you can never achieve your goal. And what are the odds someoen else will stumble in here after us, if we end your thug here? Even if you eventually succeed, your plans may be delayed by a decade.... a century.... or even multiple millenia.
As s-someone who grew up fightign for every scrap she ate. Fighting to survive, if anyone here knows when soemone is bluffing about their odds of success, it would be me.
her face had turned to a snarl, her voice louder now. Echoing in the chamber. There is also the odds of no one ever finding this place again, meaning you can never achieve your goal. Whatever it may be, though it seems... by your own words... Kashika's lisping stutter seemed to vanish. That without someone to aid you, you will be a 'god.'... of nothing.
She was shaking with a mixture of adrenalin and fury.
Let me guess? That 'river' and what is happening with the world is YOUR doing but somehow you were stopped before you could finish it? Shell your ego for a moment then. And tell me of your plans, and every detail of how to accomplish it, and I will aid you. But if you decide to hold onto your pride, I will shove it down your throat, and make sure your plans fail now, and are at best delayed, and at worst, permanently prevented.
What do you say? Do we have a deal? I only want the crown when this is all said and done. I have plans of my own. So we can benefit mutually.she half offers, half threatens, as she ignores the bargaining that the others had somewhat started.
Nygil eyes the floating Demonitaur, sighing in exasperation, "Well this is rather boring. ...are you sure he can't do anything from up there? What if he has spells he can throw at us?" He shrugs, "Just a thought... and if he can actually hit us from up there, you might have just given him an advantage since...well... I am much more efficient when I can reach the enemy." He raises his fists as if to illustrate his point, only to trail off when Kashika starts talking to the dragon in the portal.
"Not sure what you're going for here, but I really hope you know what your doing," he says after a moment. "But if you don't... well we'll just see how it goes I guess. I seriously doubt we're getting out of here without a fight--at least not if we want the crown." He looks around, "Speaking of which, did anyone see that thing? Maybe we should confirm they have it before launching into a fight. Not that a fight wouldn't be fun, buuuuuuttt we don't really want to waste time fighting if we aren't sure they have what we're after. Right?"
He then looks up at the Demonitaur, "And... sorry fella but I think you reaaaaallllyy need to rethink your choice of employer. This lizard doesn't seem to have your best interests in mind, judging by the way he's treating you." He grins, jabbing a thumb at his own chest, "Trust me! I know! This dragon sounds just like my father!"
Shurkan scowls at Devona after she makes her comment on his lightfootedness, but does as his master says and remains silent. His scowl turns to a snarl as Kashika speaks up again, referring to him as a 'thug' and stating that he is under her control. Foolish Kobold....
The Abyssal dragon laughs again. "Oh dear child. You really think that I am bluffing about that? The odds of you and your little group finding this shrine was next to nothing, and yet you did. Why is that?" He chuckles. "If this plan fails, there will always be the next. A century, a millennia, a thousand millennia, time is meaningless to one such as I."
"You are not wrong. I cannot physically touch this world, yet. But my claws are wrapped around it, and my hold will only get tighter from here. In a way, you are also correct about the river, but you are also wrong. I know you spoke with both dragons of the Lower Realm and doubtlessly recognized their petty rivalry. The crown which you seek was created in an attempt to leash such pettiness and prevent the downfall of this world. If left unchecked, those childish guardian would have destroyed this world long ago, and in doing so create a cascade of destruction which would have rained down on the worlds around it. So you see, and likely already know given the fact that you were ripped from your worlds, the foolishness of those young dragons harms not only this world, but many others as well. A cracked and broken world is easily influenced by outsiders." He laughs again. "There are many such rulers throughout the multiverse. Do you not think things would be simpler if they were united under one?"
"Ah yes, your lifelong quest. Have you ever wondered why you want it. What drives you to claim it? Why you were placed in this desolate world? As I said, a cracked world is easily influenced. From my place out here in the Abyss, I can visit dreams, manipulate minds, and even slip little gifts through those cracks. Like a fallen star, or a drop of blood.... I know your plans Kashika, they were instilled in your veins."The red-amber eyes flash mischievously in the darkness.
"You wish to know my plans? Well, you already know part of them. Unfortunately, I can only hold this portal for so long, so I will make this short. Currently, I am known as the King of Nothing, but I will become the King of Nothing and Everything."He laughs. "You all wish to find this crown yes?" The eyes flick to the floating minotaur. "Shurkan. Show them."
The minotaur looks down at the portal grins, then lifts his right arm in front of him. When he does so, all the shadows in the room look as if they are being pulled into his outstretched hand. After a few moments, the shape of a crown forms, and the shadows disperse. The crown looks to be made entirely out of Iron, with three brilliant blue gems embedded on the front. Then, Shurkan's eyes flick down and focus on Nygil. That one wants a fight.
"Oh look there it is! Well, we found the crown now, should we just head back and tell one of the other dragons where it is? No? I suppose we're going to have to take it back to them ourselves." Devona sighed. "I don't suppose there's any chance you'd just let us have the crown to take back is there? No, I didn't think so. Ah well, I guess this is all heading one direction. Honestly I think I'd be looking for a way out too if I was stuck in the abyss like that. No wonder he's all riled up."Devona straightened herself out, "All right, whenever you're ready I suppose!"
With the tension mounting, Jumble began looking around the chamber; he wasn't sure what he was looking for, but anything--even cover--might be of help. As he did, he slowly drew his blade with his right hand, and grasped his shawm with his left. Ichabod, for his part, was already huddled behind his master at this point.

Kashika listened to the response and she doubted that this third dragon would NOT be bothered by a delay, despite his words otherwise (Insight: 13 ) but regardless of anything, she knew she had to push one more time. You claim I am already part of your plan, you visit me in my dreams though you only say my name. Tell me of your plan if yo truly seek my help. And answer quickly as you're short on time. If you refuse, I will do everything in my power to stop your plan even if it costs me my dream. I am not anyone's plaything anymore. And I never will be again.
Answer me as much as an equal as your pride can bear, or I will follow through in a different way and turn everything on it's head. After-all, You cannot harm me now. Tell me your plan and convince me of it's worth. Or, I will destroy your key. she said with confidence. Perhaps she was wrong but she was fairly certain she was right. With that, she readied Magic Missiles in case the demonitaur tried to throw the crown in any way, all 3 missiles would go for it, to knock it off course, with unerring aim.
When the Minotaur meets his gaze, Nygil rolls his eyes and then looks to Kashika, "Sooooo like I said. I think this guy's got some spells up his sleeves, so if he really wanted to he could just rain down uh... whatever magics he has access to. Soooo..." He shrugs then looks back up a the floating minotaur, "Hey buddy, I really think you should reconsider your course of action here. Just give us the crown and everyone will be happy."
He cracks his knuckles, "This isn't a fair fight, even with your creepy portal master behind you. You've already been restrained too, and don't think we'll go easy on you from here." He lets out an exasperated sigh, "Are we just going to sit here talking? Cause this doesn't seem to be getting us anywhere. Kashika, do you actually know this dragon? Personally, I don't think hearing his plan is necessary---just a waste of time if you ask me, but if you really want to hear it then okay..." He sees her ready some magic, and grins expectantly, ready to leap into action at any given moment.
Kashika looked to Nygil but didn't say anything. There was a reason she was asking and if she said anything for or against it, it might despoil her intent. The only thing she does respond to is the latter question.
No. I don't. I saw his or her eyes once in a dream when we were in the guards house, before the castle. But he merely stared at me, and shouted my name, then vanished. Not even a riddle to solve.
The booming voice laughs once again. "Key? You think the Crown is the Key? Or are you referring to my disciple? Oh Child you are so lost. It's quite humerus watching you all stumble around in the dark. So sure of what you are looking for, so sure you know what the solution to your problem is, you latch onto what you think is the answer never questioning if you grabbed the wrong one. Foolish mortals, all the same. I had hoped you would be different my child but I suppose that was to much to ask. No matter, you are here and that is all that is necessary." He sighs, "Chaos is my way, and chaos will be born from any path you choose, that is the way of the universe. You want the crown Child, and your companions want to return home. If you wish this to go easily, release my disciple, claim the crown and I will send your companions on their marry way. You can take revenge for the way you were treated all these years, or you can simply take the crown and go to whichever realm you like, or you can destroy it....if you can. Whatever you choose will bring me closer to reaching my goal. If that is what you want do it quickly, Shurkan can't keep the portal open in this place much longer, and it will be another year before he can open it again. A mere second for me, but i doubt your companions want to spend that long in this place."
Shurkan continues holding the crown out in front of him with a smug grin on his face.

Occassional Dungeon Master.
(Been having a rough week. Will try to get a post up at least by tomorrow.)
(Hang in there! :) )
(:D)
