(OOC: Is anyone going to turn to Sandral for healing? He is checking over people for wounds etc.)

Rinc pats himself down and examines his armor.....somehow he got out of this without an injury......"Hah!  Somebody Loves me."

Logum peers down the passage and back to the group. "Any of you interested in a little spelunking?" 

Alton sighs as he hears what the dwarf says, shaking his head and moving towards the hole. "If we must but please let us be quick about it. I have had my fill of dark caves for the next three life times."

(How bad is Sen'Ra looking? Need to work out what sort of spell Sandral will use)

From the time the group started travelling after their long rest from the abandoned kiln, Sandral knows that Sen'ra only had a shallow wound from a bite which the fire genasi prevented from fully damaging him because of his fiery rage.

Sandral will look to Sen'ra, then to the others. If Sen'ra is only lightly scratched, perhaps saving his healing abilities until later is advisable. "I can go first if people want." He offers, producing another flame in his hand to light his path.

(That's the problem. I botched my damage when I was getting hit bc I forgot about Rage resistance. I was also away for part of the battle. Any help, please? I just set my health at max for now.)

A few minutes have passed, Sandral's offer was met with silence. He then decided to go first and grabs the rope carefully as he descends. It felt that the rope was giving up on his weight but alas he reaches the ground, taking him at least a few seconds before he reached the bottom.

He lands at the east side of a closed room with walls that are made of bricks. On the north, a gargantuan statue of a dragon surrounds a tall mountain, it gives off an intimidating prescence as it has a gaping maw. Sandral thinks to himself that if he puts his hands inside it, the dragon might come alive and bite off his arm. Traces of black dust can be seen around the statue.

At the center, a small depression can be seen. There are some words etched on the ground but the language used seems to be written in Draconic. A brazier with a small shovel on the ground can be seen next to it, located closer to the depression than the gargantuan statue.

On the south, he sees a two more statues next to the wall. Each of the statue stands on a square block and their sizes contrasts each other, one of them is large and the other one is small. The former is covered in soot while the latter with dust. Between them, a lever can be seen but it seems to be stuck.

With little else to do, Alton will shrug and go down after Sandral, using the light from flame to see. Once he gets to the floor below he will draw his sword once more to add more light.

Sen'ra will follow, then use Produce Flame for even more light!

"It seems safe." Sandral says up to the others. "There is a dragon statue, and another two of contrasting size with a lever betwixt them." He shapes his flames to check the area nearby him with colour. "There appears to be some script here, I am unfamiliar with it."

As half of the group climbed down, Guras and Kirpo descends and helps Sandral. With enough lighting on the room, Kirpo managed to read the etched text.

"There is a small poem written here. I will have to take pauses in between to translate it so its meaning would not be lost. Ehem, here it goes.

A fellow warrior would lead you to the rest

but first you must prove yourself to his test.

 

A lever is placed and will be unlocked when everything is in order.

So follow the instructions carefully and always remember.

 

Lead the oppresive enemy to the dragon, and trap it on this depress

And its fiery might will be the key to your success.

 

Its breath will burn the warmonger but first you must fill its hunger.

Chunks of black earth is a must, and a roaring fire as an offer.

 

When everything is placed in order, you must run and take cover.

Or you will see yourself covered in smolder.

That's it."

Guras gives an applause at Kirpo

"Do it again, do it again."

Kirpo looks at him with a menacing glare, indicating he's not in the mood to humor him.

"soooo....who is this warmonger enemy anyway we should lead here.  Black earth would be coal?"  Rinc glances and the shovel and brazier and looks around for any coal....." And also.....Does anyone see any water source?"

"Seems like a good start, let's work together." Sandral says, helping Rinc with searching the room for anything useful.

Rinc and Sandral takes a scrutinizing view around and finds neither coal nor water inside this underground room.

Sen'ra will also look around.

After snooping around the room, Sen'ra finds that the traces of black dust scattered around the gargantuan statue is concentrated on the dragon's mouth, particularly the tongue.

It seems to be part of a mechanism that involves weight as springs can be seen below the tongue.
