((just because I want to put this guy down, did he use his Bonus Action to attempt to hide? He used his action to cast the scroll, and most creatures do not have the Cunning Action feature, so I'm not sure if he could have done this. But just in case: Duncan perception: 27; Also, the Fog Cloud is a 20 foot radius. Assuming he cast it in the middle of us, that would mean only 20 feet before he, and we, are outside of it again. Likely his movement is 30 feet, so he wouldn't be far yet))
Duncan, attempting to listen to the direction of where the assassin ran, uses his full movement and dash ((60 feet)) to run in the same direction and attempt to simply get into melee range with the assassin again, saying, "I won't let you run!"
Seeing his companions running toward the assassin attempting escape, Kasbis follows suit, angry that his his magic failed to finish him off. He gathers up Gaz as he’s running and follows along behind Duncan and Hrathen, hopeful to get a clear shot again. ((Let me know if he has a clear shot at him again.))

Kasbis turns to Duncan and Hrathen, saying to Duncan “Search his body for anything useful, then we are out of here, I’ll have no lip from you Duncan, we are in grave danger here! Hrathen, we must prepare to leave, now!” Kasbis moves quickly back to where they were, preparing to put his back to Widoze, with haste.

Looking down at the dead assassin in front of him, Duncan quickly looks around the area to see if anyone is watching ((perception 17)), and then helps look over the man's body to see what can be found.
"Take the scroll, we can use the coin later,"Duncan says as he takes the note and looks it over, adding, "I've seen things like this before... though it looks just like a shopping list there is a code included, though I cannot read it." He then hands the note back and says, "Shall we be off? I still feel that we are inadequately prepared... and we need to learn who is after us." Finally he takes the weapon that the would-be assassin used to inflict so much pain on his companion, puts it in his belt, and is ready to follow the others.
