Kasbis strains to listen to the sounds, trying to determine their origin and meaning. (He speaks abyssal, if that is relevant.). He walks behind Duncan, continuing to follow him east.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"Well that's gods damned creepy,"Duncan says as he keeps his eyes open and keeps following the tracks ((since nothing really happened I figure the same perception rolls from earlier apply))
Kasbis moves up with Duncan, having difficulty with his footing at times. “What’s that noise?” Kasbis whispers. He moves Hugo ahead 50 feet with his torch, hopefully illuminating the area.

Kasbis and Duncan were not quite stealthy and you here someone stop mining and running towards the north. You can hear the sound of their feet pounding on the loose gravel.
I placed an orange arrow in the direction the person ran
Not expecting anyone else to be down here, Duncan abandons any pretense of stealth, and chases after the footsteps, calling out, "Wait! We're here to help!"though still on alert, knowing that there is likely danger around every corner.
Kasbis runs after Duncan and Aisha, “Wait for me!”, jostling Gaz in his pocket as he jogs, who lets out a little hiss of annoyance. He strains to listen and look as he runs to see the one they are chasing, also looking for movement and any signs of traps.

Kasbis is able to see the edge of a pressure plate and Duncan is about to step on it. The mysterious miner is not seen as it probably rounded the bend in the northern passage.
((I’m going to assume K will warn Duncan of the plate))
Barely catching his footing as Kas yells out his warning, Duncan takes a step away from the plate and says, “There are more dangers here than those whispers it seems… Who would have set something like that?” He then looks around for a relatively large stone and from 20 feet away or so tosses it to the plate to set off the trap and see what nearly happened to him.

"This could get interesting, I serve Elestine and it seems like Shalaster is influencing this place." Aisha whispers.
As the party continues east you hear the clinking sound of a lone pickaxe.
I placed a orange dote from where Duncan thinks the sound if coming from.
Though not very stealthy, Duncan does his best to quiet his armor as he approaches the sound.

Aisha tenses ready to pursue if what happens, but doesn't know if that's what they should do.

Upon triggering the pressure plate darkness engulfs the area exactly as described in the darkness spell. darkness
Luckily Duncan is outside of the darkness range
Then you hear a sickly wet sound coming from the ground and ceiling as tendrils come out and seek flesh. They have a range of 60ft.
